This week I am joined by the entire crew. Eva, Phil, Lloyd and Yvonne. It is the week of the BIS fundraiser and rally in Edinburgh. In association with the SNP and The National newspaper no public march and rally has ever had as much publicity and promotion.We had David Henry in Edinburgh reporting for us on the numbers and mood of the crowd. We also managed a few interviews of the enthusiastic marchers.
These are the same folk that the politicians will expect to deliver the leaflets and knock the doors whenever and if ever we get another opportunity to vote for our independence.
To get to that position we need a strategy, something that has yet to be defined by the SNP or Greens. There are a lot of soundbites and the usual we could do better if we were independent but little in the way of a detailed plan.
The panel gives their opinion on what they see as the best way forward. Unity is the watchword. Without it we will never succeed in our quest for self-determination. This portion takes up the lions share of our programme. Remember to let us know what you think and of any alternative strategies to those discussed by our panel.
Other topics covered in this week’s show, drug and alcohol deaths, drug consumption rooms. Is free speech in danger when a man is arrested for shouting something at a politician? We debate why this is a priority for the police while the assault on Julie Marshall is deemed a minor incident!
We also debate the column from Sebastian Payne who is advocating to bring back national service, not of course, for everyone all the privately educated and wealthy need not worry. The shortages in the British Army will be topped up with people from the sink estates, not the mansions!

Purely for information: Sandy McCraken was one of the Yes Bikers who all signed their Declaration of a Sovereign Scot last year at Kirkcaldy. The original of his signed Declaration is now lodged at the UN HQ in New York – and I have asked the Bikers to ascertain from his family if they wish the copy that was kept. No comfort for this sad loss but Sandy’s individually signed Declaration will be amongst all those when eventually all the signed copies are compiled together in due course – it will be for Sandy a permanent reminder of his remarkable dedication and committment.
