Amid this evolving environment, a new coalition known as Liberate Scotland has emerged, committed to achieving Scottish independence through a unified front. Historically, Scottish independence has been championed by, notably the Scottish National Party (SNP), which has been the dominant pro-independence force for decades. However, many activists and smaller parties have felt that the SNP’s approach, of doing nothing to promote the cause in 11 years needs replaced.

In response, these groups decided to unify their efforts, believing that a collective, unequivocal mandate for independence would be more effective in breaking the political deadlock. The result is Liberate Scotland, an umbrella coalition designed to present a clear, singular vision to the Scottish electorate: Independence, Nothing Else! This motto encapsulates our unwavering commitment to full, sovereign independence and the rejection of any compromise that would leave Scotland as a subordinate or semi-autonomous entity within the UK.
