Webcom Radio is Now Playing: The Twisted Melons - Heartbuzz

Through A Scottish Prism 26/02/23

FROM NOON SUNDAY.

I am joined this week by Eva Comrie, Yvonne Ridley and Phil Boswell. We discuss the main topics of the week. The big talking point, of course, is the leadership contest for the SNP. We give you an update on our proposed Unity Hustings!

Three contenders, Ash Regan, Katie Forbes and Humza Yousaf. The rhetoric this week from the SNP payroll has been reminiscent of a Tory leadership hatefest. Gone are the days of 2014 togetherness. The attacks on Kate Forbes because of her honest held views have been truly disgusting. Her Christian faith and honesty have been used as a weapon against her. It seems the payroll vote prefers lies to truth. Eight years of lies have seen to that.

Ash Regan has been attacked it seems for being too focussed on independence, go figure! Her inviting Kirk Torrance an ex-SNP strategist from the SNP’s halcyon days of 2010-2015 caused much uproar amongst the snowflakes. The same people that remained silent when Sturgeon appointed Murray Foote the lifelong British Unionist Labour Party member and author if the VOW were incandescent at Kirk’s appointment, again go figure!

While Kate was being mauled for suggesting had she been an MSP at the time of the Same Sex Marriage legislation her Christian conscience would have precluded her from supporting the Bill. It was revealed that Humza Yousaf had organised to be absent from Holyrood as the vital vote was being held. He had apparently explained to Alex Salmond that his religious beliefs would prevent him supporting the government. While Nicola Sturgeon, Mhairi Black, the twitter yoof, and Lesley Riddoch were all beside themselves with Kate’s honesty, Humza’s skullduggery didn’t perturb them in the least! Dare I say it, go figure!

Despite Nicola Sturgeon and the Greens promising not to interfere in the leadership contest, both did! A truly despicable intervention by Sturgeon that breaks the SNP code of conduct. She should be disciplined, sadly, she won’t be.

Why is Murrell, under police investigation allowed to be in charge of this election process? Bad enough his wife has trashed one candidate and is still hovering trying to manipulate the outcome.Surely someone under suspicion of malfeasance is nit fit to oversee such an important election?

The Greens warning if SNP members do not select the Green Party’s choice Humza they will walk out of the coalition agreement. The tail wagging the dog.

No independence till 2050 says Humza’s big supporters Stewart Mcdonald and Alan Smyth. Empty supermarket shelves, what no more carrots? Shamina Beguin and other topics events are discussed. Not forgetting two viewers questions all discussed and answered by your panel favourites!

Help me beat the censors.

Since I first expressed my opposition to this entire GRA nonsense I have found myself being banned and blocked on social media platforms. Even here many people who have subscribed to my blogs no longer receive notifications when I post a new blog.It has grown worse since February last year when I made my views as a peacenik clear and refused to join in with the war mongers and their Russophobia. I have opposed wars my entire life and will not for the sake of popularity jettison my principles. If you agree with my musings in these blogs I would ask that you share my blogs wherever you can on social media and help me beat the censors and war mongers.

  • Roddy anyone who watches you excellent show each week knows who accepted your offer of a hustings, the best we can expect from the other two is some lame excuse for not taking part, because they fear the truth, that in itself should be enough to convince those with a vote who they need to vote for, personally I believe the majority of the SNP membership know that and will vote accordingly, what scares me is as Stalin once said ”It’s not who votes that counts it’s who counts the votes”

    • Pleased to hear one of the contenders running for Scotland’s new First Minister has accepted your invitation. I wonder if the two other invitees will accept or acknowledge? Eitherways, look forward to watching.

Exciting times… now stand up and say Yes!
