Great discussion folks an A’m stairtin tae yearn for a Scots Language Channel wi aw oor discussions in Scots, bringin oor cultur tae the fore, nae langer a ‘clandestine culture’. And Iain Cameron is deid richt, our transport infrastructure is third world, which figures, because under colonialism the nation and most of its people will remain under-developed. Prestwick was always potentially an excellent European aviation hub, but Westminster blocked scheduled Transatlantic flights there, pushing the business south to London; one of many colonial blockages on development of our nation.

As Frantz Fanon said about a people who are getting closer to independence/ liberation: “suddenly the language of the ruling power is felt to burn your lips.” And this from Albert Memmi: “In recovering his autonomous and separate destiny, he (i.e. the native people) immediately goes back to his own tongue. To this self-discovery movement of an entire people must be returned the most appropriate tool: that which finds the shortest path to its soul, because it comes directly from it.”
