If we want to talk about how many words, there are in the English language, there are two key numbers to remember: about 170,000 words in current use, and 20,000-30,000 words used by each individual person. With that said I am struggling to find the words in English that adequately describe the current political situation in the United Kingdom.
I think the only appropriate way to describe it is in Scots, a complete clusterbourach. Three Prime Ministers in 7 weeks, by Friday it will be five Prime Ministers in 7 years. Not one of them can even be described as a towering political giant or even a competent manager.
David Cameron the oily Old Etonian started the rapid decline of the entire political structures of the UK. Let us be clear Brexit and all that has happened since has harmed every aspect of UK civil and political life. Throw in a global pandemic, the death of a respected monarch, a land war on European soil creating an unravelling of the US global hegemony, and we can truly say we are living in strange and dangerous times.
Many of us in the independence new media warned that the Truss Premiership was going to be a disaster. As always we were ignored and traduced by the corrupt British media and luvvies. The voices of the predominantly right-wing UK media were all behind Liz Truss and her free-market insanity. In fairness Rushi Sunak told us exactly what would happen if she was allowed to carry out her hairbrained scheme. Now after her 45 day wrecking ball leadership he is likely to be the one that has to clear up the mess.
It is difficult to express just how much damage Truss inflicted on the already weakening UK economy. London’s FTSE index fell 4.97% during her 45 days, which accounts for over two-thirds of its losses year-to-date. The pension funds nearly collapsed and were only saved by dramatic last minute intervention of the Bank of England.
Political and economic chaos in the UK could also weigh on stocks and other assets in the long term, strategists say. To put it into layman’s language if the UK was a PLC it would now be in the hands of outside administrators. As it is we have to accept another English Tory MP to guide the sinking ship on towards the iceberg.
What is absolutely certain is this, those that created the turmoil, and those disaster capitalists that profited from the falling markets will be much wealthier and it will be us, the ordinary punters that as always have to pay the bill for the latest English politicians stupidity.
The usual suspects in Scotland that declared Boris Johnson needed to go were the same ones that a few years back said he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. They then went on to tell us how Liz Truss was to be the greatest PM since the blessed Margaret. To only a few days later telling us Liz had to go. If Boris had indeed stayed in the race this time, they would have no doubt been hailing him as the Churchillian figure returning to save the day and how grateful we should be to have him back in Number 10.
When it comes to Scottish Unionists, there is nothing that will ever have them admit the obvious truth. The British Union is a failed experiment that is no longer fit for purpose. Westminster could demand the lives of every first born in Scotland and still these people would cling to their Butcher’s Aprons and support for the Yookay.
Those that sit in newspaper offices and radio and TV studios throughout Scotland are similar. Nothing will ever induce them to tell the Scottish people the truth. They are all wedded to English supremacy over Scotland. Their monthly salary and mortgage payment are more important to them than the welfare and well being of their fellow 5.5 million Scots.
They too know that the Union is a failed enterprise sadly, nothing will ever permit them to tell the reality to the people. These are the same people and ‘journalists’ that can only tell how bad Scotland is at everything. What they have never done, nor ever will do is give you a positive case for the union. For Scotland that case does not exist. The positive case for the Union can only be given to the English people. “Scottish resources keep England in relative comfort.” That is the only positive case for the union, and it only applies to England and the English! The media in Scotland are cowards and liars and history will judge them badly.
What of our politicians? As the HMS UK ploughs into the metaphorical iceberg what are they doing? Sturgeon, Blackford & Co are shouting for a UK General Election and a continuation of the failed Union experiment. Like the corrupt journalists that pollute Scotland our Independence Party itself has been corrupted by Westminster. They have settled down in London and are not yet ready to abandon ship and their first class cabins.
The Scottish lifeboats are ready to launch. They have everything on board that is required for a new nation. The people are all prepared and anxious to board the safety of those craft and strike out for shore. Sadly Sturgeon wants permission from the Captain of HMS UK before she leads the Scots to safety. Insane as it sounds it is the reality. You don’t ask permission Nicola, you get us all on to the lifeboat and quickly! That is your job, nothing else! Gaining a pat on the head from the latest English Tory PM doesn’t help your nation get free. You have forgotten that the Scots gave you one job only?
We already know that whoever becomes our next English PM later today or by this Friday that permission will be denied. I refer you to the Positive case for the Union, for English viewers only.
The English PM expects that every man woman and child will do their duty for Mother England and go down with all hands on board. That he and his fellow officers, parasites if you prefer have helicopters standing by to whisk them off to safety. What happens to the Scottish passengers is neither here nor there. They have also emptied the ship of all its gold and wealth that will be the only things joining them from the sinking HMS UK in the flight to safety. Scotland, the Scots, the Welsh and Northern Irish along with the English poor are merely collateral damage, nothing more.
There are no more excuses for Sturgeon. She could have us in the lifeboats by close of play today. All she has to do is, recall all her MPs from Westminster and summon all other Scottish MPs too. Do not take part in this made in England farce at Westminster. The icy waters are already lapping up to our chests. Collect all Scottish MSPs, Councillors, Trade Union leaders together into one body. Convene a Scottish Constitutional Convention and declare it our intention to leave the sinking HMS British Union, citing our Claim of Right as your guiding principle and legal authority.
Alert the rest of the UK, the rest of the World of our decision. We the sovereign people of Scotland have made our choice. It really is that simple. Only stupidity and cowardice are making it complicated. Sturgeon loves to say “there are no quick fixes to independence!” It is just her way to kick the can down the road again and again! Yes, there is a quick fix Nicola. I have just shown you how easy it is to achieve. The Union is so vulnerable and so weak they will not be able to stop you. England’s weakness is Scotland’s opportunity. Grasp it today! We will never have a better opportunity. Our opponents are floundering and drowning. It is time to put us onto the SS Scotland lifeboat! It is time for Scotland to rejoin the world!
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
The time is right. England has no mandate.
Bring back our MPs, assemble our MPs, MSPs and our local government Council representives all and let us take back control.
The mandate is there and available. Let’s do it.
Pissing into the wind unfortunately, sturgeon is not going to lead us anywhere.
Unfortunately, without the annual public spending subsidy/ fiscal transfer from the rUK Scottish public spending would collapse. The SNP have no plans and no idea how to deal with that as their latest ‘paper’ on the ‘economics’ of independence clearly shows.
Wow you unionists give yourself away so easily. Same old tropes you cannae do this, you cannae dae that, too poor too stupid you are all SNP.Away and educate yourself if you want to be taken seriously on here. Research me for a start, this site and your arguments and do not waste the time of me or the more enlightened and far smarter patrons of this site than yourself.
We’re nae too poor to be independent just too poor to afford the level of public spending we enjoy as part of the UK. If you’ve any ‘research’ that shows differently I’d love to see it. I don’t think any exists. Sorry.
You talk utter nonsense. I have told you to go away and educate yourself before coming on here spewing English unionist BS. I want politely ask you again.
“Unfortunately, without the annual public spending subsidy/ fiscal transfer from the rUK Scottish public spending would collapse”.
Ok. I’ll bite. Just where does your proclaimed “fiscal transfer” originate from, Chris? How is it created, to be “transferred”? I ask because we all know the UK has a “fiscal deficit”, so it can’t be because “rUK”, because they are also skint.
Over to you…
I don’t think Chris’s research goes beyond the Daily Mail headlines. I heard there was a search party. Somewhere there is a village missing it’s idiot!
I remember a time when you be more polite with his type Roddy thankfully no more we’ve all had enough of them
Well Said Barrheadboy
I just can’t understand some folk
I’m a proud Scott, But –
I want my child to Starve
I want my grandparents to Freeze And Starve
I want my country Raped of her resources
I want to keep Nuclear WMD’s on the Clyde.. even when a Nuclear war is Close
…. I want to keep worshiping Westminster who sent B. Johnson to Ukraine to sabotage Peace talks ( or was that his Masters in Washington that Ordered him to go )
The list of the So called proud Scott, goes on
Imagine living with a mindset like that.
I never thought of the ‘reverse’ attitude before – thank you . I shall use that again and again!
Everything, yes everything that the nuSNP high command do and utter is designed to deflect from their utter neglect of their single key task – achieving Independence. We need to be rid of this parcel of rogues, and the sooner the better. I could not be more disgusted or feel more betrayed with their cowardly ineptitude. Come on Sturgeon, come on Swinney, come on Blackford, come on Wishart, come on any one of you and stand up now for independence.
Nothing to do with this, but, yet again, we have autumn, etc Watch from Scotlland and nary a Scottish voice.
Appalling!
