No ifs, No buts!

Prior to the Holyrood Election of 2021, I highlighted that for the previous four years the Green Party had been somewhat mute on the matter of independence. As soon as the campaign began The Greens were placing themselves as more committed to independence than even the SNP.Much like the SNP however, it is only when votes are required that the Greens or SNP suddenly find their independence credentials.

Using that tactic or falsehood if you prefer earning them eight List seats and two Cabinet posts. I think it is fair to say their inclusion and influence have been a disaster for the Scottish Government, the Scottish people and the SNP.

The farce of free bikes and worse still the Deposit Return Scheme have damaged the government’s credibility. That Lorna Slater brought in a PFI type scheme for Nature Scotland plans to rewild and replant our forests is scandalous.

However, by far and the worst malignant influence of these Greens has been the much loathed and very damaging GRRB. The Greens insistence on Stonewall involvement in all government policies has been disastrous for both Scotland and the government.

There cannot be any doubt that this one factor divided the SNP, the Yes Movement and public opinion. It also ultimately forced the First Minister’s resignation. Overall GRRB has been a disaster and is likely to continue to be so if the new incumbent in Bute House has the stupidity to challenge the UK Section 35 order. The UK Supreme Court will never rule against the sovereignty of Westminster!

The Greens made Stonewall ideology a condition to their participation in the Sturgeon Regime. A politician with any brains would have said thanks, but no thanks! Unfortunately, it seems Ms Sturgeon shared the Green’s enthusiasm for getting rapists into women’s safe spaces, prisons and sports! She has paid a heavy price for her obsession with this gender nonsense. Sadly, so too has Scotland, the SNP and the independence cause.

With Sturgeon’s departure all true independence supporters hope for a refresh to our independence cause. As I have pointed out many times in her 8 years and 5 months of leadership Ms Sturgeon did not invoke a single practical measure to advance the cause of independence. As of today we have actually regressed from the position in November 2014 when she took over as SNP leader.

In her entire time in office, she marched in numerous Gay Prides, England’s People Marches in London to get a new Brexit Referendum but not once did she march with AUOB for independence. It really should have been a clue for many more supporters of Scottish independence. It highlighted Sturgeon’s priorities perfectly. Independence was not one of her main drivers. Like the Greens it is nothing more than a means to get elected.

With her departure there is renewed hope that if we get an independence focussed new leader and not Humza Yousaf, of course, then we can as they say, get the show back on the road!

With this in mind AUOB early on invited all three SNP leadership hopefuls to march and speak at the upcoming march in Glasgow on Saturday, 6th May. It was great to hear that all three had during the campaign agreed to attend this kick-start to independence campaigning. It confirmed the commitment to the cause by all three candidates. That was until the English newspaper The Times interviewed Humza Yousaf and asked him if he became the new First Minister and received an invitation to Westminster Abbey, London. SW1P 3PA would he attend the coronation? “and therefore, I will be at the Coronation because I think it’s right for the first minister to lead by example.”

Therefore, the coronation of Charles Philip Arthur George Saxe-Coburg & Gotha is of greater importance than Scottish independence to at least one leadership candidate. Just like Sturgeon it seems Yousaf is more concerned that he does not offend the enemies of Scottish independence rather than enthuse the supporters of independence.

For the avoidance of doubt a recent poll carried out by Panelbase shows Scots prefer the idea of an elected head of state as opposed to a monarchy.

The Panelbase survey found 55 per cent would prefer to have an elected head of state rather than have the current monarch when “don’t knows” were excluded.

In contrast 45 per cent said they would want to keep King Charles as Scotland’s head of state.

Some 73 per cent of Scots who voted for the SNP in the constituency part of last year’s Holyrood election were in favour of a republic as were 52 per cent of those who voted for Scottish Labour. Humza is showing that just like Sturgeon, he is useless at reading the mood of the Scottish people!

https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/23219191.poll-scots-favour-republic-king-charles-yes-vote/

What of the Greens? That truly committed independence loving party! Well, we already know these so-called partners in government of the SNP, have said that if the SNP members choose either Ash Regan or Kate Forbes they will not remain in the government. Their commitment is such that unless they get the gender sympathetic Humza as First Minister they will pick up their toys and go home.

They too received an invitation from AUOB to march and show their strong commitment to independence. They did after all in 2021 elections extol their undying love of Scottish independence. I am sure the AUOB were expectant that the invite would be grasped gratefully by both Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater so they could argue passionately for the Scottish cause.

The problem is this Green Party is unique among similar parties throughout the globe and it is this, green issues are not the main focus of The Scottish Green Party! Environmental issues are not the main driver for Patrick’s Party. Nor it seems is independence. Just like remaining in government the Greens put conditions on supporting the independence cause. Gender issues are the driving force for Patrick and his weirdo colleagues.

The telling paragraph says the following.

We have a clear and consistent position however that we will not share a platform with individuals who do not share our vision of a progressive and inclusive Scotland, and whose actions we believe actively damage the case for independence. Can you confirm who else will be speaking at the rally? We will confirm our participation as soon as possible.

Once more the Greens showing that their commitment to independence is paper thin. It is only a priority when they want your votes. They prioritise putting rapists like Adam Graham into women’s prisons rather than Scotland’s freedom. Latest polling shows that around 70% of Scots oppose the GRRB and all it entails. Yet, the Scottish Greens make acceptance of this minority position a condition to their continued participation in government or campaigning for independence.

Most genuine Independence supporters hold different views. I have never hidden my admiration for the great Winnie Ewing. She was my reason to get involved in Scotland’s struggle. She inspired me then and still does to this day. I remember a Conference speech around 1977. It was when the ill fated 1979 Devolution Bill was being debated in Scotland. Tam Dalyell a famous Labour MP and anti- devolutionist created the famous West Lothian Question. He referred to devolution as ”the slippery slope to independence.” Winnie took up this theme for her conference speech. I will paraphrase her views. ‘ Tam says devolution is a slippery slope to independence and I will say this, I will gladly hold Tams hand in mine and the hand of a Tory in the other and we can all slide down that slope to independence together!”

I along with the rest of the SNP members at that Conference got to our feet and we clapped and cheered and whooped, we loved the sentiment, the committment, the sense of her argument. I think that speech and that day is what cemented me to our cause.

She didn’t for an instant suggest she wouldn’t participate if Unionists were involved. People with polar opposite views to our own! Indeed, the exact opposite. She would help lead them to that promised land. That is what true patriots of Scotland do, we convince people by the power of our argument! You do not blackmail or threaten people into submission to your view as the Greens are trying to do!

Then you have the Greens with their conditions. Just as Sturgeon always found reasons not to march for independence so too do the Greens. My message to Harvie and the rest of his Green charlatans is simple. No ifs, no buts, you are either with us or you are not.

No longer can we tolerate the false prophets that promise independence at elections and for the rest of the time focus on their pet projects or fill their pension pots. No more can we allow carpetbaggers and con artists free rein.

I say this, any elected Scottish MSP or MP that is not marching on May 6th in Glasgow better have a damn good excuse! We elect and pay you to promote and achieve independence. We do not elect you to get males and their intact genitalia into women’s safe spaces. We do not vote you in so you can put on British Army fatigues and play at being British soldiers for the day. We do not give you the honour of representing our cause for you to go to Kiev and spout British Foreign Policy!

You all have one job and one job only! It is time you all began to remember that. We put you in, and we can take you out! Whoever is the new leader of the SNP they better learn to start listening to the members and voters. Remember what the Scottish electorate did to the once mighty Labour Party, don’t kid yourself on, it can happen to you too!

We have to wait until a Holyrood Election to give our judgement to the Greens. Till then remind everyone you know about the treacherous, dishonest and blackmailing shysters that are the Scottish Greens.

Lastly, to AUOB I say this, remind them what the A stands for in your title. They do not get to decide who can and who cannot support, march or speak for Scottish independence!

Personally being a Barrhead boy, I would just tell them to #### off!

  • Are you doing the legal challenge that you mentioned on ‘Prism’ , Roddy, or are you not? Time is running out and you haven’t mentioned it since.

  • The SNP are Scotland jailers, I honestly could pull me hair out with the SNP and the Greens and there willingness to mention Independence but never want to do anything about it. Both these parties have used Independence has a means to further their own agenda as well as certain individuals making money out of pretending to want Independence and aren’t even bothered if it never happens.

The likes of Munguin’s new republic says he supports Independence then says good by Nicola thanks for all you’ve done, instead he should be saying good riddance and look at the mess you’ve left behind.

    https://munguin.wordpress.com/2023/03/23/bye-nicola/

    • When you ask these Nicola sycophants to list the practical things she has done to advance the cause since Nov 2014 they cannot name a single thing but still worship her, it is truly bizarre,

  • Wow, BB, tell it like it is, why don’t you? Spot on with the Greens. They used the SNP to further their own agenda, as did all the other wokies/’trans’. None of them was ever interested in independence. They saw a successful party in the ascendancy – which it was even though we lost in 2014 – and decided to use it as the vehicle for their own purposes. If the SNP survives all this, I hope it will be more careful about inviting in parasites who care little to nothing about Scotland and her future as an independent nation state. Perhaps all this pain will be worth it in the end.

  • The dream of Independence it was ours for the taken after 2014. Sturgeon said she’d wished she could have delivered Independence this wasn’t a genuine comment she was mocking Scotland. After 2014 we had an army who were prepared to stand and win Independence for Scotland, Sturgeon decided that the only person in Scotland more important than Independence was her, she wasn’t loyal to Scotland, her husband or even her party and certainly not to LGBT+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

  • The Greens have just stated that they will leave government if GRRB S35 not challenged. Excellent news! If they do challenge, I can guarantee that every sane female in Scotland will take to the streets. We have had enough of their bullying, totalitarian tactics and hatred. If the new leader is blackmailed into a legal challenge, and wasting more public funds, they will not know what has hit them. Whoever is elected should take this opportunity to cleanse the stables or this nightmare will come back to haunt the SNP and bring it down completely. Greens basically saying: let us carry on mutilating children; let us place dangerous men in with women and girls; and let us continue to diffuse anti science propaganda that has no evidence whatsoever to support it. Self-ID will destroy our society because this is not about ‘gender rights’ (they have them all already), but about control of women and children and bending them to the agenda that lies behind the sex and porn-driven men – the American corporate billionaires who are on the hunt again for more wealth-creation to benefit only them, and destroy the planet as they go about it. The Greens? Irony, indeed.

    • Lorna, I would also hope that every sane man would take to the streets if this madness carries on. This has taken on a worldwide dimension. My best friends grandaughter in New Zealand, a young teenager is now wanting surgery.

      • Indeed, ABruce. I listened, the other day, to a father tell his story about his daughter who got the full treatment, and he was heartbroken. Utterly broken, with his marriage in danger, too, although his wife was also of the same mind. It was the stress and strain on them that was destroying them. I’m pretty sure that this young girl will come to regret what she has done to herself and she will, perhaps, come to understand, also, what she has done to her loving parents.

The butchers who carry out these surgeries on children and young people need to be jailed. They are following in the footsteps of Dr Mengele with experimental surgeries that are totally unnecessary. Yes, I absolutely agree that fathers and grandfathers, uncles and male cousins, brothers and so on, are just as devastated as the female relatives, and, of course, when it is a young boy who has his penis amputated, and a fake vagina fashioned, it is every bit as horrible as when a young girl has her healthy breasts removed and has a fake penis, fashioned from flesh from her arm or thigh, sewn on to her crotch.

The utter tragedy is that most of these youngsters – well over 80% – will come through the dysphoria; some, probably most, will be homosexual/lesbian; and others will be straight; a very few will still opt for surgery, but they will comprise a minuscule number. This is what would have happened before this social contagion infected our young people, and we have to protect them and accept them for who they are without their having to go down the path of ‘transitioning’ to something they can never be, and to lifelong medical ill-health.

Those who have come through pelvic cancers – both men and women – are almost always left with middling to severe medical conditions affecting bladder and bowels, as these are traumatised (unavoidably) during life-saving surgery and chemo and radium treatments. It will be no different for these young girls and boys. It really is a preventable and pointless tragedy in the full sense of that word. They will be left without any functioning sexuality, and will be sterile, either from surgery or the hormones. It makes me weep to think of it.

  • Dearie dearie me. It would seem wee Roddy the Republican finds himself at loggerheads with Sara Salyers and Iain Lawson over The Crown of Scotland!
Salyers warns republicans to be careful what they wish for.
Maybe this explains why Monarchist Iain doesnt appear on your Sunday girn ony mair…lol

    • Well Seer, you obviously have not read the article on “The Crown of Scotland” if you think that it refers to the monarch. It does not. Go and read it properly.

      • Well Mr Bush, let me assure you I have read the article on the Crown of Scotland and may I suggest YOU revisit my comment.Nowhere have I stated that I think it relates to the monarch for indeed as you have stated..it does not.

      • ” I never read them or make comments on other blogger’s work…….”
        Really?
Then what evidence formed your opinion that James Kelly’s work is ‘stupid?’
        Anecdotal?…

        • Oh dear it seems you cannot read or understand plain English. I am surprised then you can form opinions or are you one of the cultees that is told what to think? Go and read again what I wrote or perhaps get an adult to read it for you and explain the content of the simple sentence.

          • Oh come on Roddy..dont be so touchy. I’ll have another go and this time try and answer the question.
Why is James stupid in your opinion?

          • Its more like of course you just are incapable of saying why You describe James Kelly’w Blog as “Stupid” just saying you never comment or explain why you think so is nothing but a cop out from an auld pretender who doesn’t have any real knowledge to be able to do so himself. Poor Roddy Busted. LOL LOL LOL. Harry.

  • These supposedly pro independence politicians have taken pro independence voters for granted for years now. You can almost hear them chuckling, “Well who else are the suckers going to vote for?” But their deliberate inaction on independence, and their pursuit of personal gain, they are daring pro independence voters to either abstain on voting [“Oh, but you’ll be letting the unionists in, so you might as well continue voting for us, however useless we are”] or commit fully, and only, to Alba.

It’s Alba for me from now on, and if there’s no Alba candidate I’ll abstain. With a wee message for Alba too: you’d better be radical, you’d better be fearless, and you’d better be ready to copy Sinn Fein’s policy of not sending their elected representatives to britnat Westminster.

    • I agree that there is no point in having ALBA be SNP Mark II. It has to be very radical and different, but still willing to unify for the great good – but not with the parasitical elements that have infested the SNP lately. The Greens’ influence must be eradicated from the SNP, as well as the woke/’trans’ element within the SNP ranks. If not, voting SNP would be voting for the same to happen again, under a new leader.

    • “you’d better be ready to copy Sinn Fein’s policy of not sending their elected representatives to britnat Westminster.”
People that choose to Vote for any party potential MP expect them to go to WM and take on the UK Gov not run away and hide in the rural backwaters, anyone who can’t make an coherent argument for Indy at WM against the big team are wasting their time standing for election. Staying at home and doing bugger all is absolutely pointless. Alba MP’s at WM is what i want to see , seems you want them to hide though.

      • Harry: the Sinn Fein MPs do not hide. They continue to do invaluable work on behalf of their constituents, and they also push for a United Ireland, helping out across the border, during election times, and vice versa when NI elections are held. Just how much pushing towards independence have the MPs – apart from a number of honourable exceptions – done in Westminster? Did they achieve a special trade border with the EU for Scotland as the NI Sinn Fein MPs helped to create after the party leader had stated quite categorically that Scotland would not be taken out of the EU against our will? No movement towards independence has been made in over eight years.

  • Let’s just stop focusing on the irrelevant greens and their wokerati buddies, the flea on the tail is not wagging this dog!

  • Point of order: I actually quite like the DRS system and think a lot it’s opponents are misguided and/or nitpicking. Tha innes and gunn guy is at it. I think its being used as a means to attack the govt rather than an issue in isolation.

I’d prefer if the Greens got on with that kind of thing and got out of social engineering.

    • DRS should work Ross, I’d agree. But excellent ideas can be implemented really badly, and poor implementation is something of a feature of the current SNP/Green government.

  • I can see the liars, charlatans and criminals in government (and those that have recently resigned) getting served some “French Toast” for their repeated crimes against a, now desperate people. They must not be seen to profit from their crimes. You reap what you sow!

  • Totally agree with every word Roddy, the Greens are charlatans, and they are the ones who alsomade sure that west coast fishermen jobs are at risk, an industry that was massively pro remain, and pro yes during the Brexit and Indyref when the Greens decided they wanted to make sure HPMAs are introduced into Scottish waters via the Bute House agreement.
Kate Forbes is the first and only candidate to come out against this legislation,it will hammer the fishermen from Kintyre north, getting progressively worse the further you go, not only will the creel industry be at risk, so to will hand dived scallops, charter boat sea angling, fishing off of the rocks, kelp harvesting, tour boat operators, the crofter with a 16footOrkney longliner used for catching a few mackerel with his fishing rod or handling for his dinner, in fact boats might even have to avoid sea lochs that are inside this High Protected Marine Area, which the stipulation for 10% of Scottish waters to be covered, this doesn’t include the 34% of Scottish waters already protected by Marine Protected Areas and Special Areas of Conservation which already restrict fishing methods.
Just imaging coming to Skye and and visiting The Three Chimneys, Sea Breezes or any of the restaurants and not being able to get locally caught langoustine, crab, lobster,Scallop or mussels, that have the lowest carbon footprint of any meal available, all caught or harvested sustainably usually that day, tourists visit the highlands not just for the scenert, but for the locally supplied restaurants providing truly world-class food, thanks Scottish Greens, you fucking wankers trading as independence supporters, you will be destroyed in 2026, when either Kate and Ash are leading the SNP, who will no longer need pedo enablers, but true parties of independence, Alba and the Independence for Scotland Party, and we will throw yo a massive fuck you Pervy Paddy

  • If my priorities were genuinely for the environment, first and foremost, I’d be demanding that the Green party focus on those issues, and would want to see it take a neutral stance on other issues, especially the constitution. But that’s the views of someone who would take an active interest in party matters. For many voters the word “green” is enough, and like the SNP with “independence” it becomes a word to mask the other stuff they are actually trying to sneak through in the background, Gender Reform being a notable example.
I have long regarded the Greens as the “soft underbelly” of the independence movement, a party which is susceptible to a complete about face on its constitutional position, if the opposition were smart enough, and I am genuinely surprised that there has not been a British Nationalist Green takeover attempted, or even a rival offshoot which focuses primarily on environmental issues. The Scottish Green Party is small enough that it could be changed from a pro-independence party to a neutral or even pro-UK party with little effort, although this would take time to do. An easier sell to genuine green voters would be a new party, free of the baggage which Mr Harvie & Co bring with them. One only has to look at the effect that a “fake” Green Party had on their vote at the last council elections to see what an easy target they are.
For those independence supporters who still see them as an independence party, their refusal to join a non-party/cross-party demo unless they approve of who else will share a platform with them must come as a final wake-up call. A rapid “rid-oot” of the main independence parties is long overdue, and quickly. If we lose Holyrood, we lose any chance of independence in the near future, slight as it may be. The SNP “might” be getting their act together. Will the Greens do likewise?

  • Well. If Mr humzat wins the FM post and goes to Charles coronation he is going to be very pissed off. The king is WHITE the consort is WHITE aw the hingers oan are WHITE the church people officiating are WHITE the ladies in waiting are WHITE. etc etc Es no gonae like it wan wee bit.

    • Like when Humza couldn’t jump the queue and force a place in the Broughty Ferry nursery his course of action was to false flag a sting set up and then cry racism against by the well respected nursery due to him being an Asian.

And then, absolutely coincidentally of course, for no apparent reason the Scottish government inspection agency then moved in to crawl all over the nursery.

And his court action, initiated and represented by another Asian lawyer in a fanfare of righteous indignation against his race? Well that was later dropped by him when presumably the merits of his vexatious litigation and the potential for adverse exposure of his underhand false flag sting were explained to him.

And this is just one example of the guy who wants to be leader and First Minister.

      • Humza does not understand that the Scots are an ethnic minority, in the UK, and an oppressed ethnic minority too. Scots language speakers have been made a linguistic minority in Scotland, primarily because our oppressive colonial regime refuses to teach the language, which is a human right.

Humza also does not know that an independence movement is dependent on the solidarity of the oppressed ethnic group, in our case primarily Scots language speakers. He is also unaware that peoples in self-determination conflict are linguistically divided.

As Fanon said, the understanding of the national party elite remains ‘rudimentary’ largely because they have never bothered to undertake ‘a reasoned study of colonialism’ – in their rush to seek a compromise (i.e. continuity) with it.

        https://salvo-cor.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/THEORETICAL+CASE+FOR+SCOTTISH+INDEPENDENCE.pdf

  • Immediately after the last election for Westminster’s Devolved Administration, as many others did at the time, I forecast a disaster-in-waiting as soon as the SNP were forced into a coalition government with the Greens.

I know that’s easy to say now, but I send information to a few independence-minded Scots in the diaspora and the first of 3 pages told the story. I called it “Green Party v Scottish National Party”. Perhaps I should instead have called it “Green Party v Independence”.

It highlighted figures that we know so well now.

    Green Party: Constituency votes 34,990 – MSPs = 0
    Green Party: Regional votes 220,324 – MSPs = 8

Scottish National Party: Constituency votes: 1,291,204 – MSPs = 62
Scottish National Party: Regional Votes: 1,094,374 – MSPs = 2

As the Greens did not elect an MSP from the Constituencies, I will compare the Regional votes,

On average, it took just 27,541 votes to elect a Green Party MSP.

On average, it took 547,187 to elect a Scottish National Party MSP.

Of course, that was the result of the SNP1 / SNP1 nonsense that elected so many unionist to the Devolved Administration at Holyrood.

I went on to say that the Green Party would create havoc out of all proportion to their popularity at the polls. With a total number of votes cast for both Constituency and Regional MSPs for the Green Party, being 255,314 and just 4.17% off votes, they managed to get Ministers and exert unwanted influence on the Scottish Government and I don’t need to go on about what a disaster it has been, and will continue to be, for the Yes Movement.

  • Scottish greens have announced that they will support a ‘progressive’ first minister.
I wonder if that includes Freeports??
