Sovereignty Joins Liberate Scotland to Contest 2026 Scottish Parliament Election

 

Liberate Scotland is proud to announce that Sovereignty has joined our coalition to contest the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election. This significant development signals a bold and unified approach to securing Scotland’s independence and places the power of self-determination firmly back into the hands of the Scottish people.

 

While many nations across the globe continue to exercise their right to self-determination, it has become increasingly evident that the United Kingdom is determined to thwart any effort by the Scottish people to claim that same right.

 

The Scottish National Party (SNP), despite its historical role in advocating for independence, has failed to present a coherent plan to overcome the obstacles erected by the British state.

 

The decision by Sovereignty to join forces with ISP, Independents for Independence (I4I), and other pro-independence groups under the Liberate Scotland banner marks a turning point. Our unified coalition will contest the 2026 election on a platform dedicated to seeking a direct mandate for independence and upholding Scotland’s inherent right to secession.

 

Independence will not be handed to us on a silver platter. It will require commitment, resilience, and a unified national effort, momentum is on our side, and support for independence continues to grow. The critical moment in Scotland’s history is approaching, and the time has come for all those who believe in Scotland’s right to self-governance to come together in a singular effort.

 

As part of the coalition, Sovereignty will stand candidates in the Highlands and Islands and North East Scotland electoral regions, both at the constituency level and on the regional list. We welcome campaigners, activists, and potential candidates from across the north of Scotland to join this historic campaign to reclaim our sovereignty.

 

This strategic alliance reflects our belief that independence is not something to be requested from Westminster; it is a right that must be asserted and claimed through collective determination and bold action.
