This week I am joined by Lloyd Quinan, Eva Comrie and Yvonne Ridley. We had lots to review including and especially Pete Wishart’s conversion to Plan B. despite years of attacking and blocking anyone that dared to mention Plebiscite elections or a new strategy! Pete now wants everyone to think it was always his idea! Not everyone is a daft as you Pete!
Humza tells the unionists and everyone else he still wants a Section 30 but doesn’t think he will ever receive one from any English PM. He does though believe we Scots would vote in favour of an independence proposal. The problem is Humza refuses to put in place the circumstances to make that happen. Party before country everyone for him!
Karen Adams told the National this week that Humza Yousaf has ” breathed new life into the independence movement. I ask the panel do you agree with Karen or do you think Humza is the kiss of death to the movement in the short term.
Meanwhile, in other news to be reviewed, Anas Sarwar has gone from opposing the ‘Rape Clause’ and supporting wholeheartedly the abomination that is the GRRB to polar opposite positions on both. Proving Johann Lamont correct when she said British Labour in Scotland is nothing more than a branch office for their English overlords!
Poster Global censoring the Alba Party Sunak the oil stealer posters gets the wrath of the panel. We are supposed to live in a democracy. Has censorship and cancel culture gone too far and how do we row it back?
South Lanarkshire Labour controlled Council try a mafioso type protection racket demanding ‘ security money’ to let Alba Party have use of Rutherglen Town Hall. Both Alba and panel give a response.
Congratulations are not often handed out to the Scottish Government these days. However, we congratulate them on reaching a fair pay settlement with Scotland’s Junior doctors. Perhaps Steve Barclay should lift up the phone to Scottish Government for a few tips on how to negotiate!
We also note that all three Celtic nation’s schoolkids once again out outperformed the oppressors schoolkids in exam results. Time we started using our bigger brains and got rid of our imperial masters, don’t you think?
Our last item was a most enjoyable discussion in the surge in the Yes vote in Wales.

Lloyd is perfectly correct. Social segregation was and remains rife in Scotland. Growing up in 1960s Edinburgh I saw this every weekend. Masses of state school kids crammed into smaller playing fields. We played football, the peoples game. Next door over a big steel fence, were the private school kids playing rugby, and in summer, cricket in their fine whites. ‘We’ considered these English sports. Thon folk sounded different tae us tae, much mair English, and they looked different; better fed/fatter, maybe even a bit taller. They were better dressed and wore expensive uniforms, even on a Saturday. Daddy usually had a car to drive them hame, tae the ‘big hooses’ that I delivered milk tae afore going to school masel. Many of them had places reserved at university, but few of us ever got there; and the best jobs too, in the ‘professions’, closed aff tae maist o us, an still tae. This is what Prof Michael Hechter described as a ‘cultural division of labour’ in a colonial society, or as he called it ‘the UK Internal Colonialism Model’. In other words, Scots suffer from institutionalised racism. And our bourgeois political elite at Holyrood still search for the root of inequality!

Should Scotland be an independent country – again?
Just one word, but it changes the whole context, Scotland was a long established independent country and had been for centuries – until the Treaty of Union.
Before I came forward with the “Declaration of a Sovereign Scot” initiative, I looked at factors like that, how to “re-frame”, “re-phrase”, but most importantly “re-think”. That is just one example – a very simple one. I could have used “Should Scotland regain it’s independence as a country?” as another example. However, that was not my final conclusion – far from it.
My actual conclusion – the Sovereign people of Scotland should not spend a second, not one second, waiting for a question, no matter how cleverly worded.
Instead they should use their right of self-determination, and announce their answer to the world.
Thus I wrote these words, and along with all those who have already signed their Declaration, started to tell the world – our answer!
It was OUR Declaration – OUR Declaration as Sovereign Scots!

Gentrification of Edinburgh started in Stockbridge in the sixties/seventies and people were shipped out to council estates like Muirhouse. My family was part of the exodus. I am sure everyone knows the consequences. Our community was broken and the yuppies soon moved in
No hope. No future and we became third class citizens in our own city within 10years. I was told on numerous occasions I was scum.
Private Education:
Elitism for the elite, to maintain the elite
25% of children attend private schools in Edinburgh.
They have got to go in a Independent Scotland
Completely agree with Lloyd. The public school system is a very unhealthy thing in society IMV.
The very idea that you can buy life advantage for your kids over other kids whose parents cannot afford it is obviously morally flawed.
Fair comments about them and us. And utterly insidious about how so many of us have accepted becoming the lumpen second rate inferior us.
Colonisation and all that comes along with it is indeed utterly insidious. That’s how it works.
But it is up to us to change the way that it is. That is the message that needs to be spread far and wide.
And that is a message the controlling elites and their lackies fear.
Good comments Lloyd and others. Education, political and cultural awareness.. three key ingredients to uplifting our lot.
