In 65 days time the U.K. will be leaving the EU.
We have a PM and a ‘Leader’ of the Opposition both hell bent on exiting on March 29th no matter the chaos it brings.
Maybot has stuck rigidly to her red lines exit, even after her humiliating defeat in the chamber.
I am sure like me many of you are wondering what exactly Teresa May is trying to achieve by returning to Brussels and Westminster with the exact same plan and red lines.
There is no room for compromise with Anglo-Brits it has to be their way or the highway.
When she talked of reaching out to other parties, she, of course, meant they had to fall into line with her unpalatable WA.
On Monday she is telling the Commons she will give much greater say in Brexit going forward to the devolved administrations.
By Wednesday her government flunky is too busy to speak with the devolved Nations representatives.
Throughout their history the Brits have always managed to achieve their selfish way.
This is exactly why the U.K. in the EU was always destined to end in this shambolic departure.
Back in the late 1960s early 1970s Gen Charles de Gaulle was implacable in his opposition in allowing UK entrance into the then Common Market.
He warned his fellow CM leaders that UK would never fully integrate and would be disruptive to the cohesion of the European Project.
Therefore every single time the U.K. made overtures to join the club, France said “Non!”
He was correct!
Here on the eve of our departure I watched the press conference by Chancellor Merkel and President Macron.
They have signed a new Franco-German Accord on ever closer co-operation between the two nations as well as with the other 25 members of the EU.
In her remarks Angela Merkel using all her diplomatic skills suggested that UK’s participation in EU had been at best ‘patchy.’
That is a very polite way of saying ‘UK was a royal pain in the arse throughout its tenure in EU.’
She reminded everyone the UK had excluded itself from the Eurozone, Schengin the very idea of a EU wide Defence Force or any talk of closer union immediately sent the Little Englanders into apoplexy.
Angela reminded everyone that all London has ever been interested in was trade and making money out of the EU.
What also came across is that the major players in the EU are past trying to appease the awkward one dimensional Anglo-Brits.
The Brits have had zero interest in making the lives and well being of the citizens of Europe better, let alone the subjects of the UK.
This is not something that will surprise anyone living in the UK.
We notice this in everything associated with Westminster and the Anglo-Brits.
To understand any Westminster policy or narrative, it is always best to ‘follow the money.’
Our Social Security, Pensions, Healthcare, are some of the worst in the developed world.
The Neo-Cons at Westminster see these as a drain on the private sector and rich individuals.
The only projects that interest them are the ones that will yield a profit and a dividend for shareholders.
Both Labour and Tory Parties are equally guilty on this.
The Liberals in their prop up the Tories time were equally as complicit.
Social Policies are never seen as investments in a more cohesive, fairer society, only as a burden on the Treasury.
However if you need to improve the infrastructure of London and the south east so the city spivs can have more of the national pie, no problem.
Crossrail, HS2, Jubilee Line, Docklands Railway, London Sewers,a new Heathrow Runway the money can always be found for these projects.
The usual method is the tax payer funds it and then Private “favoured” companies get to run and keep the profits.
Should any of these projects run into financial problems during the construction phase the tax payer bail them out.
Any profits after that are kept by the corporations and rich individuals.
This money is then used in a tax avoidance scheme and moved off-shore.
Every other day we hear of some other large organisation finding a way to avoid Corporation Tax.
When they were campaigning to leave the EU it was a monetary banner they attached to the side of the bus.
There was nothing regarding improving the lives of the weaker in our society.
When talking about leaving they always complain about the £39 billion.
They have implied quite deliberately that this is some sort of penalty being imposed on U.K. for leaving EU.
This money is of course to pay for projects, pensions and commitments our government have signed up to while in EU.
It is like taking a fortnight all-inclusive at Gleneagles then being aghast when the hotel hand you the bill for your stay as you are checking out on the day of departure.
Their only lines of attack in trying to stem the tide of Scottish secession from the UK are monetary arguments.
Every single day and every single attack on Scotland are that Independence is a bad idea because of the cost.
The phrase ‘they know the cost of everything and the value of nothing’ was penned for Anglo-Brit Unionists.
This is one of the main reasons that will ensure this time that Brits will lose heavily.
In 2014 their lies were all about making Scotland better in the union.
“Near Federalism as could be imagined” ,”leads us don’t leave us.”
“The only way to guarantee your place in the EU is to Vote No!”
The lies have just piled up and now they are coming back to haunt them.
I am of the opinion that in a very short time our SNP Government will announce they have run out of patience.
This goes beyond just Brexit, the Power Grab, taking our legislature to court, EVEL.
The list goes on and on.
We shall in one fashion or another be on a campaign footing.
I like most everyone else am unaware how exactly our government intend exiting the British Union.
I do know they will be exiting and however that is to be achieved all of us that desire self-determination need to be ready.
“Whatever it takes” must be our motto.
Till the campaigning begins in earnest let us all stay focussed and united.
The SNP have brought us this close let us give them our 100% loyalty in this the end game of the Union.
The clock is ticking……

Excellent article.
I can’t find anything of any consequence that’s been missed – it’s a superb snapshot of how we got here and what’s about to happen.
The anti-independence rhetoric is ramping up. This must be a Royal pain in the rear end for the Establishment as they try to push through their ultimate goal of a “no deal Brexit”, yet tread water long enough to blame the opposition for failing to deliver a credible alternative – so the default No Deal will emerge.
It’s the classic “cake and eat it” scenario, so loved by the self-serving elitists in Whitehall.
Scottish independence doesn’t feature in this scenario – that’s dismissed as “dealt with” because of the No vote in 2014.
The last thing they want to come to the fore is a blow by blow account of how they stole the vote by propaganda, smears and scare tactics. That particular achievement of “cake and eat it” (and that’s what it amounts to since they convinced the Scots to sell out their independence and volunteer their resources to the control of the establishment) is about to cause them some severe heartburn – painfully refluxing every time they are out-manouvered by Nicola Sturgeon, Mike Russell, Ian Blackford, Joanna Cherry, and a long, long list of extremely talented Politicians and commentators.
The end game is in sight.
They are drowning in conflict from the fragmented Tory party, the idiotic opposition and their loony-tunes pursuit of mythical deals and concessions that will never happen, the sudden panic about the consequences of that default “No Deal Brexit”, the lack of trade deals in place post Brexit, the WTO model that will kick in on the exit from the EU, the on-going haemorrhage of services and businesses to the continent – and to top it all, the jewel in the UK Crown (Scotland) has the audacity to re-open the independence can of worms.
Post Brexit, the UK becomes “Billy no mates”.
To survive, Scotland and her resources will be required to fund the horrendous black hole in the UK finances.
Once the penny has dropped, they won’t let us scamper off without a serious fight.
However, if we make our move BEFORE the UK leaves the EU, we will still have the full protection of the EU courts – that would put their gas at a peep (for a short time at least).
So, it’s game on.
Let’s get this done – “Whatever it takes”.
Excellent analysis and comment. This is exactly what the selfish Britnats are about. We in Scotland have a choice to split from this union which we are not a partner in
Most who have Scottish heritage or adopted it do not think like the Britnats. We are for each other, community and country. Time to leave so let’s dissolve this rotten to the core union, and journey forward with heads up high.
Prior to the 2014 Independence Referendum I was “unaware”. I’m still ashamed to admit I was being spoonfed with propaganda by the MSM and I was too blind to realise.
Talking to friends in my age group (70 ish) there are many now who belatedly see this and will vote Yes in a new referendum. If not for themselves, for their children and g’children.
Enough I hope to take us over the line, and it will be thanks to articles/posts like this from Roddy and others… Craig Murray, Stuart Campbell, David Hooks and many more.
I thank you for that I am flattered to even be mentioned in such exalted company as you cite here.
Why are we waiting? Indy2 should have been announced weeks ago. Great article but I despair of this pointless waiting for the right conditions, the right conditions have been here for months yet we wait & wait……for what??
