Albert Einstein famously said, Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results! It is obviously not a lesson that our English registered political parties or corrupt media in Scotland have taken on board.
This week a very coordinated attack on the SNP Scottish Government was started by BBC Scotland. (Why they have Scotland in their name beats me!) The topic chosen this time was the ferries fiasco. Do not get me wrong what has happened with the Caledonian Macbrayne franchise, never mind these particular ferries is an omnishambles. This blogsite via Through A Scottish Prism highlighted just how incompetent the Scottish Government and the ferry operator have been in this entire matter. Unlike the Unionists though, we offered an alternative and a solution to the present difficulties.
It is a regrettable fact that since Nicola Sturgeon became First Minister the SNP Scottish Government has very much failed at everything. There really isn’t a great success story that even the most ardent SNPer could hold up to proudly say what a great job Nicola is doing. Apart from baby boxes, sadly, there really isn’t any other significant highlights of her tenure. Educational standards and the attainment gap have not improved. The NHS although the best in UK is still far from perfect. Our road and rail networks are chaotic. Nothing shows that up more than the potholes in our capital city. The journey in from Edinburgh Airport to the city centre is akin to riding a wild west stagecoach in the 19th century in USA such are the thumps and bumps you receive.
The biggest farce of course, is the once excellent Scottish Justice system is a global joke. The failure to separate the judiciary from the state is third-world stuff. That the Lord Advocate sits in the Cabinet is an affront to both justice and democracy. However, the biggest failure is our police force. Wrongful arrests, no arrests, incompetent investigations, no investigations. A Chief Constable openly showing he wants out of his job and he doesn’t care who knows! Not exactly great for morale!
However here is the problem for the Britnat English registered parties and the corrupt foreign media. The public have become inured to your constant and pathetic attacks. For as long as anyone alive can remember all the opposition have done is spout ‘SNP bad.’ That is it, day after day, week after week the same repetitive bleating. All that changes is the topic. It is too coincidental that the same line of attack on a given topic is always the same one of all three English Parties at Holyrood. In commerce it would be called a cartel and made illegal! Too many times it is fabricated nonsense that the public see right through. How many times did Labour report Alex Salmond for some ‘breach’ of the Ministerial code? Every time rejected out of hand. How many times have House Jocks demanded resignations of Cabinet Secretaries? Never anything positive, always negative girning and doom and gloom.
From 2007 onwards it became worse and has been the only strategy of all the British nationalist political parties in Scotland. They have opposed every single policy or initiative ever introduced by successive SNP Governments. Granted between 2007 and 2014 they had lots more to oppose.
It is incredible to think that such is their hatred and lack of ideas that they opposed the removal of student fees and bridge tolls.They even opposed free care for the elderly and bus passes. Recently they even opposed the introduction of baby boxes! This is just a few of the entirety that the English based parties fight against. Not even a hint at improving the baby box just outright objections to its implementation. The Scottish public see it for what it is, shameful politicking!
The method of attack is always the same. The corrupt media usually the BBC run an expose story as in the latest one about ferries. Then the Britnats coordinate their attacks at Holyrood. All making virtually the same outraged speeches and asking practically identical questions in the hope that the Scottish people will somehow abandon their desire for independence. Then the foreign owned media join in with banner headlines and emotive language. Be clear on this the House Jock Parties and foreign media couldn’t care less about the ferries or the islanders or the pensioners or indeed the entire population of Scotland. Like student fees and baby boxes it is just a stick to try and beat up the SNP and defend England’s overlordship of Scotland.
The media are so contemptuous of the Scottish population they even tout on social media for people who have had to wait on a doctors appointment or had a long wait at A&E. It is transparent and obvious to the public what is happening. Yet such is the disdain for Scots the media think nobody sees their motives!
Never do the House Jocks or media offer an alternative policy. They attack whatever policy is in front of them. If the SNP says white, they say black. Even to this day the Labour Party want to reintroduce student fees. It is to get a ‘victory’ over the SNP it has nothing to do with our kids education or the strength of our universities. It is nothing but grubby politics to aid the country next door.

The famous Bain principle exposed the Britnats as political opportunists of the worst kind. In 2012, Willie Bain Labour, MP, stated that the Scottish Labour MPs have a convention of not supporting motions put down by the SNP at Westminster which became known as the ‘Bain Principle.’ They even deployed this when SNP placed an amendment to reintroduce the 50p tax rate on high earners! It was also Labour Party policy however, because SNP had placed the amendment before them they would not support it. Just think on that rather than support a progressive tax system to help the poorest Labour as always put party before people!
Sad to say that SNP has a Sturgeon Principle it is the exact same as Bain Principle the only difference is the SNP deploy it now, not suffer it. They use it against Alba Party by refusing to support them under any circumstances putting the party before Scotland every time.
Today ferries, by next week the House Jocks will have a new SNP Bad. The corrupt media based in Scotland will join in and just like all the ones before this latest moan, it won’t work! The problem for the Unionists is twofold. Their attacks without an alternative solution reeks of what it is, either lies or spite. They have used the same tactic for 15 years now to no avail. It seems that nobody in the entire ranks of the massed British Unionist parties has a clue how to formulate or conceive a different narrative to independence.
In England the Labour tactic to get elected is, ‘We are not as bad as the Tories so give us your vote.’ In Scotland they try the same pathetic tactic, vote for Unionism because we are not as bad as the SNP! Until they can actually come up with a positive case for the union, all their pathetic SNP bads fall on deaf ears!
Not that I want to offer any assistance to the House Jocks but can I advise that they all read the children’s fairy tale The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The story might help you become at least a credible opposition.
When a wolf actually does appear, the villagers do not believe the boy’s cries for help, and the flock is destroyed. The moral of the story is that liars will not be rewarded, even if they eventually tell the truth, no one believes them!
You have lied to the Scottish people so many times over the decades you have zero credibility. You offer us nothing new. You do not have an original thought or policy in your head. You only ever present policies that English politicians devise that are for the good of England never for the good of Scotland. Yet you wonder why you cannot win an election.
So enjoy your ferries SNP bad moan it will have zero influence in prolonging the union. It will not effect the SNP in the polls or gain you a single extra vote. I do not expect you to heed the words of the genius that was Albert Einstein he wasn’t even English, what does he know, huh?
On the contrary, their 15 years of spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt is working splendidly. The primary purpose is deflection from their own pathetic actions but if it sows doubt about independence in a small fraction of the population then it’s working as intended.
The BBC’s role in this is despicable. The ferries story surfaces right at the moment the UK Government loses all credibility in the financial markets with pension companies right on the cusp of bankruptcy. Not a coincidence.
The SNP plays the same blame game with the endless bleating of Tories bad. All that finger-pointing works beautifully at not changing anything. Actually making something work would seriously reduce the amount of time spent at the trough.
Spot on, Roddy. If they ever offered an alternative strategy that would work, we could maybe see that they had a point. Nah. It’s just anti Scottish mince as usual. Far be for me to support NS, because the SNPG listen to nobody sensible, but they are harangued into making daft, defensive decisions precisely because of the pressure from the English Nationalist parties. They are not even British; they are solely English parties because all their policies benefit England as the UK to the detriment of Scotland. As for the MSM? Establishment all the way. The English parties and the English MSM are the reasons we need to push for independence. I feel no sympathy for NS because she has had umpteen opportunities to get us out and has shied at every fence, and she has had ample opportunity to listen to good advice but has always chosen the least best alternative, but it is Scotland as a whole that they denigrate.
