Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Shed Seven - Bully Boy

I know which side I am on.

Tomorrow, Charles Saxe-Gotha Coburg née Windsor née Mountbatten becomes Charles III of England. Perhaps like his mother before him after the main ceremony and in some backroom away from any public witness he will take the oath to Scotland. That will allow him to declare himself Charles, King of Scots. Very different than King of Scotland. Once again this will not get much of a public airing. The last thing the English Imperialists want to do is explain Scottish sovereignty versus English sovereignty. It might give not just Scots but also Anglos and Welsh ideas that could tip the applecart of imperialism that pollutes the British Isles.

In Westminster Abbey itself where this affront to democracy takes place there will be lots of division. There is very much a pecking order that needs to be observed. Depending on how the establishment rank you will determine where you sit. Windsors and hingers on at the front, then the Dukes, Duchess, minor royals and concubines next. Then the Lords, Dames, Knights, politicians and flunkies. There will, of course, be a couple of well researched’ ordinary folk’ in position where cameras can easily find them to paint the illusion that our new sovereign lord cares about the peasants! As soon as the cameras stop rolling, they will quickly be ushered out of the door and sent back to from wherever they came. There will, of course, be interviews for these ordinary folk to reinforce the lie that we are all in it together!

There will be pomp and ceremony, crowns and tiaras, diamonds and pearls galore The new King and Queen will travel by gold carriage. Soldiers, sailors and air displays will fill the streets and skies of London. English commentators and journos will extol it all and spew sycophancy over the UK airwaves. The English media will kid themselves, their readers, listeners and viewers that the world envies everything about the new King of England and his coronation.

They will try to convince their audiences that this is a sign of a strong union. That it shows just how wonderful Anglo/British democracy is and how we love our monarchy and our union equally throughout the English/British Empire!

What they won’t say of course, is that it is a symbol of English overlordship over Scotland, Wales and the six occupied counties of Ireland. What they will never admit is that as long as we have a monarch there will be divisions by wealth, by title, by birth and the Celtic nations will remain the chattels of England and its new monarch!

There is a very exclusive Anglo club and you are not in it, and you never will be in it. As long as that tiny group of Anglos control the establishment the non-productive spivs can remain at the top of the pile while the productive proletariat fund that supremacy. All the time the propaganda spews out telling you how lucky you are to be in such a benign and democratic Greater England.

There will be no mention of Jamaica, austerity, food banks, child poverty, house repossessions the widening poverty gap or of Julian Assange rotting in an English prison for telling the truth about American war crimes. Everything will be gushy over the top Anglo self-congratulatory vomit inducing breast beating claptrap. Their self-adulation will permeate every gushing sentence.

Meanwhile, in Glasgow a crowd of thousands of ordinary Scots, indigenous and new Scots alike will gather and march for Scottish self-determination. From Kelvingrove Park in the west end of the best city on this planet to the Glasgow Green in the east end of the dear green place this mass of Scottish independence supporting folk will unite as one voice for Scottish independence.

After arriving at the Green, the crowd will be treated to a plethora of pro-Scottish independence speeches by a host of diverse folks. Not one has a royal title!

The people attending AUOB will come from all over Scotland and beyond. It will encompass all ages, classes, demographics and political viewpoints. Unlike the jamboree in London it is not by invitation only. It is not funded by taxpayers. It includes not excludes. There is no quota allocation to pretend to the TV cameras that everyone is part of the ceremony and rite. That is because, every single person at the Glasgow AUOB goes there as an equal. There is no pecking order in the Scottish independence struggle. Those marching are all equal, and are all under one banner.

Should you want to be at the front of the march, turn up to Kelvin Way early. If you want to march in the middle to feel the atmosphere, go ahead stand where you like. Similarly, if you want to be at the back to see how big is the crowd is, feel free to do so.

The only requirement is that you believe in the sovereignty of the Scottish people and to the independence of our nation. You do not need to be of blue blood to participate. You do not even need to be a Scot to be there. You do not need to be from a certain section of the community or industry. Trade unionists, company directors, unemployed all equally welcome. Protestants, Catholics, Baptists, Wee Free, Anglicans, Muslims, Jews, Hindus people of all religions and none are welcome.

Unlike the London event those in Glasgow will care about and discuss, Jamaica, austerity, food banks, child poverty, house repossessions, the widening poverty gap and the miscarriage that sees Julian Assange in prison. Not only will these topics be discussed there will be a desire to end all of them at the earliest possible moment.

There will be no TV cameras and no pomp and ceremony. No crowns or tiaras or golden coaches. There will just be a quiet determination. Our march may not be seen by billions around the world. Our wonderful speakers may not have their speeches shown to the public. That doesn’t deter us from attending. It makes us all the more determined to attend if we can!

However, the message to the privileged sitting in Westminster Abbey and to everyone all around the world will be heard loud and clear. Scotland is once more on the march for independence. The ruling party in Scotland may indeed be in decline, however the desire to see our nation regain its independence has never been stronger. We will either repair or replace the political party. Nothing will make us want to replace our desire for independence.

Those marching on Saturday in Glasgow are the people who are the people that are saying we Scots, never again will be subjected to an imposed English monarch or an English ruling class.  We the Scots are sovereign not an English King or Queen. Charles may indeed for the here and now be our Head of State. However, the day is coming when we will elect a head of state not have one imposed upon us.

There are two gatherings, there are two views, in two different countries. Two different views of the world we live in. Two different ideologies and two different perspectives of the world.

I know which side I am on. How about you?

Here’s to a Scottish Republic!

  • Everyone except the Greens will be going as an equal. In fact the Greens will probably all be away to London to hang out with all the other paedophiles

  • But you won’t be at the March in Glasgow will you Roddy ? Because like Wings , Jeggit and others you choose to live in a Foreign Country instead of with your own Countrymen in Scotland. (If you are going to be here i will look for you though, presumably you will be one of the hunner’s of economically illiterate old men with massive chips on their shoulders. ps Haven’t you heard of the McCrone Report ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p072j890

    • Where the fuck were you between 1968 and 2014 when economic illiterates like me were building a party and movement that nearly brought us independence?
Me and my generation built the SNP into an unbeatable force that Sturgeon and ill educated buffoons like you have now destroyed. Where TF were you when the hard graft was getting done?
Today I still do more for our cause as I did then and more than you ever have done you pathetic little pipsqueak!

      • Great article Roddy-have shared widely to my fellow Scottish diasporians. The downside of running an excellent blog seems to be that it attracts the nutters like this Iain.

    • I’m curious Iain. Does your theory that Scots impair their right to be Scottish by living abroad extend to English settlers who presumeably become less English once they’ve moved to Scotland? Please give me a summary of the rights they lose, and explain to me why they apparently can no longer stand up for the rights of their home nation. I’ll pass it along to the thousands of English folks who have moved here, that they are now inferior English citizens. They’ll have to be told.

Given how many Scots families were barbarically exiled from Scotland from the 19th Century right through to modern Scots who are forced to make a choice between penury and lifelong underachievement, or a new life in a faraway land, it’s strikes me that Scotland has more occassion, entitlement, indeed obligation than anywhere else on the planet to listen to the voices of our Scottish diaspora, and the generations of our missing children.

I’d rather listen to one of them than some snivelling house-jock who’s content to see Scotland plundered, eploited, and sold down the river.

With regard to your BBC version of the McCrone Report, from memory, it contains at least one bare faced lie, that McCrone never meant the report to be secret. We know that’s an outright lie because report was released with the contempory covering letter attached the report and signed by McCrone stated the polar opposite. But I’m sure you already knew that, and so did the State Propagandists, and indeed Gavin McCrone himself.

Thank’s very much for the “update”, but I’ll take the 1974 version of McCrone, when McCrone was free to be candid in a report intended to have minimal circulation behind closed doors in Westminster. Not the “damage limitation” version of McCrone, improvised falsehood and propaganda designed to temper the scandal of the grotesque and calculated theft of Scotland’s wealth and prosperity.

Hope you enjoy yourself tomorrow Iain, drooling over the coronation of a foreign King, (by your own definition of “foreign” Iain), who’s brought nothing to Scotland except his COVID infection, as you and Humza crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

I plan to enjoy myself too, taking to streets with my friends, family and Indy brethern, saltire in my hand and rebellion in my heart, and joyfully participating in the animating contest of freedom, right in heart of in the second city of your crumbling Empire.

  • Aye Roddy, the twa events on Seturday Mey 6 illustrates that colonialism indeed involves ‘two psychical and cultural realms”.

In oor case ane is aboot Scottish soveranety an independence (i.e. liberation) the ither is aboot mair British Imperial Crown rule and colonial doun-hauden (oppression).

Scots fowk can tak thair pick whit roadie thay want tae chuise, but thay shuirly cannae be baith – thon’s a ‘cultural illusion’ and a ‘false persona’ built upon the ‘myth’ o a union, an a treaty aye abuised an nivver respectit.

  • “I plan to enjoy myself too, taking to streets with my friends, family and Indy brethern, saltire in my hand and rebellion in my heart, and joyfully participating in the animating contest of freedom, right in heart of in the second city of your crumbling Empire.”

LOL Go on then lets see you publish how many you think will actually turn up for the latest pointless walkaboot and we will then see whose Empire it really is that’s crumbling or not ? Or are you too wee and too feart ?

  • perfect description of everything.

we should all enjoy the day with a united view regardless of party orientation, which at the end of the day, should matter nought when we achieve Indy (sooner rather later for we ‘oldies’)

  • A good weekend to bury bad news. Where have I heard that before. Or introduce sneaky new laws to weaken what’s left or our democracy while everyone’s eyes are elsewhere

    • No its not just you , its apparently blocked everyone from posting after a lot of bad feedback to an article written by Pete Pishfart of Perth’s inate ramblings , its clearly a tool of the SNP and ll dissent has to be stopped otherwise people might wake up and start thinking for themselves and that would never do. Its been noted on Wings Comments yesterday too.

  • There was a wee Asian lassie standing outside the Beresford and waving a saltire; she was so happy when folks waved back at her. See also the lass with the drum at Blythswood Square.

  • Great march, fantastic number of marchers, and great speakers at the Glasgow Green.

And you know what is most encouraging of all is that despite all of the colonialists efforts, their media control, their propaganda, their malign activities, their hollowing out of the SNP, they have not extinguished the desire for independence.

Yesterday in Glasgow showed it. Over 20,000 people on the streets on a sleepy May Saturday – and the establishment know it.

We will prevail. Our day will without doubt come.

So let us take heart and redouble our efforts united to achieve our goal, with or without the SNP in the grip of its current Vichy configuration.

  • I fear that we could threaten independence again by linking it with anti-monarchy. Just as it is a mistake of greens/snp to make GRR/trans rights a matter of orthodoxy for all independent supporters, so it would be a mistake to make anti-monarchy an absolute orthodoxy. An independent Scotland can debate and decide who it wants as head of state- it is a valid belief to believe scotland could be independent yet retain a monarchy. If Scotland does not achieve independence, as we saw with brexit, it doesn’t matter what Scotland thinks of the monarchy, it won’t change anything. Keep the message simple – independence then democratic decisions.

    • Poll after poll shows that Scots have little or no affinity to the English Crown. Those that do tend to be either incomers from the south or a demographic that will bever support their country of birth. If people had taken your advice on the Stonewall poison then GRRB would now be on the statute. If we had listened to the Wheesht for Indy mob, Sturgeon and her ‘husband’ would still be corrupting and polluting the independence movement. I and Prism will always address the issues that affect Scotland. Pretending certain things are OK or can be handled later is exactly why our movement was conned for past 8 years.
