Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Woo York - Orbital - Single - Orbital

Through A Scottish Prism 06/08/23

This week Lloyd Quinan, Yvonne Ridley, Phil Boswell and Eva Comrie join me to discuss the political week in Scotland.

We begin with Margaret Ferrier and the recall motion. We debate in detail all the aspects of this by-election. We note those that caused it and their motives. We offer different scenarios and hear from the panel their views on the likely outcome and repercussions.

We also pay attention to this week’s poll that highlighted Scottish attitudes to the upcoming 5 years inside the imploding Union. The announcement by the Tories that they intend to extract the maximum revenue out of Scotland’s North Sea while at the same time telling Scots they are too poor to be independent. Aren’t we lucky to have those broad British shoulders to take care of the extra £80 billion they intend putting into the English piggy bank and not burdening Scotland with such wealth.

At the same time as Westminster is raping Scotland’s oil, the middle class morons of Stop Oil are vandalising Holyrood with their now infamous orange paint. One of our panel reveals these very middle class protestors are not even Scots. Yet they think they can desecrate our Parliament! Remember though we are not a colony, that little rich kids from England can come here and do whatever they want.

We round off our show discussing Jeremy Vine and his suggestion that Westminster should create a law making it a crime for Scots to discuss independence in their places of work. Nosiree, we are not a colony in the English eyes!
