Today I am joined by Eva Comrie, Phil Boswell and Yvonne Ridley. We were also supposed to have the pleasure of the company of Daniel Jack sadly, the internet gremlins decided otherwise.
This week what else could we discuss except the arrest and fall of Peter Murrell? Remembering what the Scottish establishment did to Craig Murray we tried to ensure we did not say anything that would give them yet another show trial.
How have the events of this past week damaged the SNP and independence movement? Was the huge police presence and action all theatre? Are charges likely to follow?
We discuss the hiring of a white-collar crime lawyer specialist by the SNP. Is this for Murrell or are other members of staff and others from the Sturgeon regime implicated? How can Humza now be so critical of Peter Murrell and SNP governance when only 2 weeks ago he was telling us all how great both were and how he intended to keep Murrell as CEO?
The same I suppose as how he was going to attend AUOB in Glasgow on May 6th and not the English coronation. Now like a good little devolutionist Jockobrit he will be attending the coronation and boycotting a Scottish independence gathering. It is fortunate so early into his tenure we already know where his priorities lie.

Under the circumstances of the police action, should Ms Sturgeon and Peter Murrell be suspended by the party? They were quick to suspend Michelle Thomson and Margaret Ferrier for much less. Should the SNP NEC be suspended?

Yes, BB, definitely the arrivistes who have caused most of the problems, but many of those who did come in after 2014 were genuine about wanting independence. By early 2015, it was obvious that the ‘woke’ element had no sense of history of the party – and, generally, no sense of history at all, or they would not have gone for cultural Marxism over Marxism proper. They were intent on taking over and infiltrating the whole party structure. This owed little, I think, to Westminster, and more to Stonewall and the Denton’s Document. It is too easy to blame Westminster for all our ills, albeit they are certainly culpable for much of our sorry state, but this, I believe, was a self-inflicted wound.
The SNP needs to die now, not recover because it cannot recover to become its old self. That is gone for good. In pre 1918 Ireland, the same choices were faced by the Irish: let the old, corrupt party go and embrace the new era with a new party. I’m not advocating armed conflict by any means. However, we still have the same choices to make, and, hopefully, we will make them soundly. I believe that things will start to happen very quickly now, as the old order collapses.
As for the sex case, recent figures show that slightly over 3% of reports are brought to fruition and sentence handed down. That is appalling for such a serious crime, and it may be that we need to look at treating sex cases differently from other crimes in that it is a ‘private crime’ where corroborative evidence is extremely hard to find. Perhaps establish special courts to deal solely with sex crimes and have an inquisitorial instead of an adversarial set-up, otherwise we are in danger of simply decriminalising rape and serious sexual assaults, and, yet again, females are pushed aside by the legal system? I think that Eva is right about the new guidelines, although there do appear to be problems with judges interpreting them very leniently.
Without rehabilitation built into the system, retribution becomes paramount, so we need to think hard about what it is that we are trying to achieve. Young sex offenders need to be brought to understand what they have done and how it affects the victim, while the victim needs support and understanding of her ordeal. Too many young and not-so-young men have little understanding of what they have put their victim through, although a prison sentence will very quickly afford them first-hand knowledge in a number of cases, and male rape in prison is no more to be condoned than female rape outside prison.
R.I.P. SNP. Onwards and upwards ALBA, the ISP and all the other genuine believers in Independence.

May I pick up on an issue Eva raised about international reationships- this is a post I have just made eleswhere on social media (minus the photo – which is of me with a Yes flag at the UN second HQ in Geneva).

The Declaration of a Sovereign Scot” initiative … its about the Stages that I often mention.
My first letter to the United Nations was on the 6th of April 2021.
That date was deliberately chosen to recognise the importance of the Declaration of Arbroath. It is also something UNESCO also recognise as important – so important they awarded it the title a “Memory of the World”.
Question #1: How will we – we who call ourselves “YES” – be remembered? Will we be remembered at all? If so, for what? Independence?
Answer to Question #1: Each person who signs their individual Declaration will have it lodged at the HQ of the UN, with a copy being retained to eventually be collated into one document and be available for all future generations to view.
What difference might that make? Well, what permanent legacy were all Sovereign Scots left from the Declaration of Arbroath and the Claim of Right. Have we – we who are YES – forgotten their importance? See Question #2.

PART answer to Question #2: Scotland will regain its independence when Sovereign Scots, no longer simply talk of their Sovereignty, but truly act upon it and are totally single minded, and wholly committed to regaining Scotland’s independence!
When you sign your individual Declaration, you are advising the world (via the UN) that you are exercising the very Sovereingty that was left as a permanent legacy to every Sovereign Scot from 700 years ago in 1320, and in the Claim of Right.
You – will be acting upon those legacies – when you sign your name to a document which records that you are:
“Exercising my Claim Of Right as a Sovereign Scot, I declare: I do not consent to the terms of, nor the continuation of, the Treaty of Union established through the Acts of Union in 1707.”
