Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Ocean Colour Scene - So Low

Through A Scottish Prism 18/06/23

FROM NOON SUNDAY.

My panel this week Eva Comrie, Yvonne Ridley and Phil Boswell.

Another packed week of political shenanigans in Scotland. We discuss the Sturgeon arrest in detail being careful not to cross any contempt laws. We ask if sending flowers to a suspect in a huge fraud case is either wise or appropriate. Likewise Humza Yousaf’s ultimatum to SNP MPs, MSPs and members, back Sturgeon or quit good leadership or complete and utter idiocy? The panel gives their opinion.

Humza suggests that Nicola is still a huge SNP asset does the Bellshill result confirm or destroy this latest outpouring by Mr Continuity. Should Ms Sturgeon have put the party first and resigned by her own volition? In any event should Humza have taken that decision out of her hands instead of sending her flowers and blowing smoke up her ass?

We discuss the spin that as the police inquiry is expensive should we just forget about the missing £633,000? We ask should the police now do a cost analysis before investigating any crime?

Humza this week said he would never do any kind of deal with the Tories at Westminster. He also said he would like a deal with Labour to obtain a Section 30. Is it wise giving away your negotiating stance before a vote is cast or just another example of his inadequacy for the role of leader? Has he allowed himself any wriggle room?

HMPA is going the sane way as the Green inspired DRS and GRRB is it time to dump all these ridiculous policies and the Greens?

Alistair Jack wants Scottish elected members sanctioned if they ever discuss Scottish independence with overseas politicians. Is this colonialism on steroids? The panel gives some advice to Mr Jack, some that might just be anatomically impossible! Perhaps he was in a foul mood because his peerage was denied.

Talking of which with his new £3.8 million mansion bought for cash and a multi-million £ job with the Daily Mail for Boris Johnson does this suggest lying and criminality does indeed pay?

Kirsty Bkackman and her bizarre chromosome declaration at Westminster this week while wearing a bizarre dress showing the universe. We ask which planet is Kirsty’s?

All this and much more on your favourite Scottish weekly political review podcast.

  • Roddy (and panel) … Re Alister Jack and potential legislation limiting the activities of MPs and MSPs – you might find this post from elsewhere on social media interesting.

“The piece of paper you see in the photo is my official postal record of letters posted on Friday to 17 Members of the United Nations, each of whom found their way to gain their independence from the United Kingdom. The livestream I posted on Friday explains why the “Declaration of Sovereign Scots” initiative may prove to be Scotland’s way.”

(If interested, and the initiative continues to gain increasing participation from the Yes movement all aross Scotland – you will find the photo I mention and the livestream video (25 mins) via this link:)
