In mid-July Elon Musk revealed that the European Commission offered his X platform an “illegal secret deal” to “quietly” censor speech after the commission accused it of breaching EU digital laws.

“The other platforms accepted that deal. X did not,” he said.”We look forward to a very public battle in court, so that the people of Europe can know the truth,” Musk wrote later.
So it should not come as any surprise that recently many establishment figures and bots in UK and US have been accusing Musk and his platform of being hate filled and being instrumental in the recent riots in England.
Ever since the advent of the Internet in the late 1990s the establishment and our rulers along with their puppets in our parliaments have been trying to find ways to censor and close down the exchange of information on the web. We are meant to listen only, not speak,not question.
Prior to Internet the ‘Man’ had total control of the narrative. He could and did tell us anything they wanted. They hid the elites indiscretions and the crimes of our political leaders, bankers, financiers and royals. Jimmy Saville anyone? Any financial scandals in the ‘city’ were never mentioned let alone investigated.
They only allowed stories that protected the status quo, nothing that could bring into question our governance.If Stu Campbell at Wings had not investigated SNP and the £633,000 we would be none the wiser. We can see how they have mishandled the criminal investigation ever since. Why did it take an independent journalist to uncover such a story?
Similarly, with the Salmond trial if we had not had the Internet, all we would have known would have been the salacious bits the MSM tried to feed us. It is also why Craig Murray was made to pay a high price. He exposed the corruption of our media and justice system. The perjurers still have 100% protection. Craig went to jail for telling the truth, that is the reality!
Hence, prior to Internet we did not know about McRone. The question is what else was hidden from us? When we did see an article in the newspaper or heard a story on the radio or televsion that we knew to be false or only half the story our only recourse was a letter to the newspapers.Rarely if ever did any letter that contradicted the narrative of the establishment ever get printed.
We were fed a pack of lies like, Donald Dewar was the Father of the Nation. John Smith was the best Prime Minister we never had! Both fabricated pieces of propaganda to promote the status quo.Both were nothing more than House Jocks that gave 100% of their loyalty to a neighbouring country, not their nation of birth. They were just modern ones that Rabbie referred to as ‘bought and sold for English gold.’ You can apply that today to ever single, MP from Scotland that is sitting in Westminster!
We were told that history graduate Gordon Brown a son of the manse was not only a brilliant financial brain but a devout Christian and loyal Scot. Yet when he finally left front-line politics, he left behind chaos and the nations finances in near bankruptcy.

Our newspaper writers (never journalists) are held up as 100% honest geniuses and pulitzer prize standard journalists. The truth is the majority are bought and paid for scribes of the English imperialist establishment. They are nothing more than sell out merchants with a few exceptions.
The tactics of our English imperial masters are the same now as they were in the Empire days. Buy some local spineless locals and pretend to give them a superior status to the proletariat. Give them minimal governing rights. Then have their placemen and women in the local politics, media, the civil service all with limited powers. Make sure there is a glass ceiling and always ensure that ultimate control is in England, hence why we have a Secretary of State for Scotland. Ever wonder why England does not have such a position?
Give the plebs the local media and broadcasting with minimal editorial control and keep the masses cowed. Make the ‘real’ jobs with real status working in Mother England. Keep the colonies and the Jocks, Taffies and Paddies in their place. Every so often pluck one of their number and give them big boy status in London to let the natives believe they are treated equally.
When these ‘trusted’ voices write or say independence is bad, Westminster is benign and good, many of the masses believe them. The same press and media this week will attempt to use the GERS lies as a truth. They will lie to our faces without a trace of conscience. They will in their own minds justify the lying because Mother England must continue to rule Scotland so they can maintain their perceived superior status! They have convinced themselves that the lies are in fact true. They really despise their fellow Scots that refuse to believe the same lies. So today understand this, the same people who are telling you that Scotland is too poor and too stupid to be independent,are the same ones telling you there is no Genocide in Palestine. After fifty plus years of being an active ‘leftie’ I am still baffled by the overwhelming success of the ideological incorporation of the large majority into supporting or accepting the interests of a greedy, parasite minority.
Just this week, in the street corner conversation after our local YES meeting, a much younger activist ( in his forties) said roughly ‘ You and I and a few others can see it but what I can’t understand is why so few do’.
Our chat then ranged over the standard list of methods of control and we ended up back at the same question – why does it work so well ?

The likes of Smith and Dewar were, and Brown is, fully paid up members of the British establishment. They wore, and wear, their prison officer uniforms proudly. More recently the likes of Sturgeon, Yousaf and Swinney are merely permitted to act as Prison Trustees, keeping their fellow inmates down and deprived as they serve their masters’ purpose in Scotland. Scumbags one and all!
With respect to the Twitter/X contrived ‘controversy’ it is no surprise to see The Redactor Man siding taking against Musk and his platform, albeit on the latter’s spat with Yousaf on a different if related incident. Swinney’s accusations of ‘reprehensible behaviour’ on the part of Musk – who asserted that Yousaf’s ‘White’ speech of 2020 in the Scottish Parliament was “super racist” – are clearly designed to discredit X, the platform’s owner and ultimately to get its wings clipped if not closed down.
Censorship is Dishonest John’s default position, if the amount of delays, deletions and deferrals during the sitting of the Scottish Government Handling of Harassment Complaints committee in 2020-21 is anything to go by.
And why would our current (and unelected) FM not muzzling X?

I had a whole story written out then decided to remove it and just say that I agree with most of what you say, but one thing we surely all know by now, if our votes could actually change anything they wouldn’t allow us to vote. yep we really do need a revolution, will we see one? I doubt it.

In theory nothing, ben. Scotland has all the historical, cultural and sporting ingredients ready to be mixed together whenever a chef [or brigade of chefs] emerges. Ireland had men and women who were not feart of breaking Westminster rules and laws. We have none, as yet. We’re all looking at the menu waiting for someone to order first. Easy for me to say of course. I’m as guilty as anyone for hesitating before breaking the eggs. As you know Ireland has had a longer, more consistent, more aggressive history of fighting for its freedom from English rule. Scotland, since 1707, has only had sporadic attempts at regaining its independence.
Scotland still has its Scottish Cringe. As far as I know there’s never been a Irish Cringe.
The Irish cringe existed Doug. Back in the day, before 1916, the GAA and Gaelic League were the first steps on the path to overcoming it.
It has really only been overcome lately as the irish Republic has prospered and moved out of England’s shadow to take it’s place among the nations of Europe.
I suppose what I am saying is the Scottish Independence Movement has to make a real start,by knitting together the strands of culture, sport and history, colonial exploitation etc and focussing them on one objective – Independence.
Don’t wait for the appearance out of the blue of chieftains or chefs de brigade. Each Scot has a part to play, however small.Each Scot needs to play his/her role using whatever is at hand as props.
