As we get ever closer to the Holyrood election, I have the pleasure of interviewing two more of the Alliance To Liberate Scotland candidates. Laura Hansler, the prospective candidate for Skye, Fochabers and Badenoch as well as a list candidate on the Highlands & Islands.
I am also joined by David Baird a long-time independence campaigner who is standing on the Central Scotland & Lothians list.
These two candidates for the Alliance give us some background on their reasons and motivation to stand for office. I do not think that it can be over emphasised the courage and tenacity it takes to actually put your head above the parapet of public scrutiny.
While detractors and know-it-alls sit in their bedrooms pontificating about all that is wrong with Scotland and individual parties these candidates and their colleagues attempt to actually do something practical to remedy the dire situation for our nation.

See James Kelly is now claiming Liberate Scotland is far right, that man is such a plank. He is so desperate for relevance.
His jealousy of others in the independence media is legendary.
He never attacks the union,funny that
James Kelly, has become part of a bigger problem we have within the Independence movement, it’s been happening since Sturgeon took over after the 1st referendum. Where the focus isn’t achieving Independence, it’s to turn people away from wanting it entirely.
He knows that constantly promoting the idea of ATLS as a far right party anyone who wanted to vote for this party on the list would be turned off entirely, this is the same thing the SNP is doing with it campaign with Reform, if you think about it the SNP and Mr Kelly knows by giving the SNP both votes the SNP, Kelly and The National will stop the majority that John Swinney wants and allow Reform to win 20+ seats on the list and this is their goal and its sad because people who do want Independence are being fooled by the people who want to stop it.
For a long time now, we’ve had certain individuals who I have mentioned making a living out saying they want Independence but instead they don’t and never will simply because if Independence happened the monthly money would stop and they have nothing else to talk about.
I have constantly pleaded with people not to buy The National, it just isn’t a nationalist newspaper to which Mr Kelly is allowed to write for.
I lost the will to draw air the amount of times I tried and failed to point out why the SNP doesn’t want Independence and people just will not listen or open their eye’s and I think to myself wait a minute you don’t need to listen to me look for yourselves if not for you then do it for Scotland.
Please point out to me anything that James Kelly, or these others who write for the Rag newspaper where they have called the SNP out or written about a legal route to achieve Independence, you won’t find it.
I don’t believe, James Kelly, SNP, Greens or the RAG and the people who write for it, have ever had Scotland interest at heart and its time for us who do want Independence to stop listening to these individuals, because if we don’t, nothing will change and its change they don’t want.
