ALBA TO HOST FIRST EVER CANDIDATES CONFERENCE
SALMOND TO SET OUT CASE FOR INDEPENDENCE SUPERMAJORITY
The Alba Party, Scotland’s fastest-growing political party will host its first-ever Candidates Conference on Saturday 3 April at 12.00 hrs.
Alex Salmond will set out the case for the Independence Supermajority to move Scotland towards independence and why #BothVotesYES is the way to break the political “log jam” over Scotland’s constitutional future.
The conference which will be held virtually will bring together all 32 Alba Party candidates to discuss and adopt policy positions, on Education, Economic Recovery after COVID and Women and Equalities, which will be rolled out during the course of the election campaign.
Speaking in advance of the Conference Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, Alba’s candidate for Central Scotland, who will chair the event said:
“Only one week after the launch of Alba this event will demonstrate not just the breadth and depth of Alba’s candidates but the fact that it is Alba that is doing the serious thinking to address the issues the people of Scotland care about on Economic Recovery, Education and Women and Equalities.
“Alba may be the ‘new kid on the block’ but already we are setting the positive agenda for Independence and change at this Election.”
