After a long break, the midweek Through A Scottish Prism podcasts are back. The past year has been a busy one with the forming of the Alliance To Liberate Scotland and the election in May. However, we are back now and addressing the matters in the world that affect Scotland.
One of the many deficiencies in our governance is foreign policy. Our English masters get to decide all that: whom we are to ally with,whom we are to go to war against, whom we trade with whom we are to boycott.
It revealed itself in all its abomination in 2016 when England’s votes dragged the very pro-EU Scotland out of the organisation. With the subsequent behaviour of the EU and von der Leyen and Kallas in particular, it is a blessing, however undemocratic.
The English on our behalf have us not only denying a genocide in Palestine but participating in the same—-assisting the rogue states of the US and Israel in an illegal war in Iran and Yemen by allowing US bombers to use airfields in England to bomb Iran.
We are told that Russia, China, North Korea, Iran,and Yemen are our enemies. I find this difficult to accept; being an avid history buff, I have searched every source and I cannot find a single instance in over a thousand years of any of these nations threatening my nation of birth.
Indeed, if history teaches us anything, it is our southern neighbour that has always been the one nation we need to guard against. Nowadays they keep us locked inside a union that is to say the least, a questionable treaty!
The main reason I began the podcast is clued in the name, Through a Scottish Prism. All our media, narratives, television, drama, and documentaries– our world view is relayed to us through the prism of imperial London.
Everything on our screens, radios, and newspapers is pro-Anglo propaganda. All the characters in our dramas are invariably middle- class Anglos; the villains are all very much Home Counties stereotypes, you know the drunken Scot, the stupid Irishman, the slow Welshman, the much smarter cool Englishman that always outsmarts and out thinks the Celts It is why they are so obsessed about the Scots, Welsh and Irish “getting behind “our team” when it is England playing.
I have made my stance on all wars numerous times; however, for any new readers, let me once more state: since my teenage days I have been anti-war. I went on numerous Stop the Vietnam War protests. I marched against the illegal Iraq wars. I have campaigned against WMD my entire adult life.
The day the Russian tanks crossed into the Donbas and Luhansk in February 2022, I pleaded for an immediate ceasefire and a negotiated settlement. This had the pro-Anglo, pro-NATO shills attacking me and calling me pro-Putin. They are so blinded by the propaganda they see anyone opposing war as on the other side. Unprovoked, the warmongers lie to you. Look up Maidan in Ukraine 2014; the US regime changed a pro-Russian democratically elected Ukraine government and helped elevate a pro-Western fascist government in its place.
It is the same in West Asia; my opposition to the genocide and apartheid of Israel has me labelled as an anti-Semite. Nonsense, of course; however the captured warmongers have no ability to deploy critical thinking, only bile and hate!
This is why this week’s podcast is solely on the SMO in Ukraine and the illegal war on Iran. Unlike the BBC, STV, and Ch4 we do not try to convince you to blindly support what our government has told you to support.
We try to bring you some news and views that you will never hear or read in Western media. We report both sides of the conflicts. We tell the truths that the Western media never will tell you. We are not the good guys in either conflict.
In both of these unnecessary wars, we in the West are, by virtue of our UK Government, supporting two fascist states in their illegal wars. They say the first casualty in any war is truth; that for sure is the case in these two present-day conflicts.
Something else our corrupt media and governments won’t tell you is that in both these instances we are losing, and losing badly. The more precarious things become on the battlefield, the more they increase the lies and propaganda.
Some of you might be saying to yourselves, “These wars have nothing to do with me; they are so far away from Scotland.” You would be wrong; the “cost of living crisis” as our propagandists call it, should actually be called the cost of imperialism and vulture capitalism. Wars are always and only ever about two things; land and resources/wealth. These are no different. Do not be fooled; they have nothing to do with self-defence nor nuclear weapons. It is a land grab by Israel for their Greater Israel project and the US corporations’ desire to control the vast abundance of Russian natural resources.

This is the topic for today’s midweek Through A Scottish Prism Podcast. I am joined by Finbar Markey and Phil Boswell to dissect and debate these two tragedies unfolding in Ukraine and West Asia.
My wish is that these conflicts end and peace is restored. Sadly, some of the world’s most evil men profit from deaths on the battlefield. There is no profit in peace for these people. Gen. Eisenhower, himself a professional soldier who led the Western Allies in the days when we fought against fascists, not fought for them, warned us about the military- industrial complex. It is, as with most things folks, follow the money!
