From Noon Sunday, my guests are Eva Comrie, Phil Boswell and Tommy Sheridan. We discuss all the topics of the week. We begin with the great news that YESTIVAL is 100% guaranteed to go ahead next week in Glasgow. Through A Scottish Prism will be there and our show will be beamed live from the square from 10.am onwards. Come and say hi!
We discuss the passing of Elizabeth, Queen of Scots also known as Elizabeth II.of England. What effect will this have on the union going forward? Was she the last piece of glue holding the entire corrupt union together?
In the same week we saw the back of the English PM that lied just once too often even for the corrupt Tory Party. We discuss his replacement the anti monarchy Pro referenda ex-Liberal Party member that is now an extreme right-wing neocon. She begins her short-term career by borrowing £ Billions to support the profits of the greedy, never been richer energy companies. We talk about the reactions to her Premiership by Nicola Sturgeon and by the Nationalist leader of Northern Ireland Michelle O’ Neil. One sent a pleading letter wanting to be besties, one demanding action on their democracy and expecting that to be adhered to immediately, not just listened to.
We also cover Suella Braverman’s promise to strike down any GRA Reform Bill of the SNP. Will Sturgeon fight for her Party’s raison d’etre or will she accept Westminster’s sovereignty over her ill thought out legislation? We did warn this could happen, as always Sturgeon did not listen.
Could this be the final straw to spur Sturgeon and the SNP into independence mode?
Tune in to find out what the panel thinks.
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
Please accept my appreciative thanks for yet another fine show, and you are from a steadily growing number of Scotland’s people who appreciate that our own population CAN fix Scotland’s biggest mistake in history! I’ve recently been posting: “Poblachail”/”Republican” ‼💓 🏴… With remarkably positive results; however, that’ll be a matter that awaits our nation regaining its independent place amongst this world of free nations… Saorsa: freedom, liberty and redemption!
Yet another excellent Prism. Swiss Banks in Geneva sponsoring the putrid greed and indulgence of the mega rich while we in the real world here in Scotland are daein’ oor damnednest tae keep fowks heids from gaun under the waves o’ attrition created by corporate greed in which the Monarchy of this country has played more than a walk on role.
Food Banks in Scotland are struggling to fulfil need and not a sight of Sturgeon attempting to lead the fight (and fight it must become) to lead Scotland to Independence and prosperity that ALL of us might enjoy.
Let YESTIVAL be a Clarion Call to let Sturgeon and Westminster know that we are deadly serious in our demand to free our Scotland from the archaic structures of our Coloniser.
The Commonwealth?

Wow! A cracker, Roddy.
Nothing to disagree with. What Eva said at the end, though, or, rather, didn’t quite say, is that many women will be deterred from voting SNP as a direct result of the GRA reform proposed legislation. Not only will they be deterred from voting, but they will be deterred from even offering support to the SNP. Every female relative I have spoken to has said the same thing: “we do not want this self-ID to pass, and we will not support the SNP unless it drops it”.
Interestingly, I have listened to many recent video-casts and news items on the topic of the Scottish legislation, and whenever the mention of third spaces arises, the ‘trans’ representatives inevitably lose it and start to whine about bigotry and a lack of understanding. They do not want third spaces. Stonewall is awash with both public and private money and will not campaign for, or support financially, third spaces, although women, in the early days before the allocation of public funding actually kept their organisations afloat on collecting donations.
Now, they are expected to fund not just females but ‘trans women’, too, while Stonewall and its arms continue to drain public resources to fund seminars and literature to promote the mutilation of children and invade schools to propagandise, all backed by the SNP SG. Perhaps, Roddy, we could have a part-prism on the issue of the potential loss of the female vote which is absolutely essential for independence?
I agree with Phil, Eva and Tommy that, fundamentally, Nicola Sturgeon and her cohort do not support independence in any shape or form. If more people understood that, and that it is not a case of being bound hand and foot by British rules, but actually that they choose not to do anything at all to advance independence because their own agenda would be adversely affected by independence, we might see even more anger. Too many still believe in the delusion that independence is still the SNP raison d’être. It is not and has not been for a long time now because the SNP is no longer the SNP that we all knew. It has been hi-jacked by the front line doing the dirty work of obscenely wealthy American billionaires who see a killing to be made in the Scottish NHS, by the pharmaceutical industry and by high tech, the porn industry, et al. Tommy is spot on: it is all about money; and the SNP is now as neoliberal as the Tories, as neocon as the Republicans and as Unionist as the DUP.
Lorna, I think the reason they’re so committed to GRA reform is it’s an easy way to sow dissent, particularly amongst women voters (not to mention a significant chunk of males too), as you highlighted above.
In the unlikely event of us having another referendum under the SNP, that factor alone may be enough to lose that referendum, no doubt to cheers in the Sturgeon / Murrell household and the bars frequented by SNP MPs.in Westminster.
I think it is a complete fallacy, Gordon, to think that women behave any differently to men when in power. Everyone is viewed as a useful tool by politicians. Instead of seeing the ‘trans’ movement as poor defenceless souls with no rights when they have all the same rights as everyone else in Scotland, we should maybe look at what they are being used to do: a) to sow dissent, as you say; b) to soften up the NHS and other organisations for take over by neoliberal interests rooted in America, mainly.
Stonewall, backed by megabucks in America, has thrust its tentacles into every public institution in the UK, particularly in Scotland, and it needs the youth on board to perpetuate itself and to clear the path for even more neoliberalism and unfettered capitalism in the near future. Why else would psychopathic billionaires back this stuff and why would politicians kow tow to it? Money.
Women stand in the way of that, as, indeed, do most men, but women must be eliminated because they are the canaries in the mines. Queer theory and unfettered sexual appetite are the dangly carrot rewards for the eejits who form the vanguard and who are very dispensable. Life-long addiction to, and need for, medication and body sculpting, etc., are a dripping roast for the unscrupulous., not to mention opening doors to futuristic interference in human reproduction, another money-making scheme. Imagine if psychopathic billionaires could have non-humans who are exactly like humans to do all the work but who require no pay and need only an upgrade every couple of years? Fantasy? I wish. There is quite literally nothing that some people will not do to enhance their power and wealth – and their sense of their own supremacy and immortality.
Sorry, meant to add, Roddy: has anyone else noticed the use of ‘the Act of Union’ everywhere, even in The National? How many times does it require to be explained to people that the Acts of Union translated the primary legislation (the Treaty, founded in international law) into domestic law (the Acts, and secondary legislation)), making the Acts domestic British (Scottish and English) legislation? This is a massive trap. Secondary legislation cannot alter the nature of the primary legislation (i.e. the Acts cannot supersede the Treaty). We should not be fooled into using the Acts, as this plays right into the hands of Westminster and the British State who are desperate to make the Treaty appear to be a matter of domestic law in order to keep it, and us, corralled.

Best Prism Show I’ve seen to date. Some real fighting talk there and the prospect of some ACTION.
For once, I came away with spirits uplifted, gloom and despondency tucked into the background, with even a glimmer of hope for the future of Auld Scotia……..if the rest of Scotland…….. AND its diaspora……. pick up on this and run with it.
Deep feelings of respect and admiration for the ‘Proclaimers’, for not only sticking their necks out in support for independence but actually contributing money for the Yestival. I’ll support them evermore, and I hope the rest of Scotland does so too.
Weel done Barrhead Boy, Roddy Macleod, Tommy Sheridan and Eva Comrie.
There is no Scottish Diaspora. Scots over the centuries assimilate into where they land. They excel and get on with their lives. They do this all over the world. There are St Andrews Associations all over the world but they are not powerful. Its always been like this. We are not like the Irish who stick together and are all powerful. Especially in America but you are mistaken in calling out to the Scottish Diaspora. it ain’t there. Apart from that the blood and soil nationalists wont give them a vote.
It’s not a question of giving them a vote; it’s a question, Sandy, of harnessing them, particularly in America, to beat the drum for us in their (new) homes so that we have friends in the world who will speak up for us when the time comes. You are right: we are different from the Irish; but we can build relationships, cultural and language links with our own diaspora. Those links could be utilised to help disseminate information on the Scottish constitution, for example – not propaganda, but hard core information that is sadly missing. Just imagine if we were able to harness even a fraction of the skills and talent and entrepreneurial expertise that we have given the world and bring it home, what we could achieve. Unfortunately, the SNP leadership is simply not interested.
Just to let you know Lorna I am a Yoon with a capital Y. I do not want you to think I am hiding pretending to be a Nationalist. I have 10 yellow cards left so I will be as I always am and that is polite. The who can vote was set and agreed by AS and NS and signed. Lots of Nationalists are now not happy with who are voting. If there is another Indy vote this will once again be dealt with by whomever is in charge of UK Gov and Scot Gov. I have to add the next ref will not be as 1 sided as the last one where Cameron let Scot Gov run all over them. On the diaspora Lorna there is none. Its fantasy. We Scots are more than capable of looking after ourselves when we move. We assimilate , work hard and get on with our lives. we are confident in ourselves when we move. In America the Scots that move assimilate and the families they have instantly become Americans. They do not cling onto what they had back home. You are correct on the information that is missing. There is none. Sturgeon is reduced to trying the emotional case for Indy now. Avoiding the answers needed like the plague. To me when you see her she is a monetary illiterate dunce when asked hard questions which she does not get up here in Scotland. At the last election on costing , she was asked at the press conference how much this would cost. She turned round and said “I will speak to you after the meeting ” and sadly she got away with it. This is why Indy will fail. Sturgeons inability to answer the questions that will swing Indy. She has to answer them someday . Thanks for answering. I hope that does not get me a yellow card. lol Take care.
It’s not really necessary to assert your Yoonery with every post Sandy : we get it , you’re someone who thinks Scots are incapable of governing themselves and all the Big Decisions should be made by people elsewhere ; y’know , by geniuses like Johnson – now Truss , or when it’s time to let in Labour to attempt to mop-up the carnage left by successive Tory Govs – voted in by our enlightened southern neighbours – Charmless Starmer and the NeoLib/Con * Woke * Joke that is Nu Labour .
I don’t know why you insist on using the uselessness of Sturgeon as some kind of argument against Independence , again , WE KNOW !! I doubt a single reader of BB believes it will ever happen under her ( non ) leadership – or whatever creep is anointed to fill her tiny designer shoes upon her departure .
I think you’re also wrong about the potential support from US emigre Scots or those of Scottish heritage – the latter are the most numerous customers of Genealogy services and websites , and the occasions when I’ve met Americans holidaying in the Highlands keen – and , indeed proud to tell me of the Scots ancestry are innumerable .
It may be accurate to say Scots – tend – to integrate more comfortably in their adopted countries , but that doesn’t mean they abandon all affection for and interest in their native Scotland . I reckon there is massive , largely untapped , support for Independence in the USA . It will require someone with considerably more political/social skill than NS to * exploit * that potential though .
High quality Prism * guys *
For a start Robert I don’t assert my yoonery every post and I will decide if we can go it alone if I get answers to the questions that need to be asked. I am perfectly aware of what you and other BTL folk think. I read Ian Lawson, Robin McAlpine , Jonathon Shafi and others and they and here need commended for standing up to Sturgeon. Just the same as Labour. I was thrown out of the Labour main site for standing up for Corbyn. People in here and others recognise what’s happening. Its not just Sturgeon, even AS before her could not give me the answers so I am still No. No way I would vote indy on the flying of a flag. That is what they are reduced to. I followed the Sturgeon \ Salmond case closely and I am angry that people are pushing for Indy under a corrupt gov and you Robert played your part in voting for her earlier. It is up to the SNP to get rid of her. She will not get you Indy. Watching her over the last few days proves that. On the diaspora you will get nowhere. It does not exist. Of course they are proud to be Scots. Probably being away more prouder than usual but as we agree they do assimilate and do well. There is no Scots powerbase anywhere in the world to tap into. We do not and never have congregated together to form power bases. Too busy getting on improving their lives.
Should have added Phil Boswell too. The lack of ability to edit is a pain.
Thank you for your kind words they are much appreciated.
Resident yoon here. What I do not understand BB is why did all the Nationalists including Scot Gov not stand up and say ” We are not taking part in this”.? This was an opportunity I would say instead of waiting on a court decision or a section 30 to hold Indy. Passed a great opportunity. I was at the declaration in Midlothian today and the SNP administration to a person were all there kitted out in there best cloths and hair-doos singing and hip hipping their hearts out then going inside for a cup of tea. Half of the Labour Group in fact more than half never turned up. Missed a big chance there. All the clips of Sturgeon singing her heart out also.
Charles King of Scots swearing an oath to uphold the Claim of Right is tge beginning of the end of the Union. Never again can tge unionists or their House Jocks pooh pooh it away.
I don’t know how many times I’ve said, we should always put Scotland 1st 2nd and 3rd. Tommy Sheridan only stated through-a-Scottish-prism about a week ago, that the Yestival on the 18.09.22 wouldn’t be cancelled, which I fully supported. Now it’s been cancelled and is going to be held on 08.10.22 the same day as the Rangers match. Obviously, the putting Scotland 1st, 2nd and 3rd isn’t a priority for some! We’ve had over a week of pure brainwashing by the media and on something that matter to me has now been cancelled, when people would have arranged public transport on the guarantee given. It’s time to waken up and realise what our priorities are before it’s too late, for me Scotland its 1st 2nd and 3rd there wasn’t any reason to cancel this date. I’m sick to god of whatever England wants we give it to them and with bows attached. The World isn’t going to stop on the 18.09.22 just because the Queens is being buried the next day so why should Scotland? For those of us who don’t stay in Glasgow but in other parts of the Country it’s a massive upheaval and or cost. I’d say stop taking us for bloody granted.
I only noticed it was cancelled because I was on the Alba and then got it confirmed through Yours for Scotland.
Two things with police withdrawing permission it made all insurances void. This left the organisers wide open to massive personal damages if anyone had an injury or there was any damage to equipment or the square!
Secondly if you had been coming to this site you would have known within minutes of the announcenent!😜😜😜👍
