Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Chase McCormick - Into the Night

Through A Scottish Prism Live Recording.Sunday 18th September

We had promised to record Through A Scottish Prism live at Yestival this Sunday. As you all know the event has been postponed until 8th October. Due to other commitments, not least the Alba Party Conference being the weekend following we at TASP are regrettably not going to be able to attend the rescheduled Yestival event.

We know from the many comments on the blogsite and on social media lots of you were planning to join us for the recording in George Square. Under the circumstances that of course, is no longer possible.

Some of the Prism team will be joining me in the Square at noon on Sunday. It is a symbolic gesture to say to our opponents we are still here, and we are never going to stop until our nation is independent. We will not be intimidated, bullied or frightened away. Whatever obstacles you place in front of us, we will jump over, push through or just ignore them. Our resolve will never weaken.

We felt, this was not enough. We had made a commitment to you that we would have a Through A Scottish Prism broadcast you could be a part of on Sunday, 18th, September. Thanks to Robert Slavin owner of, The Eagle Inn, 351 Bank Street, Coatbridge, ML5 1EJ. we can still do just that!

Robert has kindly offered us his premises and cooperation to try in our little way to compensate some of you over the disappointment of the Yestival postponment.

From 2 pm this Sunday the Through A Scottish Prism Show will be recording a live streaming event from the Eagle Inn. It will be slightly different from the usual format. The normal weekly show will still go ahead at noon as always. This event in The Eagle Inn will be like Question Time, minus the unionist bias! You the members of the YES Movement/public will ask the questions of the panel.

Just turn up on the day, write down your question, and the panel will answer. I will be joined by some of my regulars, Yvonne, Eva, Sara and Phil. (It stands to reason you cannot have a Prism in Coatbridge without the Coatbridge Cavalier!)

The show will last an hour or so it is all dependent on you the audience. The police and GCC didn’t take into account your feelings when they cancelled Yestival. We think that is wrong.

So we would like to offer this as a small token of our respect for you the grassroots of our independence movement. As long as you have questions, you want answered we will be there!

It would also help if those of you committed to joining us on Sunday would indicate to us so we can ensure enough seating, etc. Bring a pen!

See you Sunday.

Saor Alba gu brath.

  • Ahh Roddy we need all the troops at Freedom Square on the 8th of October. You said yourself last Monday that it isnt good enough to be there in Spirit and that Independence is down to each and every individual who is willing to put in the effort. You also said rightly that if you are genuine about your desire for independence then cancel any alternative arrangements you may have made this Sunday and be in the Square! Cmon Roddy we need the TASP there on the Square.

      • I see there are reports coming in of another person in Scotland being arrested. This time it relates to an individual found in Duthie Park, Aberdeen to be is possession of some eggs.

Seems that police have arrested foresaid individual for being in possession of ” projectiles ”

Not sure how being in possession of eggs can constitute possession of projectiles. It is not a crime, or at least it wasn’t I thought to have eggs. Similar to someone carrying a blank piece of paper being arrested for having the means to cause offense. Or what about someone shouting to Prince Andrew that he was a sick old man. Or of the peaceful, priorly agreed Calton march being stopped and broken up with police reading the Riot Act.

This type of stuff is straight out of the Nazi playbook. The Brownshirts are out on the streets. There is no law. Only the Jack Boot of Police Scotland and the rest of the Nazi machine.

(Post Script – and yes prior to and during WW2 some of the Royals were openly expressed Nazi supporters )
