Hi, BB, I posted on your blog when you asked people to talk to you. It didn’t appear. I’m not complaining. Just wondering what happened, as I certainly was not having a go, just trying to deconstruct the latest statement by the FM? You can just email me rather than put this on the blog comments section.
I truly have no idea why that comment was removed, indeed I had replied to it stating quite clearly that I disagreed with opening comments re Cataluyna and Scotland As a resident of Cataluyna I am well aware of the differences. Scotland was an independent sovereign nation for a thousand years before joining into an alleged union of equal status. We have no written constitution unlike Spain, Cataluyna has never been a sovereign state so those comparisons are akin to comparing Apples with Fire engines. I apologise that somehow instead of a reply you were removed. Please be assured unless offensive or pro Tory your comments will not be removed
Thank you, sir. Probably wittered on too much, anyway. Just to clarify: no, I wasn’t comparing Scotland to Catalunya. What I meant was that it could open Scotland up to the same type of put-down, that’s all, not that they are in any way similar in the political or historical sense.
Listened to your programme today with Eileen Spence. I am still reeling, and, though I am utterly opposed to the GRA reform, I had not realized it was already so embedded. I have been telling everyone I know to listen to your programme. Ms Spears and Ms Somerville are two immature and extremely silly girlies – I refuse to call them women – and, come 2021, they will have to answer for what they have done to our children, to the party and to Scotland. How on earth did they get to the positions they are in? What is Nicola Sturgeon thinking?
Also it would be informative if someone could post a link to the documents that Eileen Spence refers to as being released under FOI.
I made a concerted effort to track them down but had no success.
On the scot.gov website there is a rudimentary search function but searching for
‘foi gra’ finds only 2 results and
‘foi Somerville’ a further 7
Having waded through all 9 I am left with an overwhelming impression of abuse of process and failure to consider legitimate concerns.
And I could not even find the ‘smoking gun’ apology to lobbyists as ‘colleagues’ message.
I appreciate that this may not be ideal place for this enquiry, but you have certainly started a dialogue and the facts should be available for all to see!
To put Eileen’s mind at rest – and anyone else who is concerned – the constituency vote and list vote are on seperate ballot papers and go into different ballot boxes – no connection is made during the count to the two papers. So you can spoil, leava blank and actually refuse your ballot paper for either vote. I’d reccomend spoiling in a completely unambiguous way, rather than leaving blank though. Excellent podcast – I just wish more people were aware that this is going on.

Yes Eileen was magnificent, quite an eye popper if it had been a show in US the bleep machine would have been worn out. π π
Very well done there Roddy.
This stuff is serious and it is not going away. π
Parents are concerned, and rightly so.
Eileen Spences words may be a wake call to some.
Can anyone post a link to the John Swinney video mentioned?
Thanks.
