Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Suicidal Tendencies - Trip At the Brain

Through A Scottish Prism 09/07/23

From Noon Sunday.

I am joined by the entire crew, Lloyd Quinan, Yvonne Ridley, Eva Comrie and Phil Boswell the Coatbridge Cavalier. We debate the week’s political events in Scotland.

The appalling undemocratic behaviour of the UK Banks to anyone that holds Gender Critical views and opposes the Trans zealots that think feelings are more scientific than actual biology. Leslie Sawers, Equalities Human Rights Commissioner joins Stu Campbell and Nigel Farage as just three of the people that have had their bank accounts closed because of their political beliefs. Does anyone trust ANY Government to introduce digital currency only? You oppose the UK Government’s Russophobia you can be made financially impotent overnight. Disagree with Scottish Government over male fetishists in frocks you can be left unable to function or pay any of your bills, mortgage/rent overnight! Disagree with USA’s proxy wars, and you can find yourself financially neutered with no recourse to appeal. Sanctioning citizens in a similar way they have sanctioned Russia, China, Iran, Syria, North Korea. That is how your government views you if you disagree. Unlike those nations we have no alternative choices but to yield.

We discuss the latest SNP resignations and electoral humiliation in East Kilbride. We also debate the latest opinion poll, the fourth in a row to show a widening gap between those that support independence and those that support the SNP. It is averaging 10-12 % points that is a lot of SNP losses at UKGE and Holyrood in 2026 if they do not address the disconnect. We do though offer them a solution to their woes. We know they watch TASP but will they listen to our sound advice?

The most heated debate was the “Gaffe of the Week” segment. By the end of our discussions one of our panel had renamed it “Fanny of the Week.” Can you guess which panel member did that, and who do you think should get the title, FOTW? Let us know in the commentsΒ  section here on Twitter,Facebook or on YouTube.

All this and so much more on your favourite weekly Scottish Podcast Show.

  • Phil gets it bang on the money when he says that the Brit establishment controls the SNP. Of that there is absolutely no doubt.

This is what the Brits have done in colony after colony around the world. Hollowed out the political independence movements from within. Blackmail, bribery, controlling the media, jailing independence leaders are only part of it and no one should make any mistake as to why and how Alex Salmond was targeted in the way that he was.

But maybe he was lucky. Willie MacRae was not so luck. He ended up with a bullet through his head the evening where earlier he had declared that he had evidence against the Thatcher government. Widely thought to have been evidence about Dounreay the reality is more likely that he had evidence about a paedophile ring at the heart of the Westminster government.

And therein lies another tale. paedophile ring participation like illicit sex relationships are methods of control. That is how the establishment works. Blackmail is one powerful tool and the Brit establishment is well versed in using it.

But it doesn’t stop there. They didn’t call Northern Ireland the Dirty War for nothing. The murder of republican lawyers like Pat Finnucaine or Rosemary Nelson, or the facilitation of bombings, and the deliberate killing of innocent citizens to discredit nationalist movements, are all part of the Brit lexicon of dirty tricks. In fact as Brig General Sir Frank Kitson of Kenya, Ireland infamy said, – everything below symmetrical warfare is the strategy.

No one should therefore be surprised at what has happened to the SNP. 2014 was a close run thing. Closer than we might dare think. It was not supposed to happen and so the Brit machine turned up a gear. Scotland is England’s last colony. It is a wealthy colony. And they will fight every which way to retain it.

But other countries gained their independence. Ireland is heading towards unification and all of the British efforts have not stopped it. And neither will their efforts stop Scottish independence. The Treaty of Union is there to be broken and it will be broken by the will of the Scottish people.

Scottish independence has not gone away.

    • There are only two ways to win independence through the barrel of a gun eg Irekand, USA Yemen,Kenya;Cyprus or through the ballot box. All the other so-called silver bullet scenarios are piffle. No nation ever eon its independence or regained its territory in a courtroom especially a UN one which is effectively a US government department. The SU is sadly going the same way.

      • “or through the ballot box”

Yes Roddy, the SNP has been given several Scotland majorities of MPs through the ballot box yet these supposedly ‘nationalist’ MPs aye refuse to liberate the people. According to postcolonial theory it is this kind of political failure and deceit which may lead to conflict.

        • Yes, Alf, it is frustration and cul-de-sacs that lead to a boiling over of quite legitimate and normal desires for independence. Every time we come close, the SNP/Green coalition heads us off in another direction. It is not that independence is impossible, but, rather, that they simply will not, and do not want to, do what it will take. When we talk of the ballot box, we should remember that this can take the form of a ratifying/confirmatory referendum after a declaration of independence via, eg, repudiation of the Treaty/C o R. That is perfectly legal in both domestic and international law.

      • Roddy – 100% correct!

        For info:

As part of the “Declaration of a Sovereign Scot” initiative, I am currently publishing the details of each of the letters issued to the Secretary General of the United Nations since the initiative started in April 2021.

Each letter is issued as each batch of individually signed “Declarations” are lodged solely for safe keeping at the UN HQ in New York. Signed by sovereign Scots at every rally (and more) held in Scotland since the initiative started.

More recently – as part of Stage 2 of the initiative, copies of all such letters sent to the UN HQ have been issued to 17 countries world wide, each country involved sharing two common characteristics, namely they are all UN Members, and all, by varying means, achieved their independence from the UK.

This and more to come – is preparation for a final stage in the initiative. Even when supporting your views on the use of the Ballot Box, I hope – in due course – to illustrate how we inventive Scots frequently and successfully – also think outside the Box!

Leave it to you – if you are at all interested as this develops further, and more details are released, please just use the link below:

  • The British State no doubt does make hay with the Scottish crop, and we should expect nothing else. It is how the Union has worked since 1707. However, the ‘woke’/’trans’ stuff was home-grown inasmuch as those who infiltrated the SNP were from Scotland. If you look at the overall, bigger ‘trans’ picture, you will see that it is almost always the case that the ‘little’ neighbour with the inferiority complex is the one that has gone overboard for this bilge in a way that the larger and ‘superior’ neighbour has not – at least, initially.

I do believe that there is a link, and that Stonewall and its arms have exploited the link, both psychologically and politically to infiltrate the ‘wee’ neighbour as a prelude to infiltrating the big one: Canada/America, New Zealand/Australia, Iceland/Denmark/Norway/Sweden, Scotland/England, etc. I may be haverin, but I don’t think so, and this has all been worked out from above, where the real finance and bad faith lie. It is almost certainly part of the new wave of global corporatism/unregulated capitalism, and it would be very interesting to know which billionaires back the corporate interests that back the political parties in each country.

We had the opportunity to nationalise the banks when they failed in 2008 and hammer them into shape to serve the communities they were in, saving front-line jobs along the way, but we didn’t and the rest is history. Almost everything the Greens/SNP touch turns to dust, but we can say exactly the same about privatization. It never works except in very limited circumstances because it sucks the marrow out of anything worthwhile and leaves it to wither, enriching the CEOs and shareholders, but destroying everyone else’s future. Much of the blame, however, must lie with a slackening of regulation, starting with the amounts of money that people are allowed to take from the economy and place in tax havens.

Only in the case of SMEs does capitalism really work because these people put their heart and soul into running their businesses, and they are, generally, community-based. We need to go back to basics and start running a ‘post war’ economy where spending on capital projects for social gain is the order of the day, creating real jobs and boosting local economies. If it could be done when the country was, literally, on its uppers, it can be done again, but we need parties that will embrace this approach, not ones that are wedded, whatever their ideological/political position, to making the economy not work for ordinary people, but for the few. We cannot, if we get another chance, allow the self-interested, the utterly selfish and the me-ists to gain the upper hand again.

Anything that comes back into state ownership must be run for the people and must be efficient, with a strict embargo on privatization of all and any public service/utility in future. Eventually, I believe, all utilities and other public services will require to be re-nationalized, so inefficient are they in terms of economic well-being for the many, and so useless have they become at anything that does not involve enriching their shareholders and CEOs, investment, for example, having become, now, a dirty word. The English water companies are the prime example.

Laws also have to be promulgated to prevent land, water, and all other natural resources from being sold off to foreign investors for no return, and the numbers of foreign investors in any area must be strictly limited and they must be held to account if no returns to the communities involved are forthcoming. Almost every other country has these laws, and nationals from some of these countries come here to suck our marrow because we have no such laws, while they enjoy the benefits of their own. We are told constantly that none of this can be done, but it is all lies; we are told that it is ‘socialism’. Rather, it is communityism and nationalism. What it is not is corporatism and unfettered greed: a mixed economy and a social security based on our own resources and needs, and no one left behind as the overriding principle. It is sheer common sense if you want to avoid a revolution. Yes, you can frighten people into compliance, but only for a limited time because human beings have a tolerance that is itself limited. When it becomes exhausted, that is when the rumble of the tumbrils, the thud of Madame Guillotine and the clack of the knitting needles of the tricoteuse can be heard echoing down through the centuries.

Right now, over-indulged, middle-class brats are running the show, enabling the worst excesses by distracting and throwing tantrums, but they are due for a huge shock very soon. The puppeteers who are pulling their strings will cut them loose just as soon as the useful idiots, narcissists, paraphiliacs and fetishists are no longer useful.

  • The rest of the world must be asking if all these supposedly pro-independence MPs continue to attend and enjoy Westminster in all its anti-Scottish dysfunction they can’t really be serious about independence at all, and if they’re not serious about independence why should the rest of the world be?

    • @Doug – fair question …”Why should the rest of the world be?”

Ever thought we should simply ask them? And continuously!

In my earlier post I said I was establishing a record of all the letters to the UN HQ – letters also now sent to 17 other countries – with my notes on each – all available on the link I provided earlier.

Example: This is an extract from the very first letter I sent – 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐑𝐞 πŸ”ππ‘ 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐒π₯ 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏:

      6th April 2021:
Letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations – Concluding paragraphs

The following are relevant extracts from General Assembly resolution 1514 (XV) of 14 December 1960:

“All peoples have the right to self-determination; by virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.”

“Any attempt aimed at the partial or total disruption of the national unity and the territorial integrity of a country is incompatible with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.

“All States shall observe faithfully and strictly the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the present Declaration on the basis of equality, non-interference in the internal affairs of all States, and respect for the sovereign rights of all peoples and their territorial integrity.”

      Notes:
      1) Three very specific words/phrases are important. “Peoples” as it appears in the first and last items. “Country” and “territorial integrity” as they appear in the second and last items. “States” as it appears in the last item. Each have legal importance at an international level.

  • And what about Angus leaving the SNP to be an independent for the islands so many saying it’s great for independence but remember this is the man who repeatedly stood up in Westminster to shout about austerity and brexit , Scotland will not be taken out of the EU against its will , remember that ? all nonsense he was given a majority for Scotland from us in Westminster and in Holyrood at the time but failed failed failed to use it to declare independence .I don’t trust him an inch .

    • Actually no he didn’t ever say that. You unionists really are not the smartest are you. That was Ian Blackford. If you are going to smear at least get a semi believable smear ya fud!

      • Now, now Roddy you need to be more precise in the use of language.

Referring to TGC as a unionist fud, I have to enquire would that be fud as in loony tunes Elmar or would it be fud as in Kirsty Blackman who has no idea about her fud but presumably has one.

And whilst on the subject can you get male and female fuds. And are they the same. I do believe they are. Its an important issue. Especially since the SNP seem to be going out with a fud.

Off to drink some Kool Aid now.
