As someone who has taken loads of abuse over the past few years for highlighting the dishonesty within the SNP, I should be joyous today, I am not. Indeed, the exact opposite I am extremely angry that it has taken so many years to see that some of the charlatans that captured the SNP are finally getting their comeuppance. It is a start, there is still a long way to go.
Those of us in the pro-independence media who were willing to call out Sturgeon’s many missteps and lies paid a heavy price. Not just the abuse from the keyboard warriors. That is like water off a ducks back to me. It was that certain senior members of the SNP not only openly lied, they were complicit, knowing full well the damage that was being done to our cause. They abandoned the pro-independence media and joined in with Sturgeon and her dalliance with the foreign owned anti-independence UK media!
Those same people took the pay cheque every month knowing that the party was being led by a narcissistic megalomaniac that had no intentions, no plan and no clue how to get us independence. Someone that put gender issues before independence and not one of them did a damn thing to prevent her stupidity or malfeasance.
They sat in meetings when the Stonewall fanatics started making their pitch. They knew it was scientific and biological nonsense. Everyone of them knew it drove a horse and carriages through the UK Equality Act 2010. They knew it had nothing to do whatsoever about independence. They knew it would harm the independence movement. Yet they went along with her and her tiny cabal, every step of the way.
They sat silently when the author of The Vow was given a senior role in the very heart of the party. The stood idly by as Sir Nick Macpherson another hero of the Better Together campaign was taken inside the inner circle. They knew that Unionist foxes were being brought into the independence chicken coop, yet they said and did nothing! They played along like good little spineless sheep!
They were complicit in the conspiracy to falsely imprison Alex Salmond. Indeed, some of them even lied and took an active part in this disgraceful chapter in Scotland’s history. They agreed to sell their very souls and perjurer themselves for a higher place at the Sturgeon trough. Many of them owed their very positions to Alex Salmond. Loyalty to themselves and their bank accounts won over doing the right thing.
They knew when incompetents were promoted way above their abilities and yet they said nothing. They were there as all the gains of the Salmond government of 2007 to 2014 were destroyed by incompetent Sturgeon appointees. They kept taking the money and watched as thousands and thousands of their fellow independence comrades were hounded and bullied out of the party.
When true Scottish Independence men like Chris McElveney and Angus MacNeil were booed and shouted down at Conference for trying to promote independence, they sat silently by and allowed it to happen. Eyes looking at their own feet they knew in themselves that they were sell outs and betraying the cause. Yet even then when independence was being booed, they said and did nothing!
As Sturgeon ended National Assembly and National Council and destroyed the last vestiges of democracy in the NEC they looked at their bank statements and nodded in agreement.
They actively blocked and traduced those of us that pointed out the failings of the party and the lies of Sturgeon and her cabal. They encouraged others to block and attack anyone that might expose the corruption at the very top of the party.
When Douglas Chapman, MP, and the elected auditors were refused access to the SNP accounts they said and worse still did nothing! Again they knew this was wrong but fear of being kicked off the gravy train prevented them doing a damn thing, except comply!
When the Holyrood Lists were gerrymandered to place Sturgeon’s wokerati fanatics ahead of the party choices as candidates they kept in the background and said and did nothing to prevent this affront to party democracy. When any SNP member complained the wokerati set about them and the elected MSPs and MPs said nothing!
When mandate after mandate was ignored they went along with it. MPs and MSPs blocked voices like myself and anyone that would speak truth to power. We were to be demonised, isolated, blocked! Even reading Wings or appearing on Through A Scottish Prism was viewed as heresy within Sturgeon’s SNP.
When Joan McAlpine and Joanna Cherry were being targeted by Sturgeon’ woke Praetorian Guard children, they knew it was wrong and being cowards they said and did nothing, and in some cases worse still, they joined in with the bullying.
So when Peter Murrell and Liz Lloyd and Murray Foote contacted these people and said ‘you will back Humza Yousaf’s candidature, they complied. They know like the rest of us that he is ill equipped to lead the party or country, but they did as they were told! When they were told to traduce Ash and Kate Forbes their own colleagues, they complied.
When our brave ladies or anyone else pointed out that all was not well with this election they did as they were told and said it was a conspiracy theory, it was Alex Salmond and the Alba Party that were up to no good. Peter Murrell was above reproach. The election process was above reproach. Indeed, Humza even extolled Murrell and indicated he would keep him as CEO.
Then this week the brown stuff hit the rotation blades! Some of the grifters have just decided to keep a low profile and hide. Still they have no courage, no honesty, no integrity. Today we hear that Peter Murrell has been given an ultimatum resign or be fired. Self-preservation is kicking in among some of the rats below deck while others have already headed for shore.
Humza to try and rescue his failing campaign and distance himself from the carpetbaggers has just lied again. He said HQ reform was always part of his plan! Even at this late stage he thinks one more lie might just be enough get him the prize!
It would be a phyric victory Humza. If next Friday he is declared the winner in the first round, I intend to buy a Truss type lettuce. He will not last a month. The membership has been woken, they are not going back to sleep. The cabal are all out, Humza has no allies in place to cover his incompetence or lack of the basic skills to do the required job.
If he truly cared for the party, the cause, Scotland he would withdraw from the contest today. He is part of the problem, not part of the solution!
This trauma of past years will take time to heal. I believe that Ash Regan is the best person to do that healing. I think with Kate Forbes at her side they can steer the SNP and the independence cause into calm waters. Ash has shown her credentials as a healer and unifier. She has also shown she is not afraid to stand up to bullies and liars. She will be perfect to stand up to the liars personified at Westminster.
So, no today I do not feel any joy. I do not want to take satisfaction in saying I told you so. Some of the poison has been removed from the party. Sadly, there is still more to be discharged before we can honestly say we are back on track. So all you grifters, devolutionists, bullies, pension pot fillers and liars be aware you are on notice! Scotland’s cause is greater than any individual!
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
Hear, hear!
All true unfortunately and what surprises me is that any logical reading of the meagre evidence available would have confirmed all this to members -what especially annoys me is the gender rights nonsense and the hearings in Holyrood which would have made Biffo the bear look like an intellectual and yes Robison really is that thick .
You are dead right Roddy, there’s no pleasure to be taken from what is happening, but there is a degree of satisfaction in realising that the necessary clear out has at least started. Without such a clear out the whole truth cannot emerge and this is vital to the much-needed re-unification of the independence movement.
There is nae comfort in being right, when we are not Independent.
Superb! I’m a retired Electrician big constructions, I can spot shysters a mile off
I did so with the SNP Cabal and the NEC .
It was corroborated with H&I yes groups and I triangulated with an Aberdeen group and read your blog. It’s all positive.

We have an opportunity to make the party ours again. Hopefully now the SNP will be member led and voters make better use of their 2nd vote at Holyrood elections.
I hope the did nothing lot read this and fell that finger being pointed right at them! There will be a few throwing the towel in. Those who relied on ‘chief mammy’ for their protection and mentoring. Like baby ducks learning to swim and navigate the political world. Now abandoned in the rushes! Doubt any will rise up as a Swan! Mother and father duck have gone. You are on your own! Independence is better for their removal.
I’m with you mate, a mixture of happiness and disgust (More Disgust). Hopefully all the truths will start to become known now that Murrell is gone especially concerning Salmondgate and I hope there is some come-uppance for the Alpha-betties that committed perjury during the trial. Just must be Seen to be Done as well as Be Done.
I cant add anything to this post from the heart Roddy, I feel the exact same, and it destroys me to see what has become of a party that was under the microscope when under Alex’s stewardship, not a germ could be seen, now under the Sturrelsls, the slide is black with mold
Yeah , I may tie the brush to the yard arm for a clean sweep. Sturgeon must now resign as a MSP and face the consequences of her lies and betrayals. The Attorney general must go to, and let’s not forget the Unionists lackey britnat cabal.
I feel joy Roddy.
If it makes me a bad person, then I’m sure I’ll find a way to live with it, but this is the brightest day in Scotland for a long time, and the first step in the right direction which Scotland has taken in over eight years.
I feel thankful too. Thankful to those who very well they’re gonna take stick for doing the right thing, and do the right thing regardless. That’s bloggers like yourself Roddy, and Rev Stu, Iain Lawson, and the list goes on, because we can be absolutely certain it isn’t the Scottish Press we have to thank for Scotland’s deliverance, it’s our bloggers and online community.
Speaking of which, I’m counting the hours to tomorrows Scottish Prism… I’m guessing there might be some last minute changes to the script… lol
Totally agree with you, Roddy. But I have to say I am truly thankful we don’t yet have independence. Imagine our poor country in those fraudulent hands! At least we can now make sure that crooks never again get their hands on power.
But first we must make sure to get rid of every single Sturgeonite.
This is what is going to be flung at Scotland. âSee youâre nit fit to run your own affairsâ. There is going to be a long period of shame and embarrassment for us all. But weâll rise again!
While Iâm not happy at the state the Murrells have left the snp and the wider movement, I am joyous that we can finally start getting somewhere, on a personal level Iâve always believed in Alex Salmond (my long deceased granny from Inverness was a good judge of character) and Iâm glad I trusted the correct people and I include yourself, wings, Grousebeater, etc in that, even though you still have me blocked on twitter đđ, in reality the only divisive part in our movement was the gravybus cabal and there teas oot as they say. Hopefully this is a lesson learned for ordinary supporters of independence, to trust the only real leader we ever had, and most importantly to trust our journalists, bloggers, essayists etc, not the bastards with the union agenda.
Today gives me hope that the show is back on the road.
Good piece by the way, it pretty much sums up the whole shitshow.
Well said, time to use a poultice to remove the rest of the corruption.
Latest – Murrell has gone with immediate effect.
Reading some of the comments on Twitter this afternoon, there are still a lot of people who still think the SNP is just fine as it is. None of them give any reasons, of course (and I’m assuming that most of them are real, not bots or socks), just spout the usual lines. Allegedly, there are 5000 new members – a figure I frankly doubt – but, if it has any truth at all, I hope that many of them are people fed up with the SNP we have and getting in ready for the next leadership vote in a lettuce’s lifetime.
Surely the current leadership vote will now have to be cancelled and restarted when confidence is restored? After all, the vote had started (with most votes already cast) when the discredited Murrell was still running the show. How can a “winner” be announced next week? They have embarrassed Scotland enough with this fiasco – we are already a laughing stock. Please NEC do the decent thing and cancel the vote. For goodness sake, stop digging!
Looking fwd to Prism tomorrow – should be a cracker!
Take a bow Roddy, Alex Salmond, Stuart Campbell (Wings), Craig Murray, Iain Lawson, Sara Salyers (SALVO), ALBA, SIP, Calton Jock and many others who suffered the slings and arrows in the cause of truth and independence. You have challenged power in Scotland and won. You have written Scottish history and it is important that you continue until the cause of Scottish Independence and freedom for our nation and our hard pressed people is achieved. Thank you!
Sorry! I missed Grouse Beater from my list of stalwarts!!!
Mark Hurst as well
Well said Roddy, not before time that the sh-t hit the fan,
but what about the westminster lot, they too need to be sorted out,
Mahiri Black springs to mind with her support for the Murrells etc on full
display in the National, she also must have known what was going on
but decided to keep silent as it was to her advantage to say nothing, sad.
Excellent blog, Roddy. Prism should be superb tomorrow!

I work with and am friends with Mark Hurst. He challenged the “Cabal” and felt its wrath! He is challenging it again and as a result of the recent collapse of the “Cabal” I expect that his challenge will be successful and help bring this house of cards down! Revenge is best served cold. Politicians should learn from history as it has a habit of repeating itself.
Thanks for all your hard work Roddy its good to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Looking forward to getting the band back together.
Good on you BB. You know where I stand. Why I doubled down on Indy after the referendum when Sturgeon took over was what has Scotland done to deserve this shower. I went into the referendum against Indy with the notion if Scotland wanted it so be it. I would accept it. What followed under Sturgeon was frightening. AS got a referendum and he was that good at getting one it crept up on us yoons until Cameron announced it. Different story with Sturgeon. She split the country into 2. It was not like that under AS. Even I accepted he was doing an alright job. It was up to us to do better. Watching this unfold is like watching the film The Towering Inferno film from way back. Lots more to come. Robin McAlpine hinted at the Heathrow Runway turnaround with Sturgeon. This comes back to there is a lot of people that know a lot of things and they should have said what they know about this corrupt cabal that got a hold of Scotland.
You know Roddy, that is the piece of prose I’ve been waiting to read for soooo long now, I was beginning to feel as haggard as I look! Suddenly, like snow on the water, the litany of depression has vanished, the house of cards comes fluttering down and talk about a tampered pack, it’s full of jokers! But no joke about the damage done through years of the devolutionist’s gravy train, but that’s being derailed by conspiracy theory just actually being fact. A rebirth of Indy? I don’t think so ‘cos it never died, but it’s getting enlightened, it’s time for the Renaissance!
I’m not as eloquent as some of the people on here this is all I can say. I supported Sturgeon up until 2017 when things just didn’t ring true.I knew Alec was innocent and had been fitted up.From then until a week ago I had given up on seeing my country independent now my heart is lighter and I believe I will be handing over an independent Scotland for my grandchildren to be proud of.đ´ó §ó ˘ó łó Łó ´ó ż
Cleaning the Augean stables
đđđ I agree, I strongly agree!
Very well written Barrhead Boy!
You are right…..It is sad it has come to this!
Things went downhill when Sturgeon had taken over and it was a downward spiral since then.
The economy and public finances are a disaster and with so much failures.
We must now move forward and think positive.

Yes. My thoughts since I took the Alba lifeboat . One disappointing individual who had the power to stop all the disgusting compliance is Mike Russell. As President he could have but was foremost in saying move along now…nothing to see here. Now as pro tem CeO….can we trust Mike? If he looks he will find where the money went…Will he tell us? If he finds thousands of fake ballots in Humzas name will he tell us? Aye …and pigs might fly.
Btw Ash was the woman of Steel who met and complained to the Ch CS that Liz Lloyd. On the state payroll was working for Humza. Result she had to resign. It was Ash that threatened to take the issue to court if the electorate numbers were not published….result Murrell and Foote out. So she has got rid of 3 rotting heads….and maybe her walking out on the GRR vote precipitated the worst and most corrupt Leader the snp ever had.
Kudos…your blog says it like it was.
Absolutely brilliant Roddy. Superb summary of the current state of affairs. And you’ve wee Slimy Sturgeon down in London saying she knew nothing of the membership numbers. Surely a key KPI especially when you’ve lost about 1/4 of your members.
You would think
