There is a growing disquiet down in Mother England. It seems word has come from the King over the sea his holiness and highness King Rupert Murdoch 1. We are told he thinks the Boris one should be replaced by one of his choosing. Let me assure you Rishi Sunak you will not be the chosen one. This media storm is growing and when the News International Inc think the time is right the wheels will be set in motion to replace the No.10 incumbent.
The likeliest lad is Murdoch favourite Gove. The sleekitist of the sleekit. A man that can lie so easily and so proficiently that the English actually think he is an Anglo. Others like Rishi and Pritti might have a run at the top job. It will all be to no avail. Let me be as polite as I can, England is not ready for a non white Prime Minister anymore than they are ready for a Catholic or Muslim monarch. England is a racist society. It starts at the top and works its way through the entire rotten core right into the heart of English society and sadly on to the streets of Glasgow and Belfast too!
There is a false sense of Anglo superiority that permeates everything they say, do and broadcast. Every piece of written journalism is tainted with a sense of English superiority. Their nearest neighbours the Celtic nations are viewed as primitive beings and worth far less than a good Anglo Saxon type. As with Gove if you are subservient and a good Uncle Jock like your average Scottish Unionists, you will be tolerated. However, never think you are accepted as an equal. You are there only to massage the Anglo ego and to supply Mother England with natural resources and wealth. Anglos have an ego that is so huge that it is very fragile. Any Scot supporting Scottish Self-Determination is immediately tainted as anti-English,never pro Scottish! It was apparently a very English thing to do, to take back control of the English borders from that dastardly lot in the EU. However when Scots advocate taking back control of the Scottish border to help control the spread of Covid, it is nothing but Anti-English racism.
The English feel personally affronted that there are independence movements in the Celtic colonies.They truly believe that they are somehow responsible for our very existence. The misconception of Anglo superiority has them soaking up all the subsidy myths. They have no conception regarding the theft of Scottish and Welsh natural resources to enrich and subsidise their life in England. The Welsh pay more for Welsh water than do English people drinking from the same source. The exact same concept as Scots pay more for their Scottish generated electricity than English do for same electric supply.
While we Scots pay for all our infrastructure building out of our pocket money allowance from Westminster all of the Celtic nations pay for England’s infrastructure and defence. While HS2 will never get anywhere near Cardiff, Edinburgh or Belfast every British subject of the Crown will pay their share of England’s grandeur. The Channel tunnel, The M25, London Sewers, Crossrail, the English Parliament at Westminster or the refurbishment of the Queen of England’s big council House at the bottom of the Mall in London. All Celts pay a proportion of that. Now we hear that the Anglos in England’s Parliament in Westminster want the Queen of England to have a new Royal boat. Guess what suckers you will be paying upwards of £30million towards that. However, when Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland build any infrastructure, the Queensferry Crossing Bridge for example all the money comes from the Celtic Nations budgets.There is never an English contribution. Only England can borrow in this so called Union of equals. However Mother England then allocates its borrowings to the nations of Scotland, Wales and the six occupied counties of Ireland. To rub salt in our wounds they then tell us we are too poor to be independent because we have to fund England’s borrowings! It is a giant ponzi scheme and we are the marks!
Yet as these imperialists Lord it over us the rot is slowly but surely destroying the last vestiges of this corrupt Union. The Eurovision Song Contest last weekend was quite telling with UK being the only nation not to receive a single point.It just shows Global England what the world actually thinks of them as opposed to what the English think the world thinks about them. The next few years are going to be quite a shock to the English and not a pleasant one for them. In years past the Irish, God bless them always usually gave the UK 10 or 12 points at Eurovision. Even they have tired now of Mother England’s chest thumping jingoism.
I am a great believer in thinking that rot begins at the top of a barrel, not the bottom. The medieval way our monarchy operates is just ridiculous in a 21st- century world. I have said before that the UK should have in 1945 renewed our Constitution and governance. The rest of the free world were wise enough to know times had changed and they needed to change too.The Anglo arrogance though felt that as they had ‘won’ the war there was no need to change anything.
The Labour landslide of 1945 shook the English establishment to its core. It took them until around 2010 to actually get back in control of matters. The Welfare State one of Labour’s few successes has nearly now been eradicated. All that remains is the NHS and in England that is virtually back in private hands already.
The pesky Celts though seem intent in holding on to this very anti neoliberal ideal of health, free at the point of delivery for everyone. The English neoliberal class which is most of England think only those and such as those should have healthcare and even they should have to purchase, a city of London insurance policy to pay for that. The only state aid that receives their approval is tax cuts for the rich. If you are non-white, non-English, an ordinary PAYE Tax payer and not slavish to all Anglo superiority ideologies, sports, entertainment, personalities, then you are only worthy of contempt, ridicule, othering and hatred.
The UK Civil Service which like most things with a UK label is actually the English Civil Service. It is run by the same class and tiny group that sit in Westminster in both Houses. The top jobs are all filled by people who went to the same English Public schools and universities as our politicians, Officers in our armed services and heads of our Security services. The same people too are appointed to the Government quangos that oversee broadcasting, NGOs, Think Tanks and Corporate UK. Everything that happens in UK is about the square mile and the 1%.Once you grasp that concept, everything else is easier to understand.
If you realise the fall out from Brexit, Covid, the bank crash, the dot com bubble, austerity, Middle Eastern wars never has an adverse effect on those people mentioned, it becomes clearer. Indeed through all these major catastrophes for the ordinary citizens of the UK the 1% and the City of London increase their wealth and influence. When due to recession you lose your job, home and business these vultures are on stand by to come and scoop up your misery and make a profit from your misfortune. If your child is killed in an oil war in a far off land these people have made fortunes supplying the kit, the guns, the planes, the food, the vehicles, the accommodation that take them to their death . As you grieve beside a coffin, they count up their profits.
As you hear of NHS workers dying during Covid because of a lack of or inferior PPE be assured the 1% and their friends have made £ millions in profit from those deaths. When you see Johnson or Hancock or any other Tory standing outside clapping the NHS workers, know that it is a lie. They are clapping their profits and their bulging Panamanian bank accounts.
All this wealth they gather andthey won’t even pay their fair share of taxes to at least give a little back. They know that they can avoid paying, and nobody in authority cares, indeed they are at it too. When the news of the Panama banking scandals hit it emerged even Mrs Windsor herself has funds offshore. She gets to decide how much, if any tax she pays and on what or what she even declares as income. Yet everyone of us will have to pay for the refurbishment of Buckingham Palace. At last estimate the figure was almost £500,000,000. How many people could that lift out of poverty?
The recovery from Covid we hear about will without doubt turn out to be another money making exercise for the 1% and the English elite ruling class. That is the inherent problem in all that is wrong inside this vile rotting British Union. The class war is over, they won. The haves will never share and while they control all the levers of finance, broadcasting and civil service we will never change it either. Replacing Tories with a Labour Government does not change the system or fundamentals. We need a root and branch revolution. A Written Constitution. A true Proportional Representative Parliament, an Elected Second Chamber and an elected head of state, otherwise things will never change. Till we rid society and the boardrooms of nepotism fairness and equality will never be attained.
For us Scots though the worst in all of this is this, our present First Minister believes, we should leave our recovery from Brexit and Covid in the hands of these vultures that have spent centuries living off of the backs of the poor and dispossessed, not just on these islands, but throughout the globe. Sturgeon thinks that Scotland is better being in the hands of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Rishi Sunak than by politicians elected in an independent Scotland by Scots. If she doesn’t have enough faith and belief in the people of Scotland then she should step aside and let someone who does believe in us take over. We cannot wait a day longer. We need Independence now!

Does this article need to “advance the cause of independence”? Is it not good enough to just expose the truth? As this article clearly does.
As for “wild assertions”, if you’re an independence supporter (and I suspect you’re not), that you think that the facts in this article are wild assertions, shows just how much the class war has been won.

The only ‘assertions’ that Scotland requires is assertions of our national sovereignty which is the right and obligation of Scotland’s nationalist elected majorities at Holyrood and Westminster. Thus far our national elected majorities refuse to do what they are voted in to do. It is successive elected Scottish national pro-independence majorities at Holyrood at Westminster who have so far failed to “advance the cause of Independence”.
Sturgeon is a Yoon plant. Corrupt to the core, just like her masters.
So what then would contribute to the cause?
And what does expressing your opinion like this contribute to this discussion?

Indeed the recovery from Covid is actually underway. It’s probably in the last throws of the actual pandemic. So Nicola is currently allowing Westminster control over the recovery from the pandemic. She said Scotland should have a choice about who looks after the recovery. I don’t remember her asking me, did I miss that. Has the referendum been, cause it looks like we have given the result to Boris.
Does she not understand that you don’t wait 2 years to even get a vote. Because that’s 2 years worth of Tory Austerity. It will then take a further 2 years to leave the UK. That takes us to 2025 , before we even get a sniff of control.
Excellent post. On top of all you cite there is the continuing cancer of the Scottish Cringe which still cripples a sizeable proportion of Scotland’s population. We need to rebuild our self-confidence. Politicians like Alex Salmond were expert in boosting Scotland’s confidence. Sadly Sturgeon does not have the same effect. Indeed there are times when she drains away Scotland’s confidence; when serially ignoring mandates for indyref2 for example.

Well said. I would point out though that the reason there is no state constitution is because it was a trade agreement that was ratified in 1707 and all rights prior to and after were to be fully upheld which included the constitutions of both countries.

I am happy to engage in reasoned and reasonable debate. I enjoyed Wings until it finished, and have been trying to find a site which could replace it. I hoped this might be one, but the reaction to my comments and question (which I was asked to make) so far are sadly not encouraging. I will continue to comment for now if I am allowed and see how it goes.
There were lots of comments on Wings about people continually blaming Boris instead of concentrating on what was going on in Scotland. Whilst I have no regard for Boris or what goes on in England, I do care about what is going on Scotland, and I believe that is the issue which needs to be addressed.
For me it all came to a head with the the actions against Alex Salmond, It got worse with the restrictions on the Fabiani Committee, and the failure of the government to keep to its promise of giving every assistance to it. With the performance of Nicola Sturgeon, and her continual smearing, I realised that Scotland was being led by someone out of control. I hoped that the election, and the new Alba party would have some effect but that didn;t
happen.
It is said that everyone at Holyrood knows who the Alphabetties are and why and on whose instructions the whole sorry affair was commenced. Craig Murray knows, and no doubt would like to be able to tell the people more than he has so far. What to me is rotten is the way all those politicians in the know are just carrying on regardless.
Then there is the missing £600,000 from the ring fenced fund, the resignation of the auditors, the refusal to say where it is, the treatment of the NEC….and all the other things which people have pointed out about this rotten government and SNP..
There are about 14 paragraphs in the article I have commented on making all sorts of claims about what is going on in England and the past. The comments about Murdoch are amusing to a degree but are they meant to be serious? There is just one paragraph about Scotland and the present. If Scotland can sort out the mess it is in it will stand a much better chance of showing (particularly to the International community) that it is serious about and has the ability to be a successful independent country.
I am an unapologetic supporter of Alex Salmond and his cause and the way he conducts himself in a quiet and dignified manner, using reasoned argument to make his case. I hope I can be allowed to make my case without people resorting to unfortunate negative comments. Boris and the Tories will do what they will do, and Scotland needs to get its own house in order.

Initially it read like an out of control rant , like many a body feels ,when at the end of their tether ,though it was all true ,but it stopped too short,.

I have no time for this present Scottish government however,I have to say any governmrnt elected by the Scottish voters gets my support. Problem is we keep getting governments elected by a foreign nation sitting in a foreign parliament in England.

Neville Chaimberlain’s Minister for Agriculture (1939 to 41) was Reginald Dorman-Smith. In the 1930’s, Dorman-Smith was a member of the political pressure group, English Mistery (correct spelling).
