Scottish Hindus subjected to Hinduphobia in SNP Scotland.

A Press release By Neil Lal on behalf of The Indian Council of Scotland

Chairman and President of The Indian Council of Scotland Neil LaL, has stated after investigation/research done by us our statistics have uncovered a continuous mantra-chant, which reflects an inequality of opportunity at every level of the public-sector domain from initial recruitment through to the concluding figures that are clearly excluding Scottish Hindus at every stage of public service deliverance.

These figures are clearly reflective of inequality and ineptness to initiate recruitment and encouragement of Hindus in Scotland to be progressive. Thus, breeding an ambience of discouragement, distain, and prevention of recruitment leading to exclusion in employment, leading Hindus into the direction unemployment oblivion.
In the public sector within the greater Glasgow area. Alarmingly, Glasgow and Renfrewshire, compared to Aberdeenshire has failed its long-established Hindu populations that have been resident in Scotland since the 1940s and earlier.

Given this fact, that Hindus felt more at home in Glasgow in an established community, it is abhorrent that their future generations have not excelled in the so-called progressive SNP Scotland. Which has only proven to be regressive for Scottish Hindus under a SNP Glasgow and Scotland. The Chairman and President of the Indian Council of Scotland, Neil Lal, has stated that if the SNP calls this a success, countless Hindus are asking, “God only knows what a failure looks like. This is a very sad day for Scotland. The First Minister should be ashamed of herself. It is clear that Hinduphobia racism is at the heart of SNP government policy.

Due to calls of Hinduphobia amongst the community, the Indian Council of Scotland undertook extensive analysis of data published by the NHS and local councils across Scotland. For example, the Hate Crime reporting support excludes the national Indian language, Hindi, in the alternative format language leaflets being available from both Glasgow City Council and Renfrewshire Council (materials exclude Hindi, but available in Arabic, English, Farsi, Mandarin, Punjabi, Polish, Romanian, Russian and Urdu). Statistically, Hindus have the lowest recruitment success rate in the greater Glasgow areas for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Glasgow City Council and Renfrewshire Council – this negative situation is not the case in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire councils and NHS Grampian.

Scottish Hindus are absolutely astonished at the negative nature of these statistics, given their academic contribution, along with Chinese and Jewish origin people, is the highest in the United Kingdom.

The SNP idea of social progression has failed in its flagship city of Glasgow, given that Aberdeenshire has recognised Hindus, and their valuable contribution to Scottish and British society – the figures reflect the Hindu achievement, unlike Glasgow’s.

Many Hindus believe that due to Indian economic success and voter appeasement they have found themselves at the epicentre of discrimination, which is showing a fair equilibrium for other religion or belief groups in Scotland. It is evident from these statistics that multiculturalism only favours the agenda determined by voting patterns of certain communities, thus resulting in appeasement giving birth to a new form of hidden discrimination, known as Hinduphobia.

The duo of Nicola Sturgeon & Humza Yousaf has been a partnership which has resulted in an internal defence mechanism to save each other and their interests at all costs. Nicola has sprinted to the aid of Humza in the past when she tackled David Coburn (the former UKIP MEP) over alleged Islamophobic comments.

Through Humza, she runs to the defence of Scotland’s Pakistani Islamic community, securing the impression that the SNP is non-discriminatory. However, the SNP radars and radio systems have only aired total silence in the defence of Hinduphobia and rampant discrimination in the SNP public sector departments.

The Hindu community have never felt more isolated, insecure, inadequate, undervalued, and underrepresented in all their time as Scottish residents and British citizens, resulting in a fear factor that has raised the question of whether there is an empirical rational in place that can even justify their position in Scottish society.”

Board member of The Indian Council of Scotland, Sarinder Joshua Duroch along with its Chairman and President Neil LaL, has expressed his heartfelt anguish at this data, asking themselves along with the board where the future heading for Scottish Indians of all faiths is, if the majority of Indians who are of the Hindu faith are enduring such abhorrent discrimination, what chance do other Indian faith minorities hold, such as Indian Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Catholics and many others.

Duroch is a third generation, Glasgow born Scot, who wonders what the future holds for his Scottish born children, in the event of an independent Scotland run by SNP arising under the domination of such unjust, discriminatory and unfairness of directly targeted statistics, such as the ones we have uncovered. We are appalled!

Suresh Mangalagiri who is General Secretary of the OFBJP UK Congratulated The Indian Council of Scotland under Neil LaL leadership for there work in making the Hinduphobia come out into the open which prior no one recognised. The UK Government needs to prioritize this issue to serve Indian communities in the best way.

Suresh Mangalagiri, along with Dhruva Kumar reiterated zero tolerance for anti India and urges UK government to sign up for zero tolerance for Anti India Policy.

Mr. Neil Lal has been voicing this issue for a long time, unfortunately it was ignored by current incumbent SNP
Government and their ministers.

  • Can we have an investigation into “schemopbobia”? How many ordinary folk from Scottish Council House/Housing Association schemes are represented in the Scottish Parliament and what is the Scot govt solution to the numerous problems of this minority group – other than trying to get them to aspire to middle classness. I’m fed up with all this division amongst the working classes of all hues or creeds. It’s time we all woke up and started to fight the ongoing class war together.

  • Disgraceful. Sturgeon is actually allowing her friendship with Humza to enable the suppression of Indian rights in Scotland. Time this was made history.

    • Strugeon is a destroyer, vindictive and unable to unite anybody, she represents her narrow narcissist cult , a mafia of the mediocre . Sturgeons cabal are totally out of control settling scores against their perceived enemies with the consent of the supreme Leader. Is this the Leader we want , we need someone who will win hearts and minds no this dud.
      Desolve the Union.

  • Has anyone questions why no representation of any Hindus in Scot gov . All helps goes to the Muslim community in the name of BAME .
Hindu community that contributes highly to this nations GDP treated like second class citizens

  • It is common knowledge that many of the Pakistani extraction Muslim community hate, despise or simply do not like Indian extraction Hindu community. Clearly there are exceptions to this hatred, distrust and or dislike but difference in religion, the partition of India into East and West Pakistan, and the huge slaughter back at the time of partition colour people’s views.

Religion and politics, sectarianism, racism cuts into communities around the world and emigrants from around the world bring their social divisions with them to wherever they settle.

It I think goes without saying that Humza Yousaf and the SNP are perceived to be very much a pro Muslim, pro Pakistani extraction party. It’s a big vote winner for people like Sturgeon who represent constituencies like Glasgow southside with big Muslim populations. And of course, as was shown by Yousaf in his malign partisan attack on the Little Scholars Nursery using the influences of governmental influence our Yousaf is not frightened to use his influence to play the racist card and more.

No wonder then that Indian extraction Hindus feel discriminated by what could be described as the Muslim mob in Government. And that is a problem when groups, special interest groups gain power in a party or an organisation. Indeed, the same is now true of the minority Trans – Woke group that wields huge influence in the SNP and where every one has to turn their lives upside down to accommodate a few, a very few, disturbed folk .

Bigotry will always be a problem. It is in the bones of human nature. Catholic vs Protestant was our last big division, still maybe is. But division from the Indian sub continent has come here too – and I’d say Yousaf has a dose of it in large measure. He represents in all to many ways a community apart. And with the Little Scholars Nursery and the interventions of Educational Inspectorate bodies and a compliant and frankly corrupt newspaper to mount entrapment false flag activities, I think has declared clearly how he operates – and it’s not nice, not nice at all.

  • Great work by The Indian Council of Scotland.
The Indian Council of Scotland are the only major organisation that sticks up for the Indian community. Mr Neil LaL we thank you for your leadership, public service and in giving us hope against this SNP Government. Sturgeon should be ashamed of herself.

  • This is a great investigation by The Indian Council of Scotland. Hinduphobia is not acceptable. The SNP must be held accountable and especially Humza Yousaf and Nicola Sturgeon.

Douglas Ross also did not meet with The Indian Council of Scotland and sign the No anti India and No Hinduphobia policy by ICOS. Shame on DRoss also. He must resign and ask for forgiveness. I have met Neil LaL a few times and what a wonderful helpful person he is. Keep up the good work Neil. The Indian Community is right behind you. You are right that Pam Gosal and Sandesh Gulhane do not represent the Indian community and you Neil LaL do represent us.

    .

  • It’s a good research on Hinduphobia & the way Scottish govt. treats Indians/Hindus.
Why creating so much hatred for Hindus where Hindus are most peace loving? What’s Scottish govt motive behind this hatred? Is it vote bank? It’s a shame where in 21st century this kinda discrimination exists.

  • The Elitist Scotland found that although only 3% of people in Scotland attend private schools and even less attend elite universities, around half of the top jobs in Scotland are filled by people from private schools/elite university backgrounds.

In addition, Professor Michael Hechter in his research book on UK Internal Colonialism found that Scotland is subject to a ‘Cultural Division of Labour’, and hence that the rise of the independence movement reflects the ethnic solidarity of marginalised Scots speakers.

  • What a great investigation done by The Indian Council of Scotland and especially backed by evidence. This is the first time Hinduphobia with evidence has gone National in the UK and through a major Newspaper and the media stations. Great work to The Indian Council of Scotland and truly great Leadership by Mr Neil LaL who has supported all Indian origin communities and supports our Motherland

It is wonderful that the OFBJP General Secretary a Mr Suresh Mangalagiri along with Mr Dhruva Kumar have come out and supported and congratulated The Indian Council of Scotland and its leader. No one in Scotland has the guts like Mr Neil LaL to take our Indian community to new heights.

We the Hindu Mandirs Mandirs group fully support The Indian Council of Scotland and Neil LaL who also is endorsed by the OFBJP.

SNP should be ashamed of themselves and especially Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf.

Pam Gosal and Gulhane also do not get our support and we will not vote for them. They have done nothing for our community.

  • Alf Baird’s comment shows that there is no such thing in Scotland as “equal representation for all”. Strangely, those speaking Scots are left far behind those speaking “standard” English. Colony? Not half!
