Fair cheered me up.Superb hear a 45 minute broadcast solely focused on the people and prospects of Scotland’s Highlands and Islands
Was that an engineer laying out so well a policy for reversing the modern Highland clearances? We hear so little about Scotland’s beautiful, sleeping giant, and it’s great natural resources… But to also to hear that development in the Highlands and Islands could be focused upon using the skills of the people and environment there to grow the economy of the people and the environment… It is beyond welcome what came across from Craig… I have heard nobody, not even in 2014 speak so well in favour of a reinvigorated Highlands and Islands.
Housing from Highland timber, power from coastal waves and water, and a new role for the wonderful University of the Highlands and Islands as a nexus of research. I still remember the engineering genius of Kincaid’s being transferred out to South Korea… Well… It’s time to bring it back. We could design and make our own turbines for energy generation. And why Not restart shipbuilding. That’s a transport technology that will come of age again. It was amazing to see the craft that Greta Thunberg travelled across the Atlantic in. We could do that. And then some.

With regards to the oil and gas privatisation, the question should be did the English government have the authority or right to sell them? The answer is no. The deeds and contracts should be therefore treated as illegal and void contracts and sales rather than say that there is nothing Scotland can do to regain its own natural resources in its own waters. And that includes all the resources in the stolen waters that go all the way back to Berwick and not just the last illegal border change.

There’s not enough mention of our stolen seas from Berwick out from Carnoustie which see several Scottish Oil Fields being counted into the English sccounts.
