We need Phil back in Scotland ASAP.
I first saw him in a Guardian video in the run up to the 2015 election. He came across as a really down to earth guy who connected with punters effortlessly.
He clearly knows his onions, has a great sense of natural justice and his priorities are exactly what the SNP needs.

Lovely to hear from Phil. Met some of the best people during his 2015 campaign – the enthusiasm and passion for indy from all those newly signed up members was palpable at that time.
Very interesting interview. Phil Boswell is just the down-to-earth sort who can connect with the large number of centrist soft noes and soft yessers that leftie ‘anoraks’ alas don’t reach; a man who’s been successful away from politics, who’s well aware of the force of the profit motive (and its resulting efficiencies) in life yet can also put it aside for a greater cause. Great stuff! I’d really like to see him involved back on the political scene over the vital next nine months.
Barrhead, I am disappointed that you threw him some very soft balls, if any, over the current serious impasse the Murrells have led us into! I mean particularly their grant of a veto to Boris Johnson over Scotland’s independence and their stubborn refusal to confront the British State in any meaningful way, prioritizing their continued rule at Holyrood over all else.
Why did you not press him for his view? It is the biggest single issue we face. His response to your questions re Craig’s upcoming trial for jigsaw identification show that Boswell is quite capable of being both tactful and straight.
