Following on from the gallus projection of the ALBA logo and message “ALBA IS RISING For Independence” onto the BBC Scotland building at Pacific Quay in Glasgow on Monday evening ALBA have released further stunning images of Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Dundee’s Caird Hall as part of the ALBA logo’s iconic tour.

Commenting on the images ALBA Lead Candidate for Lothian Kenny MacAskill MP said:

“These images reflect ALBA rising across Scotland as we see a groundswell of support across the country.

Edinburgh Castle, the historic fortress of Scotland’s capital, sits upon a dormant volcano but we believe projecting onto it is highly symbolic as we are set to witness a political earthquake on Thursday 6 May with ALBA MSPs being elected for the first time.

“ALBA is injecting urgency for Independence into this Election. Only a vote for ALBA on the list will accelerate progress towards Independence at this Election. As people realise that a vote for the SNP is wasted on the list, returning zero MSPs and helping elect Unionist MSPs, so support for ALBA is rising.”

ALBA Lead Candidate for Mid Scotland and Fife Eva Comrie continued:

“Stirling Castle is in the historic heart of Scotland and was where the Lion Rampant first flew. It is here that the history of Scotland was shaped and it is here in Mid Scotland and Fife, the bell weather in every election, where history can be made again when we return MSPs for ALBA. It is ALBA and only ALBA who will campaign to protect and preserve women’s only spaces. When people hear the ALBA message they like it. That is why support for ALBA is rising”.

Candidate for North Scotland Heather McLean concluded:

“The Caird Hall is a symbol of Dundee’s radical traditions as a city culminating in its support for Independence in 2014. Dundee can continue that radical tradition by shaking things up in this Election. ALBA is standing on the most ambitious and radical manifesto of any party such as our plans to double the educational maintenance allowance for young people staying on at school and college and to increase the Scottish Child Payment to £40 a week to lift families out of poverty. Just two more reasons why support for ALBA is rising”.
