With Holyrood closing for the summer, this should be our last podcast until the autumn. However, our politicians on both sides of the border do tend to give us reason to make specials throughout the summer. I don’t expect this year will be any different.
This was a heck of a week to close off the summer. We had Keir Starmer, the great pretender, resign as PM and Labour Party leader. The man that pretended to be Jeremy Corbyn’s friend, then backstabbed him, and finally expelled him from the Labour Party.
The man that pretended to be a socialist and then enacted policies that even the Tories would balk at! The man that pretends to care about human rights then not only supplies arms but openly participates in a genocide in Palestine.
A man that prior to the 2024 election pretended to be on the side of the WASPI women and dropped them like a hot potato as soon as he got the keys to Number 10. The man that pretended to Scotland that he would save the Grangemouth Refinery and again, as soon as the election was over, he didn’t lift a finger to save the jobs in Scotland.
The man that made 10 pledges to the Labour Party members during the leadership carnival and then dropped every single one of those pledges as soon as he became leader. A thoroughly dishonest, scheming charlatan.
We also are unlikely to ever find out the truth about Keir Starmer and the Ukrainian rent boys. Nobody believes he just played cards with them or that they were employed by the FSB, formerly the KGB. No matter how much our corrupt imperial media push this line, the less the British public believe that it was the Russians that made the rent boys arson Starmer’s back door and car!
So it seems for whatever reason the real rulers of the UK decided Starmer had run his race and they needed a new puppet to protect the interests of the 1% Anglo elite. They chose a Manchester local authority mayor to be the latest patsy for them. I am now wondering if since 2014 the UK has had more PMs than Glasgow Rangers have had managers? A pub quiz question for sure!
What of this new great white Anglo hope? Well, just like Starmer, Burnham is a fully paid-up member of Labour Friends of Israel and a devout Zionist. Like Starmer, he is a neoliberal economics devotee. Another little Englander that will deny Scotland its democratic rights.
Like Starmer, he will arm and, if necessary, make our air force and special forces available to the genocidal Israelis. He will, just like Starmer, support the fascist regime in Kiev, while turning a blind eye to the war crimes of both Israel and Ukraine.
Like Starmer, Burnham believes in Anglo supremacy over Scotland, Wales, and the six occupied counties of Ireland. Indeed, it is almost impossible to get a cigarette paper between the two men.Starmer accepted all sorts of gifts and services while in office. Burnham gave a huge EV infrastructure contract to a company where his wife just happens to be the Chief Marketing & Customer Officer; just a coincidence, hmm?
Meanwhile, in Scotland, the embezzler Peter Murrell, Mr.Sturgeon was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months for stealing £420,000 of SNP funds. All this was done while his wife was his boss as well as his spouse. You are to believe she never suspected a thing. Funnily enough, it was ordinary members who didn’t spend every day in the company of this thief that raised suspicions of wrongdoing. Apparently, Sturgeon never suspected anything; indeed, she denied that the funds were missing and told members the finances had never been stronger.
This week, ex-SNP NEC members and members of the SNP Finance Committee went on record to tell us that they were bullied and harassed for daring to express concerns to the NEC and Sturgeon over Murrell and the lack of transparency with the accounts. Not surprisingly, Sturgeon denies everything as always!
In the same week as her ex was starting his jail sentence, the Sturgeon was on an ITV reality TV programme playing pretend Deputy PM of the UK. If you listen carefully, you can hear the bodies of Alex Salmond, Donald Stewart, Winnie Ewing, Margo MacDonald, Margaret Bain, Dr. Robert Mcintyre, Don Roberto, and hundreds of thousands of devoted Scottish independence supporters spinning in their graves at the very thought of an ex-leader of the SNP playing the part of a Brit. Perhaps it is the reverse; maybe she is a Brit that played the part of being a Scottish independence supporter!
We also had uproar from numerous Anglo- imperialists and the usual corrupt media luvvies over Lara Bird making her oath to the sovereign people of Scotland and taking the oath to the King of England under protest. I say good on her; if these people are upset, then she is doing something right. I do not think any Scot should serve in that English establishment; however, those that do should disrupt every day they are forced to be there.
This and more is what our panel of Eva Comrie, Mark Mair, Phil Boswell, and Terry Howson had to discuss this week on your favourite political review podcast.

Glad you keep calling out thd corruption in English and Scottish parliaments.
Without you and Wings these grifters would not be getting widely exposed.
Thank you for saying,it is appreciated
I see the Alliance to Liberate Scotland guy got 13 votes in the Aberdeen Council bye-election the other day. Onwards and upwards.
Off topic but I was disappointed to see such poor showing for the ATLS candidate Konrad Rekas in the Aberdeen South council election. With 13 votes it would suggest he only managed a friends and family vote. Maybe he did little promotion or canvassing. Political commentators are writing the party of as dead. Lets hope not… it’s going to take some time for the party to work it’s way into the public consciousness as a serious political force As long as it hangs in there, over time it should gradually gain support. New parties starting up seldom seem to gain much traction in the beginning.
There is very little point in a party who doesn’t stand in all election and says we backing SNP when they don’t. For me ATLS is dead and buried before it started but had promise.
There is only one party who stood by what it says ISP I’m not surprised Alan left and joined them.
I’m not sure that there’s any point in a party that has no policies other than national independence participating in local authority elections.
It’s stillborn. He would have gotten more votes if he had a bin on his head. Thankfully, you can stand in a council election for free.

The time for the guilty draws nigh!
Regardless of what one thinks of Nigel Farage his decision to stand.down and allow the people of Clacton to choose a new MP is democratic.
But as we see again and again politics in the UK is not in anyway democratic. With major parties of Labour, Conservative, Liberal and Reclaim colluding to stand and denying voters choice this is an utter outrage.
I peraonakky would not under any circumstances vote for someone like Farage. The odd £5m gift here or another few million from somewhere else is not something I find democratic. appealing. Quite the absolute reverse. .But just look at the Tories and Labour. They are awash with big money backers.
Mandelsons are them. And then of course there is the partisan, sectarian and thoroughly corrupt mechanisms of government whereby the police and prosecution raise vindictive actions whilst disregarding and hiding criminality of the chosen politicos. Mandelson or the unelected Prince Andrew being recent examples where they walk about free regardless of whatever they do.
But back to Farage and Clacton I heard on the BBC that the government should ban the bye election. And in that you see just how rotten our faux democracy actually is.
It the exposure of our system whereby the voters are as good as banned. Indeed many years ago Ken Livingston wrote a book titled…” if voting changed anything they’d abolish it “
