MOVEMENT FOR SCOTTISH DEMOCRACY WILL WIN!
The rallies which took place last week across Scotland demonstrate that the campaign of popular agitation against Westminster is underway – The Scottish fightback has well and truly begun.”
This was said today (Saturday) at the All Under One Banner (AUOB) march and rally in Glasgow by ALBA Westminster Leader Neale Hanvey MP. Mr Hanvey will go on to state:
“Be in no doubt we are entering a new and critical stage in the struggle to break the stranglehold of the British state over the Scottish people. This is a battle for Scottish Democracy, for our right as a nation, to determine our own future. This is a battle for the soul of Scotland and it is one that we intend to win.”
Mr Hanvey will go on to call for the establishment of a Scottish Independence Convention and will state:
“The elected representatives of Scotland, MSPs, MPs and Councillors, together with Civic Scotland must unite in a Scottish Independence Convention to assert the sovereign will of the Scottish people to determine the form of government best suited to their needs – to assert our national Claim of Right.”
Speaking today (Saturday) at the All Under One Banner (AUOB) march and rally in Glasgow ALBA Westminster Leader Neale Hanvey MP will state:
“ The rallies which took place last week across Scotland demonstrate that the campaign of popular agitation against Westminster is underway – The Scottish fightback has well and truly begun.
“ In closing down any immediate prospect of a Scottish Independence referendum the Supreme Court may have thought they had dealt a mortal blow to the cause of Scottish Independence but they were wrong and will be proved wrong over the coming weeks.
“ The danger after the Supreme Court ruling was that the Independence movement would sink into despair thinking that we had reached the end of the constitutional road. But thankfully that is not the case as the demonstrations last week and this marvellous demonstration today clearly shows. Far from killing off support for Independence the ruling by the Supreme Court has galvanised the Scottish Independence movement – injecting new verve and vigour into the Yes campaign.
“ Be in no doubt we are entering a new and critical stage in the struggle to break the stranglehold of the British state over the Scottish people. This is a battle for Scottish Democracy, for our right as a nation, to determine our own future. This is a battle for the soul of Scotland and it is one that we intend to win.
“ So what should happen now?
“ First, we need to step up the campaign of popular agitation, as we are doing today, against Westminster’s veto over Scottish Democracy.
“ Second, the elected representatives of Scotland, MSPs, MPs and Councillors, together with Civic Scotland must unite in a Scottish Independence Convention to assert the sovereign will of the Scottish people to determine the form of government best suited to their needs – to assert our national Claim of Right.
“Third, we must signal to the World that Scotland is on the march once again and that the cause of Scottish Independence and the Campaign for Scottish Democracy is here to stay and we must mobilise international pressure to support our cause.
“No Westminster Government or Court sitting in London will dictate the future of the people of Scotland. We are the people and we say Yes! We are now the Movement for Scottish Democracy and we will win!
