There are two absolute certainties in the coming few weeks. Manchester City will win The English Premier League and The SNP will win the Scottish General election. The only details to be wrapped up in both cases is by how many points and how many seats.
I doubt you would get very favourable odds from the bookies if at this late stage you tried to place a wee bet on these two outcomes. Both events will be covered extensively in the MSM. What you won’t get though in the Scottish General Election from the MSM is much coverage on anything to do with the Alba Party of Independence.
The establishment in England and Scotland are terrified of this new party. It is a bigger danger to the British Union/English Empire than anything since the Scottish Independence Referendum of 2014. It is no coincidence that both of these dangers to the present Union were led by one Alex.Salmond.
He absolutely terrifies the Unionists they see him as the biggest threat to their hegemony. Today they cannot believe their luck that Nicola Sturgeon and her cabal have united with them in trying to destroy this imminent short and long-term threat to Mother England’s over lordship of Scotland.
With this in mind myself and my good friend Iain Lawson of. https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/ have decided to bring you series of articles involving The Alba Party. In the remaining weeks of the campaign, we will bring you updates regarding Alba that are happening in your region of Scotland. We have our ‘correspondents’ in each of the regions who will write weekly updates on Alba Party campaign progress. You will know what events or actions are happening in your local area. You may want to get yourself a window poster or deliver some leaflets. There will be news on speeches, zoom meetings, and any and all activities occurring local to you.
This should be being covered by the so-called 4th Estate in Scotland, sadly instead we have a 5th column. A foreign owned media and broadcasting industry that is there to serve the Parliament and people of England, not Scotland. They will however be bringing you news of the SNP and anything that is said to attack Alba and Scottish independence. What this MSM will not report is anything positive about The Alba Party or anything that is critical of the British Union or the unionist parties.
It is with deep regret not just of this site but all the pro independence sites that the SNP under Nicola Sturgeon has chosen to demonise us and instead support the British media with all at her disposal. A £3,000,000 financial stimulus for anti-Scottish MSM horrified many of us. That she employed the author and ex-Managing Editor of the now infamous Daily Record Vow as her Head of Communications that should have been a warning to all independence supporters. Not long after this appointment the demonising of the pro independence media began. It has intensified over the past year to the extent that many supporters of the SNP and independence now join in those attacks against the very people that came into being to be their voice, the voice of the forgotten independence voters.
This site, long before Alba or even ISP was begging the SNP to utilise this pro independence media. The people that vote SNP are more likely to read this blog or Wings, Grousebeater, Jeggit, Yours for Scotland, Scotgoespop et al than they are to read Record, Sun, Scotsman, etc.
The folk that vote SNP or Alba are the same voters that in 2014 stood outside BBC Pacific Quay protesting the British bias. They do not trust or read the MSM. However, for some inexplicable reason Sturgeon has chosen to run her 2021 campaign using these British media outlets. She has also shamefully used them to attack the only other 100% committed pro independence party in this election. She is allowing her personal animosity to get in the way of Scotland’s best interests. This is just so wrong! Ultimately it is my belief she will pay a heavy price for this behaviour. The Scottish people showed with Labour that when they turn it is sudden and it is final. For now Nicola Sturgeon and The SNP are safe. That will not always be the case and the Scots have long memories.
I have not hidden my contempt for Ms Sturgeon nor for where she has taken my party of choice. I think she has been an unmitigated disaster for the Party, the Movement and the quest of Scottish independence. All that said this site will continue up until the polls close on Thursday, May 6, 2021, be promoting, Vote SNP in the Constituency & Alba Party on the Regional List.
We do that because it is in Scotland’s best interests and that to me is more important than anything else. I will continue here and on social media to promote that tactic as the best means of advancing Scottish independence. My dislike of Ms Sturgeon, her husband and her regime will not affect my commitment to the cause of Scotland. I will leave those who need personality over real politick to hero worship and demean other personalities. I only wish she to could put Scotland before her own narrow prejudices.
So, starting on Monday look out for your regional updates. If there is something, our reports do not cover then let us know what you require. The pro independence Media will never abandon or forget who we are or who we are here to represent, all independence supporters! Our cause is, Scotland’s Independence, nothing else! Others can go and break bread with the anti-Scottish MSM and Broadcasters, we will never sell our heritage for a mess of pottage!
Saor Alba gu brath.

Brilliantly put.
A third of the campaign has already been spent with personality politics and reacting to the spewings of a foreign country’s government and its establishment instead of having a threefold pro-indy message. I’m hoping that this can change and the 2/3rds remaining can be fully utilised to send a message of what a modern vibrant independent Scottish state can and will look like. It would be good if you and maybe some of your contributors could do articles covering this even if only to make a suggestion on what can be achieved from the pov of Scotland already as a modern vibrant independent state. For example,
As a massive scifi and fantasy fan, it would be great for Scotland to create and produce a range of top quality programs and films of this genre highlighting the wonderful country and the ingenuity of its people in programs and films that will resonate with folk all over the world. Who doesn’t love Star Trek, FireFly, Stargate, Supernatural, Haven to name but a few? Now imagine a Scottish script writer bringing this genre to life. Scottish creativity and production could bring a modern vibrant independent Scottish state to the fore. Great for an emerging Scottish industry, great for tourism and great for highlighting what the Scots are capable of.
One of the aims of Alba is to realise a modern vibrant Scottish state.
For me, I would love to see statewide cycle infrastructure like other European countries have. Scotland is blessed with an abundance of beautiful countryside, mountain and sea views. It would be great if in a joined up less car centric Scottish state that the people could fully explore the length and breadth of Scotland. In conjunction with this the islands could be joined and repopulated while maintaining their beauty. And an end to the bombing/militarised use of the islands and waters, which need cleaned up and the dumped uranium shells and other ammo removed. Thus also opening up new shipping routes and the creation of harbours and a dedicated sea rescue organisation. A modern Scotland could and should do away with nuclear weapons and the numerous high Street charities and food donation outlets. In their place a properly funded NHS, a true living wage, houses that are affordable for all not just the better off and an education system that reflects the talents and interests of the people from a young age rather than the cookie cutter system it has had for many decades with an emphasis on Scots, Gaelic and the real Scottish history which includes acknowledgement of its Scythian roots not just its Celtic connections. Instead of the countless charities the money, reinvested from poor policies that are thrust on Scotland, can be used to properly finance or buy the equipment and expertise needed such as a properly financed PDSA and SSPCA and orphan drug development. There are so many things that can be actualised in a modern vibrant Scottish state. hese are just a few things that can be enacted for the betterment of Scotland and its people.
Having local “correspondents” contributing local information is an excellent and much needed initiative—well done you, Mr Lawson and your associates.
Superb!
My sentiments are in there.
It’s good you are going to keep us up to date around the regions and any impending zoom
Online meetings giving us time to get on.
My frustration is, for independence and the union break, there is nothing oven ready
In the way of infrastructures to transition.
As I feel all should be in place ready to go.
Including , all the negotiation scenarios in taking over all the levers and power transitions.

I think that after this election if Sturgeon and the SNP do not respond to Alba’s gingering them up for independence Alba will have to become a party that fights in the next Westminster election.
Got my postal ballots in today. All filled in and ready to go, West Scotland S.N.P. 1 / ALBA 2.
Meant to say, Roddy, I consider the above to be your finest work. An excellent read and essential source of information. I’ve often wondered where to begin when someone, seeking answers, asks me questions and this article, with its historical layout and attention to chronological events, laid out in an easy to read style and interesting style, fits the demands perfectly. I would say that this article, among the many thousands I’ve read over the past 7 or 8 years, is the concise go to for those with problems on ‘where to begin’. I posted a link to ‘The News Where You Are’ to my daughter as I felt it covered all the bases, from ‘the beginning’ right up to present times.
I’ve been reading you since the early days and I have to say your writing technique, style and presentation has improved from ‘well-informed’ to ‘brilliantly-written important source’, its never been better.
I should also say that I very much enjoyed your straight-down-the-line and very successful approach to the interview with Alex Salmond; well done with that.
I might not always have the time to comment but the post above deserved it.
Thanks for all your tireless work, commitment, and excellent information.
You are too kind sir I am humbled by your words of encouragement, thank you.
