The Neverendum

An amendment to a resolution at the SNP Conference to debate using 2026 Holyrood as a Plebiscite Independence Election has been blocked by the conference committee. For the fourth year in a row, the Conference has been prevented from even discussing an independence Plan B. Angus Brendan took a philosophical view and offered two scenarios. Either the SNP Party hierarchy think a referendum is imminent and so there is no need for this amendment. Alternatively they truly are not interested in independence. Let’s look at what we know.

The famous Draft Referendum Bill is still going through the due process at Holyrood. This is the same Bill, that Nicola Sturgeon keeps promising but never delivering. Nicola has promised this so many times I think only her most devoted souls actually believe it even exists, and of course, the Editor and headline writers, at The National.

The first time she promised a Draft Independence Bill was in 2016.Numerous times since then she has promised it, usually coinciding with an imminent election. Shortly after the UK General Election in Dec. 2019 she assured us it would be ready by 31st Dec. 2020. This was before we officially left the EU.That gave her 12 months after her capitulation speech on January 31st, 2020. It didn’t happen, so Nicola came up with a new tale and a, new date. There was, an election looming and she needed re-elected. The National printed one of its famous and numerous Indy Ref 2 headlines. We were told it would be ready before Parliament rose in April 2021 for the Holyrood Election. We now know that all work on the Bill was stopped by Nicola Sturgeon in March 2021. Another pledge broken, the independence can once again kicked down the street.

During the election campaign we were told it would be good to go right after the May Election. All that was needed was, another SNP victory. Here we are in September 2021, and it still sits gathering dust in Edinburgh. Nothing done on its progress since March 2021.You can however comfort yourselves knowing that work is going full steam ahead on GRA Reform and the Hate Crime Bills. That, of course, does not stop the National printing one of its frequent Indy Ref2 front pages. Whenever Nicola or the SNP are facing difficulties, the National runs the Indy Referendum is coming headline.

We know that Angus Brendan and Chris McEleny tried for several years to get a Plan B debated at Conference. Each and every time they tried, it was blocked by the conference committee. We also know that Chris was shouted down and booed at SNP Conference because he was wanting the party to hold a debate on Independence. If as a member and voter that wasn’t a clue to you then there really is no hope for you!

Here are some uncomfortable realities for those that believe the almost weekly National headline regarding an imminent referendum is credible. There has been absolutely zero preparations made to hold an Independence referendum in the foreseeable future. I think Angus Brendan and this amendment being blocked should be enough to tell everybody the SNP is not planning any movement on Independence anytime soon.

It is not just the Draft Bill being halted, Sturgeon has not even asked Westminster for her Gold Standard Section 30 permission yet. None of the policy issues, that hampered us in 2014 have been addressed. Where is our National Investment Bank that was going to be readied to become post independence our Central Bank? Why, even after Conference voted for it has the currency issue not become party policy? Let me give you a clue. Nicola was opposed to what the majority democratically voted for, and you do not get away with going against the Dear Leader.

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-48069470

Where are the negotiations with EFTA and EU in preparation for a positive referendum outcome? Where is the appointing of regional coordinators and trainers to ensure a professional independence referendum campaign? Why have no SNP Branches been briefed or told to start training in preparation for this upcoming event? Why have the Branches not been told to raise funds in anticipation of a campaign? Why has Nicola Sturgeon not tried to reunite the divided Yes Movement? Where are the olive branches for the other independence parties? We need a united Yes front. Does anyone think the SNP can win a referendum all on their own while their supporters, spend all day attacking other independence supporters and parties? Where is the ring fenced money to fight this campaign? What is the SNP position regarding the border with England and Northern Ireland post independence? Why are SNP emissaries not touring the globe schmoozing foreign governments?

Why is the Scottish Government not promoting and utilising the sovereign will of the people of Scotland daily? Why isn’t the SNP Scottish Government already beginning to act like a sovereign administration in anticipation of independence? Why is Sturgeon seeking four nation solutions to everything from Covid to Scotland’s Oil reserves? That is not the actions of someone that intends to seek independence anytime soon. You distance yourself from your colonial overlord you do not work closely with them. Covid and Brexit were the time for SNP to take a different path for Scotland. A time to show Scots, England and the rest of the world Scotland was, readying itself to leave the union. Not act in a four nation union, that sends the opposite signal. It says we have a colonial mindset. We accept our place as an English colony. We accept Scotland is subservient to England.

In the seven years, Nicola Sturgeon has been leader of the SNP there has been no Conference Debates on Independence. The NEC has not discussed or planned for independence for at least five years. There has not been a single SNP led Independence campaign of any sort. In the 2017 UK General Election the word coming down from Edinburgh to all the campaigners was ‘do not mention the independence word!!

Anyone that tries promoting independence within the SNP, Angus Brendan, Joanna Cherry are sidelined and bad mouthed. The Pro Independence Media are treated like enemies of independence by the SNP hierarchy and their devoted followers. Sites like this that are agitating for action on Independence are deemed enemies of Scotland and Independence. Meanwhile, MPs like the one for Perth and North Perthshire are backing the unionist inspired we need 60% Yes in opinion polls before even contemplating an Independence referendum.

Mike Russell has been given a second hand horse box to further the cause. I am reliably informed he had to clean the horseshit out of the trailer before he started talking the same shit to the public.

So, no planning, no legislation, no policies, no money and no leadership. The National newspaper might be easily duped, I doubt that the Scottish people are so easily fooled.

I should say here and now, I never want us to hold a referendum. I can almost guarantee we would lose it. Sturgeon is incapable of uniting and leading a campaign for Scottish independence. She does not have the skills, the bravery or the intelligence to win a fight against the British State.

We need a plebiscite UK General Election in 2023/24 followed by a Scottish Grand Assembly and an Independence declaration. There is a lot of preparatory work before that is possible. I have listed some of them above. First and foremost we need an SNP leadership that has the will and guts to take the fight to London. If their intransigence  and reluctance to act remains then at said UK General Election they need removed and replaced by a party that is, willing to fight for Scotland. That is the stark reality before us if we want Scotland free.

  • Brilliant piece! If there are any real SNP members left surely, once they see the whole anti-independence scene displayed above, they’ll have the good sense to leave the SNP and join one of the true Scottish Independence parties.

  • Powerful stuff today BB. Indy2 is not coming with this corrupt Gov we have here in Scotland. Corrupt to the core. Surrounded by clapping seals. Its too serious to be funny that Scotland has a FM like the one we have, aided and abetted by people who just cannot and are incapable of seeing what is happening. We have at this moment going through watching the 3rd phase of the destruction of Alex Salmond with this book coming out by a so called journalist in the Times and Clegg who started the attacks on Salmond aided and abetted by our esteemed FM and her sidekick. The ALBA party got off to a bad start when certain MSP’s\MP’s bottled out of joining ALBA when they really should have went with him. If more of them upheld the values you so splendidly write about in here ALBA would be much stronger and capable of fighting back. This will not happen. He is going to be finished off by this corrupt Gov we have. I myself as you know do not agree with Independence. I campaigned twice and three times a day against it but agreeing with myself that if the people want it so be it. I would agree. What happened after it saddened me with the behavior of people who have just been voted in the biggest democratic decision in our lifetime. Then watching Sturgeon and the clapping seals and listening and reading what is happening inside the SNP I have doubled down on my efforts to prevent Indy. Fearful of what would happen with Sturgeon in power because she will never ever ever let that go. Scotland is in a dangerous place just now and you are correct in saying an INDY2 will not be won. If that guy on the NEC , the map maker is the best you have then there is no hope. I see him make desparaging remarks about Andrew Wilson every time he speaks. Not a good sign for INDY I am afraid BB. Anyway you take care BB and keep up your powerful contribution. Ian Lawson seems to be another good writer which I read from time to time. He knows what is happening too. Pity about Wings. His stuff on what Sturgeon was up to was so forensic it was uplifting. Reduced now I am afraid to Anti-vaxers and conspiracy theorists. Sad day for the Indy movement. Good day BB. Take care.

    • You’ve lost me, Bud. Wings: “reduced to Anti-vaxers and conspiracy theorist.” ? “I have doubled doubled down on my efforts to prevent Indy.”? Also, who exactly is “the map maker” on the NEC? (Excuse my ignorance.). Above everything else, you must surely be aware that Indy will change all things for ever and that Mystic Meg herself couldn’t hope to predict which party or coalition of parties the Scottish electorate might choose to govern in the first parliament of the new republic. By-the-by, anyone making “disparaging remarks about Andrew Wilson”, in my estimation, can’t be all bad.

  • “She does not have the skills, the bravery or the intelligence to win a fight against the British State”

Nor even the will or the wish.

  • What an excellent blog today Roddy. At the end of the 8th paragraph I think you meant to ask why the SNP emissaries are not schmoozing foreign govts. Well that’s because they’re snoozing.

  • The Mike Russel horse box was a deliberate insult to the YES movement. It was an insult intended to make a not very subtle dig at those who believe in Scottish Independence but don’t trust the NuSNP.

A great many people who are passionate about gaining Independence would find it very hard to vote for it now given the undemocratic behaviour of Sturgeon.

If the democratic structure of a Party can be destroyed by her then why would I give her more power to destroy my Nation.

  • A great summary of the sad state of SNP and lack of leadership.
Can’t understand why Brendan McNeil and Joanna Cherry don’t join Alba.
They would bring. Any with them

  • Brilliant Roddy !
Thanks as always for your fire, and the clarity you bring when looking at our dire situation. History will not be kind to our current FM, her clique, and those cowardly, muted, parliamentary representatives in Holyrood and Westminster ( barring a few notable exceptions) who sit on their hands, while Scotland’s resources continue to be pillaged, and our people’s wellbeing lessened, on a daily basis.
    WAKE UP SCOTLAND !

  • “The National newspaper might be easily duped”? Surely “The National newspaper might be cheaply bought off”, no?

They’re not good, but they know what they’re about

  • Good article and questions which the Scottish government need to answer. I would add that their supporters need to ask themselves why they have not been implemented especially the assertion of Scots sovereignty. That at the very least should be mandatory.

  • As ever, straight to the point. I make the following comments for the benefit of SNP members:

    03/09/21

SNP members can currently be looked at as in four categories:
    – those who know and accept/approve what is happening (and, in all probability, some pretending to be in the other categories)
    – those who through misguided loyalty/inertia/ignorance don’t or refuse to) know what is happening
    – those who know what is happening and are remaining to see if it will be stopped
    – those who know what is happening and are actively opposing it

If the fourth group find they cannot force a proper party debate on indy tactics (or if that debate fails to change the status quo) – attempt to have an “emergency” debate, raise points of order, filibuster and disrupt all other business, whatever it takes – at the first opportunity, then either they should leave or they have joined the third category. If the third group see this failure then either they should leave or they have joined the second category.
The second group need their eyes tested.
The first group are the enemy.

We cannot afford to hold still while this is being resolved. Scotland needs a movement for independence which is active now. We need Now Scotland, Alba, the Constitutional group, MPs, MSPs, councillors, YES groups et al using all practical means to both campaign and act for independence now and every day until the goal is achieved. If an indy political party gets into government then its must single-mindedly enact independence without delay.

  • Excellent. And spot on.

May I add you forgot to mention the cowardly SNP MPs and MSPs – who are too feart to even try to stop her.

P.S. Police Scotland – when are there going to be arrests regarding the leaks, the perverting the course of justice and the missing £650,000 ?

    • I’d issue a warrant for Sturgeons arrest for Highland Jig Identification (nonfeasance, malfeasance, accepting public monies for civic duty and treason). Prison time will last from the time she was FM until the day George Square is renamed.

Bang on Roddy. I believe another referendum would be a trap, sprung by an extremely untrustworthy and incompetent Sturgeon, aided and abetted by the English ruling class controlled parliament.

  • I keep being told there are good people in the SNP but if so where are their voices against the dollops we have as leaders?

Are they too wee , too stupid or too poverty stricken to risk their well paid ‘jobs’?

  • Sigh. Here we go again. They can continue to try and stall (and they will IMO) but surely the moment of truth approaches. One way or another, all will be revealed for the world to see – are they genuinely for Scottish independence or more interested in their cushy, well-paid jobs. One thing is for sure, they will struggle to get past another electoral test with nothing delivered. People are at the end of their tether. The patience tank is already running on empty. Thank goodness for the Alba alternative because I really don’t feel motivated to vote SNP anymore (not in its present form) – seriously. I never thought it would come to this, but people can only take so much before they cut their losses and move on. If it turns out that all this referendum BS was nothing more than a clever deception, a complete betrayal, they will never be forgiven.

    • Luigi, the type of people who did what they did to Salmond have no shame and couldn’t care less if they are forgiven or not.

      STURGEON THE BETRAYER

      Is also

STURGEON THE DESTROYER OF PEOPLE’S INDEPENDENCE HOPES

  • It beggars believe that any individual who claims to care about and wants Scottish Independence can’t see the written is on the wall for the New SNP and that Sturgeon has no plan of any kind other than blaming Westminster and the Tories for saying no to Scotland having a say on extremely important issue, namely Scotland being Independence and havingEU membership. It’s a fact that covid has had a devastated effect on Scottish life’s and the economy and that Brexit has had the same devasting effect on the economy and people’s livelihoods. It shows to me how little experience Sturgeon has gained since she came to the post of FM and leading a Country over 7yrs ago. Most countries around the world, even third world countries have dealt with covid and its effects on poverty, but they have done this as Independent Counties and maintained that Independence, and they have been able to run a whole functional government, so why can’t Scotland? It’s simple, because Sturgeon isn’t the person to be FM as is in the wrong job, the damage that this is going to do later on will be evident when we do have a referendum and it will deny us our biggest and best chanced of taken our Country back.
I’ve notice in life that certain individuals in life will say something and they’ll keep saying it even when the evidence proves that what they are saying is wrong, but it doesn’t matter how much evidence you bring to these individuals they just will not accept it, meet the New SNP members.
If we can just get one Old SNP MSP to switch and join the Alba Party as a MSP, just watch what this does to Sturgeon, it would destroy her moral.

  • You hit the nail on the head again, BB! I have to agree with absolutely all you have said – more’s the pity. I mean by that I am sorry I cannot come up with some positive response that proves there ARE plans afoot to do Indy. There just aren’t. And never have been, with that woman in place.

What really gets me though, and I don’t for the life of me understand – people saying they will NOT vote Indy with her in charge, because life in Scotland will be hellish under her thumb. The fact is – life IS hellish NOW under her thumb! Basically you’re saying you want to keep the status quo – her in charge! IF and I mean IF, we were ever to get the chance of Indy under her, we’d be having elections quite soon after Indy day, to re-establish a government who will put policies in place that we CHOOSE to have. Sturgeon & cabal will NOT be in charge unless we elect her again. And quite frankly, given most of Scotland will know by then how their women & children are at risk, I doubt she’ll be elected!

So, to be honest, VOTING FOR INDEPENDENCE is also the ONLY way we can get rid of Sturgeon within this political term. Saying you WON’T vote for Indy actually means you accept her leadership, policies & her government till it’s time to vote them out again! Another 4.5 years! Well… if that’s what you want! But the reasoning for not voting indy is flawed, if Indy is what you really desire.

The only ‘bright’ moments I see during these next 4.5 years are finding out what the Police decide on the missing £600,000, what happens regards Alex Salmond’s new court cases involving Clegg & Andrews & the case against Evans. Hopefully one of them will finally bring the SNP down. But there’s big money & powerful people keeping her in situ so… don’t like the chances. Think we’re just gonna have to vote her out next election!

The trouble is, too – I don’t believe Joe Public yet knows what’s going on. Getting word out has to be a priority. Leaflets (and street stalls now) seem to be the only way, as I see it…

  • This article is absolutely spot on, its been promise after promise on delivering an indyref since Brexit but nothing happens, we’re told that Mike Russell is working on a cunning indy plan and that it will be ready come the SNP’s conference, but only the die-hard Sturgeonites will buy into that one.

When are the membership going to see through the SNP hierarchy, for what they they really are, at best they are gradualists, at worst they want the status quo to remain indefinitely. Meanwhile Johnson and Westminster don’t skip a beat on moving forward with their plans, which includes undermining Holyrood and devolution.

  • An absolute belter of an article.

Where are all these people who said we don’t need to make the 2021 election a plebicite for independence we will be having a referendum right after after we win the election.

    • Ahhhh another cunning plan Nicola – Baldrick had his turnips & she has her carrots, which we seem to get fed on a daily basis now

For me there were two gold plated opportunities for her to declare #indyref2 – 2016 after the EURef result and 2018 when it was clear there wasn’t going to be a second EU referendum (yes Nicola, you waste time trying to overcome democratic England’s decision, as long as you get your face on the TV)

I remember at branch meetings in 2017 being told not to mention independence, with the slogan was “Stronger for Scotland” – quite possibly the worst campaign & slogan in the history of SNP activism, certainly in my time

She & Murrell couldn’t run a bottle stall at the Holy Fair and there are still SNP faithful telling me how wonderful she is and that I should have stayed in the Party to “change it from within”. Oh, you mean like electing new NEC members at conference and asking for a debate on routes to independence, aye right

The woman and her coven need to go – they are only interested in Nicola Sturgeon Inc. and none more so than the woman herself.

  • I’m actually laughing at this.
    Who put her there?
Who allowed and encouraged everyone to see Nicola Sturgeon as the face of the independence movement?
Who allowed her to steal their party, and then left in a huff rather than stay and fight?

It’s been game over for Scottish independence since she took over. There was never going to be another referendum unless she was cast iron certain she could win.
Indyref2 has been unwinnable since the Brexit referendum. Only a fool would vote to leave 2 unions at the same time, only a fool would believe that leaving the UK. Would fix being out of the EU when there were no plans about what came next.

If you want Scotland to leave the UK then do the planning and persuading the electorate to make that choice.
All this nonsense about getting Nicola to change is pointless. She’s exactly where she wants to be.

  • Like most real independenistas, I am heartily sick and bemused by what is going on in this country and how it is being totally bamboozled by a entryist group led by Sturgeon ( not ‘Nicola’). who appears to be working on a long worked out plan of emasculating our movement.

Who or what is behind it is difficult and possibly pointless in fretting about. What is clear is the evidence that B.B. has laid out in all its gory detail in this article. Nothing but lies and obsfuscation to keep the ‘faithful’ hanging on every dissembling word. Legislation that is baffling in its illogicality and illegality. Persecution of Independency supporting individuals, concerted media and social media attacks on bloggers and mavericks, and most sinisterly the malicious prosecutions and imprisonment of these same people. What party fighting an imperial oppressor turns and attacks its own bedrock support?

Sturgeon and the Imposter leadership she surrounds herself with must never be allowed to jump ship and try to infiltrate either Alba or any other grassroots Independence party. I don’t want any of the cowards and traitors that sit daily in the English Parliament or the Royal mile gas works. People who shame Scotland every day by their supine crawling to their imperial masters and their Ruritarian ‘rules’ that suppress us.

We must accept that the game, for the moment, is a bogey, but the struggle must go on. The people of Scotland saved the day at Bannockburn, the rag tag and Boabtails turned up at the last moment to put the Saxons to the sword. The mobs in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dumfries burned the traitors’ farewell note to Scottish Independence..the so-called Act of Union in the streets and chased the yellow bellied toom tabards for their rotten lives. The modern Scots population must organise itself again and reject these present day ‘leaders’. It will take time and a party fit for purpose with the short term aim of achieving Independence, via a plebiscite election, but with a clear egalitarian and transparent constitution prepared for the new Scottish State.

  • You didn’t miss and hit the wall with this post. It was so good I expected a squad of cheerleaders doing a victory dance by the time I’d finished reading it. I think we’ll have to wait for the next election and vote in Alba if there’s to be any chance of an IndyRef in this decade. Whatever happens, Sturgeon needs thrown out as there will never be independence with her in charge. When someone continually lies to you, you’d be a fool to believe anything the have to say.

  • Excellent article, clearly articulates the flaws in any pro-SNP arguments about the liklihood of a referendum.

One thing though – the National Investment Bank is indeed up and running: haven’t you heard? Not surprising, really, considering it all went very quiet, after the initial proposals lauded it as being for the ordinary Scottish people, it turned into lots of raving big-wig neoliberals being appointed to the board of trustees, who are no doubt this minute handing out big fat loans to all their big-business pals. No, I doubt we’ll hear much more about this socially progressive move to benefit Scotland, and I should image any spare cash is getting shipped off to tax havens.

The last DRAFT referendum Bill was hastily produced to throw off Martin Keatings case, I believe; it meant that when the case went to appeal, the judges decided that the case wasn’t relevant because the Scottish government was imminently about to go through with a referendum, and plebs don’t get a say anyway. Why the judges didn’t roll their eyes at the draft Bill being waved about, and say “not another one, FFS… on yer bike, ye chancers”, I doubt we’ll ever know.

    • Most of this years money in the Investment Bank has been thrown at ” Spaces For People” which benefits the few on bikes and giving over a third of our roads to cyclists.

  • Another great post Roddy and views I completely agree with and have said for years , rebuttal unit , central bank , national power company , progress Scotland ,DRAFT (not even a real one) referendum bill HA,HA,HA LIES and FAILED PROMISES

I posted this on WOS and Grumpyscottishman, as a possible ALBA official Roddy what say you
    ————————————————————————————————–
I am not a member of any political party and have no desire to be , but it is up to the membership of any organisation to FORCE the direction of that organisation ,it is NOT the management who should be directing and stating the route .
SURELY that is what has destroyed our faith in the SNP being the party of independence because Sturgeon has manipulated and FORCED compliance rather than the membership DIRECTING HER

TBQH I am sick of politicians telling us what to do , it is time they were TOLD the direction of travel , the membership should NOT be sitting around HOPING that Alex and his team will favour a plebiscite election , they should be insisting and telling the management that is what will be the stated condition of fighting EVERY election from now on , every election that ALBA contests ,if they win it is a permanent manifesto promise to declare independence , no ifs no buts ,and if anyone votes for ALBA they are voting for them under those conditions which are legally stated
In the coming ALBA conference the membership should ensure that promise is written into the constitution and cannot be removed unless the whole membership agrees
This continued pfaffing about by ALL concerned only benefits the union

ALBA members DEMAND a plebiscite election

  • Yes. Since the guy Stuart stepped aside Wings message board is filled with infighting about the vaccination and conspiracy theories. They are all falling out. Not a good sign. If you are not up to date with who the map maker is on the NEC and who is making a fool out of himself speaking at empty rallies ask BB who he is. As for Andrew Wilson , well the White Paper has been debunked. The Growth Commission thrown away. They never even launched it. They dumped it in a hotel foyer round the corner from Parliament when they read it so it looks like you have to start again on trying to change the minds of people like me. That is your orders from Mike Russel’s horsebox. You are not off to a good start. Mystic Meg as you call her will never ever give up her place in Scottish politics. You should know that.

  • Mike Russell and his horse box…the ‘Mister Ed’ of Scottish politics, a talking horse, or should that be a talking arse?

  • “Only a fool would write the idiocy you do. Name 3 things that can only be achieved by the British Union that cannot be achieved by an independent Scotland”

Why not just choose them yourself with help from here ?
    https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2021/02/04/indyref2-scottish-independence-would-be-2-3-times-more-costly-than-that-of-brexit-and-rejoining-the-eu-wouldnt-make-up-the-difference/

When is the penny finally going to drop that the last 10 years was nothing other than an elaborate Con trick on Scotland by the SNP ? They have always known it , its not something they want because they know Scotland would be fiancially ruined , its just a carrot and stick campagning tool for the SNP and nothing else.

    • Another Unionist arse that is too thick to even understand a simple question. NAME THREE THINGS THAT CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED BY THE BRITISH UNION!!! You dullard. Not the things you colonised spineless clowns have been told Scotland cannot do. When you can’t even read a a simple question it shows just how thick you lot are!!

      • Now now BB. You are supposed to be out there changing our minds. That is your job this year of Indy. First you have to get rid of Blythe and Tim Rideout who are making the case for no themselves. We are not doing anything. We are just discussing the things your people are saying. Take the Greens. Getting rid of the pound?. Run a poll on that ( not an Angus poll) and you will have a nightmare. Take care.

        • Again you show your stupidity. My job is not to change minds my job is telling people the facts something you are unable to do. Try answering the question you were asked, impossible for a colonised unionist I know but give it a bash.

  • Some one is in jail over this.
Alex Salmond refers to others ??? Craig Murray?
    Attribution: Tom Gordon The Herald

Alex Salmond “said he had consulted his lawyers over Break-Up, by the respected journalists David Clegg and Kieran Andrews –”
“Mr Salmond said he considered the book potentially breached the criminal law and had reported his concern to prosecutors –” “– he had referred the book extracts to the Crown Office for “criminal investigation”.

Salmond said,“ — after consultation with my lawyers, I consider that the book potentially breaches the criminal law in a number of ways and I have reported my concerns to the Crown.
The Crown Office has previously taken action against others.
Now it must now display the impartiality and independence which lies at the heart of public prosecution in pursuing these breaches.”

    Others? What others!
Jig Saw identification has only one precedent.
Admittedly Salmond did not specifically refer to Jig Saw identification and raised other issues of contempt but apparently accusers can be identified by reading the book “Break-Up”. The MSM have publicly outed the Salmond accusers using Jig Saw identification.
The authors probably refer to contemporary published reports still on public record and therefore cannot be prosecuted by Jig Saw Dorian and Co. Legal advice would ensure that authors did not rely on the offending material taken down from Craig Murray’s blog by order of Jig Saw Dorian. So Craig’s not in the frame.

Salmond’s lawyers are far more successful than Craig’s but it’ll be a cold day in hell before the Crown Office prosecutes David Clegg and Kieran Andrews. The MSM have just snubbed their noses at Jig Saw Dorian.
