The last couple of days have been interesting and amusing. Since 2014 the Unionists have had a pent-up need to attack Scotland and the very idea of independence. While we in the independence movement bemoaned the SNP’s lack of movement over the past eight years, the Unionists bemoaned that they couldn’t get to do their favourite thing, girn and trash Scotland, their nation of birth!

Nicola’s rather damp squib on Tuesday was all the union weans needed. The English chattering class and House Jock media went into indignant meltdown. Jeremy Vine dedicated a programme to the topic. He should have named it ‘How dare these sweaty socks insult us superior English with their inane drivel about leaving the English Empire.’ The usual middle England right wing arrogant ignorant, ill educated came on to expose for all to see their complete and utter ignorance of the British Union and Scotland’s place inside the UK.

That arrogance and pomposity that takes it as proof positive that it is only because a small faction of Scotch agitators hates the benevolent all knowing perfect English that this disgusting desire to separate exists.They truly believe their own hype and their corrupt media regarding ‘their’ nation. Scotland is a possession, not a separate ancient country.

For centuries now a false narrative has been developed that makes the English believe that they are superior to all other nations on the earth, with one exception, the US who they see as their only equal on the planet. The two most despised and broken nations on this earth, both afflicted with the same exceptionalism disease. They truly believe everyone loves them. Delusion on stilts and steroids!

England and its people truly believe everyone in the world envies them and their nationality. They believe that immigrants only go to England because of the massive welfare benefits. They think it is common knowledge that no country is as lawful, kind, considerate, generous, welcoming as England. They even throw in generous rendition flights to Rwanda at no cost to the asylum seekers!

They have been led to believe everyone loves the English monarchy and wishes she was their Queen too. They block out the reality that all of the Caribbean nations and now Australia too have indicated they intend to become republics. I would also expect Canada to indicate the same once the present Queen departs her mortal coil. They block this out just like they have blocked out their recent 4-0 home defeat to Hungary in the Nations League.

Acknowledging these realities would mean having to accept some other difficult truths. That just perhaps they are not the best at everything. The possibility that there are flaws in anything to do with England’s democracy, law, education, world standing, economy form of governance.

The narrative is that the NHS is failing because too many foreigners are taking advantage of the system, it is not because the corrupt government has starved it of proper funding for decades. It also has to be denied that Brexit has caused the staff shortages. That would mean admitting England requires foreign help and that just cannot be allowed! All faults and shortcomings are blamed on nameless faceless individuals and trade Unionists. It must not, and can never be about horrific policy making and governance by the English Public school elite that pollute the political, civil service and media in the UK.They must at all times be free of any blame.

For forty odd years they were able to lay every dysfunctional part of the UK’s governance at the door of Brussels.That resulted in Brexit, however to admit that this too was a monumental cock up has to be hidden.That is why the EU has to take the blame for Treaty that the UK negotiated. The responsibility for anything that is less than perfect has to be someone elses fault it can never, ever be the fault of England or its governance by the English Public School elite!

It is the same in sport when an English team loses a contest the post defeat discussion is always why certain English sportsmen didn’t perform as they had been instructed or the English manager made a human error with the tactics or team selection, the ball wasn’t at the right pressure or it was a long season for the England players. This, of course, ignores the reality that it was an equally long season for the opponents, and the ball is the same for both teams. It can never ever be admitted that a foreign team is ever in any way just better than any England team at any sport. It has to be a fluke, a bad referee, a sub-standard non-English playing surface, non-English weather, bullying fans, any excuse except some other nation is better at anything than an English team. This doubly applies when it is Scotland ,Wales or Ireland!

That is why the programmes of Jeremy Vine, Nick Ferrari, James O’Brien, SKY News, BBC London all take it so personally that any Scot could possibly contemplate not being under England’s superior maternal governing wing. It is just ingratitude and Scottish bigots that could possibly not want English rule over their rather backward inadequate country. Doesn’t it always rain in Scotchland too?

That is why our media, drama, current affairs in the UK is all so Anglocentric. They truly believe there is nothing fairer or more balanced than telling the inferior Celts all about England because nothing of interest or newsworthy ever happens in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Have you noticed in our drama how the smart main character is always the Home Counties middle class English man or woman? The helper, the crook, the drunk, the aggressive ill educated buffoon are always Celts, the leading characters middle England, middle class Anglos!

In governance in our unequal Union, we have Secretary’s of State for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland apparently and obviously England doesn’t require a voice at Cabinet it already has a megaphone. GERS and equivalent are released for the Celtic nations but of course, none are ever produced for England. It is just a given the only reason England has any debt is because of the Scots, Welsh and Irish are proliferate with their fixed block grants/pocket money. The generosity of England apparently knows no bounds.

In the coming months this narrative will be pumped out more and more. Those in governance in London know that Scotland is the money tree. They will convince England, and they hope enough Scots too that without an English subsidy Scotland would be a failed state. Sadly, a great number of Scots will also believe this lie. Most of the English will believe the lie too, because it plays into their false superiority complex.

Too many will fail to take a step back and apply some logic to this oft repeated nonsense. Just as they are willing to accept continual failure on the world stage at sport is because of cheating Johnny Foreigners, freaky weather and bent referees it is best to believe ungrateful Jocks are subsidised for £ Billions every year with English taxes not that Scotland is being robbed to subsidise their impoverished nation!

Nobody ever thinks that this UK government, that taxes, their granny’s spare bedroom, denies pensions to the WASPI women, cuts Universal credit to the bone, gives pensioners in effect a pension cut all to save money will though give Scotland, Wales and NI £ Billions and £ Billions of subsidies each and every year!

For a nation that thinks they are superior to all other nations the people are not very smart to accept that!  Why would any English politician Tory or otherwise allow such a thing to happen year after year to England and its impoverished people? We in the independence movement know the answer of course! England is and has always been a parasitical nation maintaining its elite and lifestyle by stealing the wealth and resources of other nations. It has always been so, as an example just ask India.

It has been stealing Scottish resources and wealth since 1707. They have managed this sadly because many Scots over the past 300 + years collaborated with the English ruling elite. Today many continue to do this. These Scots born people are the ones I hold in the greatest contempt.

How any decent human being can work in the interests of another nation against the best interests of their own nation of birth, disgusts me. When you ask them to justify this, they are unable to answer. I have asked every single leader of the English registered parties in Scotland and as many of their elected and membership and supporters as I can find this simple question. ‘Name three things that can only be achieved by the British Union that cannot be achieved by an independent Scotland.’ To date, I have never received a single credible reply to that simple question.

The reason is equally simple, the answer is nothing! An independent Scotland can do anything the UK does now, and so much more. We will also be able not to do many of the things that the UK does too! Like WMD, foreign wars at US behest, rejoin the Single Market. We can have as many immigrants as want or need to come. We will always get the government we elect not the one a foreign country elects. Our own foreign policy, our own media, our own drama, our own history, our own narratives!

It leads me to this conclusion, if they cannot answer that satisfactorily it means they cannot even justify to themselves why they would work for a foreign country to the detriment of their own nation. There is a word for people like that, it is not a patriot!

So buckle up folks, over the coming days and weeks you, our nation and everything about us is going to be trashed, demeaned, degraded, discredited, shamed and bullied. The saddest part in all of this is that certain Scots and  ‘scottish’ journalists in the pay of England will be heading up these attacks on our nation and people.

Take heart, though. It is because they know England’s hegemony over Scotland is coming to an end. It is their last throw of the dice, and they know they are destined to lose! What we do with these people post independence is anyone’s guess. I know what I would do with them!
