We are now very much in the election period. Here, at Through A Scottish Prism, we present a first opportunity to meet some of the Alliance To Liberate Scotland candidates for the upcoming Holyrood election of May 7th.
We have Joe Smith from the Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh & Tranent constituency, Terry Howson from the Ettrick, Roxburgh & Berwickshire constituency, also Garry McClay from the Kilmarnock & Irvine Valley constituency.
These three independence-supporting individuals are first-time parliamentary candidates. We invited them to come and speak with us and to tell us what motivated them to stand in the first place and why did they chose ATLS as their party. With so many of us today so frustrated at the lack of movement on independence, it is fortunate for us that there are still some brave souls who are willing to stand for election to give the independence-supporting electorate a party that has a single mission, Independence,nothing less!”
They each give us their reasons for being prepared to put their heads above the parapet. Hear how the “Independence, nothing else” resonates with every one of them and the people they have spoken to recently. That reaction from the people in their constituency and was key in their decision to join the Alliance To Liberate Scotland.

Concerning to read today of the Iranian at the door of Faslane in our very own backyard. Most certainly for most Scots it would have maybe given many Scots a pause for thought. But what was it about, what does it mean.
The fog of war is all around. Was it the Iranians sending a message. Was it the Brits sending a message. We got that message before with Iraq, WMD and the UK only half an hour from attack.
The Iraqi WMD however turned out to be a fairy story but it got El Tel Blair to take us into the Iraqi invasion disaster. Could this be more of the same. Could in fact the attack on Deigo Marcia be more of the same. The missiles did not reach there target but did they exist.
WMD Mark 2, come on and join in Prime Minister Starmer.
Or what about the lightning strike to decapitate and incapacitate Iran. The Big Buffoon has declared success with him even giving the military strategy has rip roaring a score of 12 out of 10. All objectives achieved. Iran has been flattened by superior American military might.
Only thing is that it doesn’t actually seem to be true, From what we can see, drones and missiles land on Israel, Qatar, Bahrain and Dubai and three weeks in the straits of Hormuz closed. That isn’t Scotch Mist spin. The oil is closed off and it certainly doesn’t seem like the Big Buffoon has achieved his objectives regardless of what he says.
Say one thing and do another. Say he’s won, say he’s winding down, whilst at the same time calling so many of the Europeans, our selves included, cowards who he will not forget. Ah well, a few WMD ballistics, or the threat of them might change minds, might give Starmer to move from humanitarian bombing to more active engagement.
But we don’t know. Is Trump trying to drag the UK and the rest of Europe into the conflict now that the most powerful military in the World has done its bit and won the war.
Me, I just worry that the so called win is not the win and that we might be in for the long haul unless someone delivers and off ramp.
And then when you look at the shambles that is the Scottish Parliament with its deadwood rotten government, you realise that Trump is half Scottish. Its a frightening thought but at least Trump didn’t shut down the oil in his own back yard like we did.
