Through A Scottish Prism 28/05/23

FROM NOON SUNDAY.

I am joined by my usual crew, Eva Comrie, Phil Boswell and Yvonne Ridley. We review the week’s political happenings and controversies.

This week we discuss the recent opinion poll showing independence at 53%. In the same poll the SNP are sitting on 41%. We discuss the missing 12% and ask do the SNP care?

The SNP ‘Special’ Conference why did they choose the same weekend as AUOB Bannockburn March? Why is the first National Council meeting in years on the same weekend as Skye AUOB?

Scotland United or every party for itself?

SNP say they will only deal with Labour in the event of a hung parliament, good or vad strategy?

Margaret Ferrier’s suspension from Westminster vote halted, why and who halted it?

North Lanarkshire Progressive Change Party who are they and why this new party?

Chief Constable Livingstone states that Police Scotland is, institutionally racist, sexist and discriminatory. We ask is this true and if so who is responsible?

This and much more on your weekly Scottish politics review show.

  • Regards Livingston, a man with a few questionable relationships with female officers resulting in demotion and inquires, a man that Sturgeon claimed was the best man for the job and appointed him Chief Constable, they then attack Alex Salmond for unfounded allegations. How hypocritical is Sturgeon. Because of Livingstons history and Sturgeons ideology why would she ever consider him suitable. Why was he not targeted during the “MeeToo” purge? This for me confirms that Alex Salmond was a political target as he was a threat to Sturgeons criminal administration, the gravy train and Westminster.

  • Has anyone on Prism been tasked with collating a glossary of the expressions voiced?

“A village in Scotland has lost it’s idiot.”

“When he was born his mammy should have been slapped”.

As a picture paints a thousand words, a well expressed phrase clarifies thinking.

  • You referred to the Alba party being hacked as described by another podcaster.

I think I know who you refer to and as I understand it he was talking about liberation.scot being hacked and losing 70,000 signatories to their Edinburgh Proclamation.

Are you able to clarify if it was Alba or Salvo / liberation.scot you were taling about?

    • The person in wresting said Alba and the other org. It is a nonsense as I said the Alba website has not been cloned ir breached. It was a non story , Same as the missing 75,000 all pure fantasy.
