Today should have been one of the happiest ever for this blog site. Yesterday we passed over 500,000 unique visitors to our site in 2021. While some other sites dwarf our numbers it is still a sense of great pride that my utterings and random thoughts chime with so many of you out there. These numbers do not include those of you that also enjoy our Through A Scottish Prism weekly shows. That does dwarf all the other Vlog posts out there in Independence Land. Our year for that will be complete in May and we expect by then to have reached over 200,000 viewers across all the platforms.
While the blog is a one man, band the Prism Show depends on ‘Techie, and on the occasions of his absence Peter Young over there in Copenhagen steps in to ensue we have a show. I also must acknowledge Iain Lawson, Phil Boswell and all the other bloggers and commentators that have assisted me in bringing the weekly events to you, our audience. Working with them is a joy and full of fun too.
Most especially I want to thank the special guests that turn up to be interviewed. They are the core of the show. They are the movers and shakers the Parliamentarians, the ideas men and women, the activists, the essayist, the visionaries.
I enjoy doing both my blog and the Prism. Feedback in the main is positive though we do not shy away from criticism either. I do admit though when the Green Ink brigade and unionist trolls arrive at my blog site linking the Express, Telegraph, Mail or GB News as references about how shite Scotland is, I hit the bin button. These trolls have been arriving in greater numbers since Wings sadly left the independence battlefield. Unionist trolls need forums to spew their hate, lies and misinformation. Neither Barrheadboy or Prism will ever tolerate that.
I have had many discussions with fellow bloggers, and we have agreed how lucky we all are to have such loyal and discerning readers. Unlike the MSM or Broadcasters, our readers have direct access to us. The MSM withdrew the right to reply owing to the fact the public exposed the lies in their articles. The BBC in Scotland, of course, has never allowed the right of reply.Foreign propaganda does not like scrutiny.
We in the New Independence Media are held to a higher standard than our unionist counterparts in the Anglo/British/House-Jock media. I embrace that wholeheartedly. We bloggers need to link everything we say with the facts to back it up. Unlike the MSM we cannot make sweeping generalities or make up stories that will not stand up to scrutiny.
We have to make sure every coma, full stop and exclamation mark is in the right place otherwise the Grammar Police are on to us in double quick time. We always try to give you our best. We know that if we bring you false information or numbers you will be immediate in your demands that we correct or explain our claims.
No blogger more than Stu Campbell has been attacked by the opposition and sadly by our own (alleged) side too. His and those of us that had the opportunity to defend his articles always said the same thing. ‘Show me a single inaccuracy.’ Nobody ever has or is likely too either. That, of course, does not stop them smearing and sneering. Truth is the thing our opponents fear most.
On the occasions when something is pointed out to me, I amend or correct without hesitation. I am glad to announce that hasn’t happened very often because as I have stated we bloggers have to make sure our facts are correct before we publish.
While people of the same political persuasion will gently chide us, our opponents would crucify us with anything remotely inaccurate we printed. They would use it as a way of shutting us down permanently. Be assured the establishment and Brits fears us, the pen truly is mightier than the sword. That is why Wings came under such sustained and vicious attack. That is also why the unionist media, the SNP woke and devolutionist wings celebrated so much when Stu said Enough!
I understand and sympathise with his reasons. Like so many of you out there I do wish he would return to the fight. I also have some regard for how much pressure he was under every day. I have had nowhere near the same pressure he suffered daily. However, let me say having nameless, gormless goons attacking you day after day takes its toll. It is, easy from a distance to say, ‘well just ignore them, block them.’ Believe me the constant bombardment takes, its toll. It is offset of course, when we receive positive feedback from our readers and viewers.
As many of you know for months now I have been receiving special attention from the ineffectual MP for Perth and North Perthshire. Like all blowhard bullies he is a coward. When offered the opportunity to debate me to air his grievances and demonstrate why in his opinion all the pro independence Media are anti independence his bottle crashed. Like all bullies he ran away when confronted. He likes to attack from the safety of his keyboard block button. When he has any disagreeing voice he just blocks it. If he cannot receive or read criticism then it doesn’t exist in his pea brain.
Sadly his modus operandi has been seized upon by the SNP child devotees and unionist trolls. As soon as any of these people are exposed to something that does not agree with their narrow view, they cry abuse and hit the block button or complain to the Facebook or Twitter admins they are being victimised.
The numbers I mentioned above have been achieved despite me receiving 75 days in bans from Facebook. A stint in hospital and a months sabbatical in July!
The Facebook blockings I find sad and an affront to democracy. Just as our UK and Scottish Governments want to stop any protesting or dissent so do their followers. Unable to defeat us by debate or reasoning they resort to trying to shut us down.
I had only returned to Facebook a week or so ago after another 30 day ban for an innocuous comment to a snowflake. My blog this week on the School Sex Survey was the subject of this latest attack on me. Like all my articles I had supporting links to verify my article. I was determined to ensure the accuracy of all I had written. It is more important on GRA related articles than any other topic. Isn’t it just a, sign of our situation that Independence is not the main topic of discourse! The woke as we know are particularly vicious, just ask, Stu Campbell, Joanna Cherry or Joan McAlpine, Marion Miller to name bu just a few that have been abused and traduced.
I was attacked by a rather unsavoury type as to the accuracy of my blog. He suggested I was a liar. I asked him to point out the errors and if true I would withdraw my article. Here is what I said and what got me another 30 day ban.
As I have said earlier I will accept and correct errors. All of my colleagues in the Independence New Media are the exact same. We leave the fiction and lies to our opponents. Even if we wanted to be like them, you our readers would not let us and very quickly we would have no readers and no credibility.That is the strength and beauty of our particular media.
It is sad though that even one of our top judges has disdainfully looked down upon us as a group. This was amply exposed at Craig Murray’s Show trial.

Pete Wishart thinks he can traduce and lie about us and our intentions but he, like a coward refuses to face scrutiny over his lies. Shining a light on his lies is his biggest fear and why he hides from debating me.
The weasel that had me blocked on Facebook rather than admit he was just being a disruptive liar and denier is just another anti democratic coward.
These are the obstacles we in the Independence New Media will continue to face every day. It comes from those who cannot argue their case with facts. They should understand this, their intimidation, bullying, abuse and dishonesty will not prevent us bloggers from telling the truth.
Once again from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. Rest assured the bullies and liars will never chase me away,they only strengthen my resolve with their antics!
After saying how careful we always are before publishing I am now somewhat fearful that the Grammar Police might investigate this article thoroughly for any unforgivable errors! If only the Grammar Police were as inefficient as those at Police, Scotland investigating the Daily Record leak!
Needless to say this, article will not get seen on Facebook without the help of my readers. Help me by preventing them from stopping others reading our words

Roddy: Most, if not all of those faceless slívíns you mention are to be pitied, if only for the fact that their argumentation is most often of the visceral and sentimental variety, held together by opinions learned by rote within the bosom of their social milieu and duly amplified through their choice of media. There’s is a world wherein thinking, facts, analysis and actual political realities count for nothing. That said: dealing with such people is bound to be be extremely frustrating.
Well done on your achievement Roddy. I’m grateful to you and the others for the amount of work you put in to promoting the restoration of Scotland’s independence. I have given up on the SNP fanzine aka the National, so look to yourself and other bloggers for comment and opinion on current affairs.

Great article I found it took two tries to get on and it was ages before it opened but not sure why
I could not go without my daily read of you bloggers and I never miss a prism show either. Compared to the so called honest journalist that are the MSM in this country and all of the U.K. You lot are Head & shoulders above in honesty & clarity. You should all get together start your own newspaper as the talent & knowledge you all have would find a larger NON internet audience. A crowd funder could help get you started, imagine all the most honest down to life Impartial journalists (AKA Bloggers) writing in the one place. Replace that rag that pretends to be for Independence. Expose the lies of all governments and all parties, NO bias just honest to goodness information the public SHOULD be getting.. But always fighting in every post for Independence for this country. And do as you did with Wishart, challenge them all to prove you are not writing the shite the well paid journalist in this country do just by their headlines alone. There is never any back up. Never any proof of investigating any story they write.. I want to see all you new media bloggers become Scotlands new MSM, no fear or favour for any party, any government, or any institution that can harm the public just because they want to further their careers.

IIRC Pete Wishart only managed to keep His Job at the last GE by around 6 Votes and that was before Alba was formed , I think we can safely say come the next GE he will be gone as fast as a Bicycle accidently left unlocked on Buchanan Street.

Stu brought much of the attention onto himself , his biggest mistake was in trying to lie to us with the WBB by using out of date financial figures inside it , Scot Gov had revised the 2011-12 figures, the 2012-13 had been published But Stu still used the original pre revised out of date meaningless old 2011-12 numbers when the WBB was published in Aug 2014.
