The BMA has accused the UK government of being “wilfully negligent” by not immediately implementing additional precautionary measures to reduce the spread of covid-19.
At a Downing Street briefing on 20 October, England’s health secretary, Sajid Javid, said that the government would not be bringing in its “plan B” measures to prevent health services being overwhelmed, including mandatory face coverings and working from home, “at this point.” This was despite the UK recording 49 139 new covid cases, 179 deaths, and 869 hospital admissions on 20 October, and Javid warning that daily infection rates “could yet go as high as 100 000 a day.”
https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj.n2578
This like so much about the pandemic seems like merely words for a press briefing not anything that was going to be implemented.Feeding the news cycle not addressing the problem. The UK has some of the highest infection rates in the world. At no time has this pandemic been close to being under control. Many cynics, like myself question if the UK Government ever did abandon its herd immunity policy.
Yesterday the first ministers of Scotland and Wales wrote a joint letter to Boris Johnson calling for a “four-nations approach” on tougher travel restrictions, after nine cases of the Omicron variant were found in the UK. During a press conference on Monday 29th, November, First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon said the new Covid variant presents “potentially the most challenging development” for some time.
That all parts of the Union have been in lock step over Covid from day one is a well-known fact. London is happy for that compliance to whatever actions it takes or avoids over the pandemic or any other matter. However, when the Devolved Parliaments offer a course of action that has not been the idea of Westminster, it is immediately rejected and slapped down as unworkable, inferior to any English thoughts on such a matter.
Our English Imperial Colonisers wouldn’t care if it was an absolutely guarantee to eradicate the virus completely. It is only England that can make policy or take decisions. Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland are just to take orders not have any ideas above their colony station.
Here is how Unionists view the 4 Nation approach.

What is not in doubt is that the United Kingdom as with most things has handled the pandemic very badly. Our % of dead is up there as one of the highest on the planet. This, sadly also effects Scotland. If we just compare Scotland to our Nordic neighbours, it is quite alarming just how badly our country has handled the virus.

Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland combined have fewer fatalities than Scotland. Sweden, who adopted an almost herd immunity policy, has a higher death rate however they have twice the size of population to Scotland. So it is comparable to the UK 4 Nation strategy.

This just highlights the huge error of judgement on behalf of the Scottish Government in allowing Scotland to be dictated to on this issue by a foreign government in England. Just as every other dictated Westminster policy decision rarely is of benefit to Scotland.
The only time our First Minister chooses to deviate from the English edict on Covid is when it comes to an Independence referendum. She is now hiding behind Covid to further delay taking any action on Scotland’s Constitutional position.
She informed viewers watching Sunday’s Marr Show on BBC1 that this new Omicron Variant might see her delaying the Referendum beyond the 2023 proposed date. It should be noted at the time she said this there was not a single reported case of Omicron Variant in Scotland. Nor was the severity of the Variant known. The doctor that discovered this Variant, Dr. Angelique Coetzee, has gone on to say the symptoms from this new strain are mild in comparison to other forms of the virus.
https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/safrican-doctor-says-patients-with-omicron-variant-have-very-mild-symptoms-2021-11-28/
Yet without a single case or knowing the severity of Omicron Variant, Nicola Sturgeon was already suggesting it might indeed delay her Gold Standard, Section 30 Super Duper Independence Referendum in 2023. Going by past form that sounds like preparing the ground for once again kicking the independence cause into the long grass. The troops will be marched down the hill again. No doubt at the next UK General Election due by December, 2024 Nicola or her successor will be asking for just one more mandate.
I have on social media asked supporters of the SNP why Covid only affects the independence referendum. It didn’t affect Holyrood 2021 never even got a mention by Nicola Sturgeon or any of her acolytes before or after that contest. There has not been a hint that the Council Elections scheduled for May, 2022 will be delayed because of the pandemic.
In March of next year over just a matter of a few days 50,000 to a 100,000 Scottish football fans will cram into Hampden for the World Cup play offs, depending on result of the first game. Between now and then millions will watch football matches throughout Scotland. The Six Nations will have three games at Murrayfield all likely to be 75,000 sell outs. No doubt Christmas shopping, New, Year Parties and the January sales, will go ahead withoutca hint of SNP cancelling them!
Nobody from the SNP can give a semi credible let alone satisfactory answer to why only an independence referendum should be affected by Covid!
I have made my position clear on any referendum so delaying it indefinitely suits me just fine. I truly believe we would lose any referendum subject to the UK Electoral Commission and a Local Authority all comers franchise.
Time is precious, every day Scotland remains in the union is a danger to the well being of our citizens and nation. We have a solution. It has been highlighted before. Recall all Scottish MPs from all parties sitting at Westminster. They along with all MSPs and Councillors to form a Citizen’s Assembly and vote on immediate withdrawal from the Treaty of Union.
It sounds simple enough, because it is that simple. We entered the Union with the votes of our then Scottish Commissioners. These present day MPs, MSPs and Councillors are our latter day Commissioners. They have been elected by the Sovereign people of Scotland. Only they have a right to decide our form of governance or which treaties Scots are subject to. They speak for us, not an English MP from Uxbridge and South Ruislip Constituency.
The Alba Party and The ISP all favour this method of regaining our independence. Scotland needs bold and immediate action, not procrastination and timidity. If the heat in the kitchen is too much Nicola, step aside! Scotland needs to be independent now!
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
The UK used a constitutional voting franchise for Brexit making EU nationals barred from taking part. Why would we want to give colonial settlers a vote on a independence referendum when their allegiance is to their mother country. There are now in excess of 1 million settlers do we really think they will vote for independence. The UN voting franchise which is recognized by the international community for Decolonisation should be used. To put in bluntly the voting franchise is rigged for the Union it should only be for Scots.
We should conduct a National petition to the UN to recognise our colonial status. This would make it more difficult for the British state eg UN monitors voting and vote counting UN monitors media bias, and more importantly ensures a constitutional voting franchise is used for the Decolonisation process without interference from the colonial masters.
What people forget is 80k complaints regarding the vote counting in 2014 referendum not one was investigated by the electoral commission.
“We should conduct a National petition to the UN to recognise our colonial status”
Only if you want laughed at, Scotland has never been a colony.
Scotland joined England by choice whether we like it or not and the Legal documents exist to prove that.
“What people forget is 80k complaints regarding the vote counting in 2014 referendum not one was investigated by the electoral commission.”
Well there is a very good reason for that , get your Doctor to change whatever medication you are on as its not working for you. https://wingsoverscotland.com/our-man-on-the-scene/
If we are not a colony why do we have to ask for permission to hold an Independence referendum? If we are not a colony why is it that despite huge majorities against housing WMD on our soil we are imposed upon? If we are not a colony why is Scotland not still in the EU after all 62%of Scots voted to remain? If we are not a colony why can we not choose who enters and resides in our nation? If we are not a colony why do we not get to keep all our revenues and taxes? If we are not a colony and we are equal nations in a union why is there no English Block Grant? Why is there no Secretary of State for England?
Arthur says “Scotland joined England by choice. ”
Being bullied, bribed and threatened is by choice in your mind. To most people that is not a definition of choice that is a definition of intimidation.
Apart from that the people of Scotland did not join by choice.
So Arthur that comment is misinformed mince. Not surprising you are misinformed as you seem to read the Sun/Express etc.
“Being bullied, bribed and threatened is by choice in your mind. To most people that is not a definition of choice that is a definition of intimidation. Apart from that the people of Scotland did not join by choice”
Yet again you provide a misinformed personal opinion and not actual recorded History , In 1698 England had a hugely successful trading empire , Scotland did not and as Scotland and England weren’t the best of mates at the time Scotland decided to set one up itself based in Panama , to pay for this Scotland raised funds for what was called the Darien Scheme , most educated Scots would know how that ended up and Scotland was heading for Bankcrupty. Thousands of ordinary Scots had invested everything they had even if they only had £5. “There were no shortage of takers though, as thousands of ordinary Scottish folk invested money in the expedition, to the tune of approximately £500,000 – about half of the national capital available. Almost every Scot who had £5 to spare invested in the Darien scheme. Thousands more volunteered to travel on board the five ships that had been chartered to carry the pioneers to their new home… https://www.historic-uk.com/HistoryUK/HistoryofScotland/The-Darien-Scheme/
So with the Darien Scheme failed and Scotland having lost 50% of its National Wealth and heading for Bankcruptcy and still unable to trade with anyone else Joining England and thus gaining access to Englands valuable trading routes was an obvious way of saving Scotlands fortunes instead of Bankcruptcy. Scotland of course went on to thrive both from the abilty to use those trade routes and from not constantly fighting Naval Battles with England, Scotland never looked back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3HnMLq8m9U&t=2s

“. Not surprising you are misinformed as you seem to read the Sun/Express etc.”
I have never read the Sun or the Express , what is it on this Blog that so many clueless people just invent their own BS “facts” and think they are actually true ? Pitiful behaviour but not surprising from someone like you that appears to know so little about Scotlands properly recorded History.
Perhaps this too is something that legally happened that you didn’t know about, try to spend more time learning factual History instead of just inventing you own fantasy grievances that never existed.
https://www.parliament.uk/about/living-heritage/evolutionofparliament/legislativescrutiny/act-of-union-1707/#:~:text=The%20Acts%20of%20Union%2C%20passed,1%20May%20of%20that%20year.&text=The%20idea%20of%20a%20union,the%20Convention%20Parliament%20in%20Edinburgh.
Arthur, why were there 80 petitions AGAINST the Union submitted to the Scottish parliament if Scots were for the Union. Only one petition for the Union. Not fantasy but petitions that are still held in Glasgiw university today. Your post is a load of Britnat propaganda. The only one needing educated is you. You believe your nonsense if you want.
Why post links to these Britnat papers if you don’t read them but you want others to read them. You are nothing but an argumentative troublemaker.
You were warned time and again.
Right on cue, Arthur. Do you live in Scotland? Are you one of the settlers or one of the colonists of Gray legend? You come across as the latter, but you still have time. The legal documents do, indeed, show that, but the actings and sayings around the Union tell a very different story. For example, within a very short time of being in the Union, Scotland highest civil court of last appeal was shifted to the HoL. Can you account for that, Arthur, given that the Treaty specifically, in black and white, states that Scotland’s legal system and courts will be protected?
Can you account for almost every Article having been breached, and always in England’s favour? Again, these Articles were written in black and white. You don’t breach an international Treaty with a partner, do you, not if you expect them to view themselves as anything other than a colonised part of the UK?
There may well have been little substance to most of the complaints made at the time of the count, but you would have to be incredibly prejudiced not to find fault with a member of the Labour party actually giving away the result of the postal ballot four days in advance of the polling station vote, totally in breach of the Electoral Commission rules? Or of the leader of the Tories in Scotland doing the self-same thing on polling night before the final count?
What about the breaching of the purdah period? Never done before the referendum and never done since?
You really need to get new glasses, Arthur because the ones you have are badly cracked. Telling people that they need medication when the facts bear our what they have said.
Yes I live in Scotland , No i’m not a “Settler” I actually choose to continue living in Scotland unlike Roddy of course who appears to have run away because Scotland is too cauld for him.
As for the rest your just havering invented BS , the SNP has never tried to say anyone interfered in the Indyref and neither has the Electoral Commission , its just a matter of Saor Losers making up their own BS because of their own failure to be ble to convince eneough people to Vote Yes.
But on that matter of people counting votes before the Polls closed… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKihNnw8B_c
I have warned you before about your personal attacks on people. Your filthy bullying Britnat nonsense, will not be tolerated. If you want to be abusive go to a Britnat site where your right wing BS is greeted with glee. Last warning.
Arthur: it is not bullshit. It can all be verified. Of course the SNP never said anyone interfered because there is no evidence for that. That is not what I said. The Electoral Commission did not even keep a separate record for the postal votes, so they are in no position to say anything. I did not make it up. As I said, all verifiable. The politics programme where the Labour party spin doctor, John McTernan, stated that YES had lost the referendum because they had lost the postal vote – and stated four days before the polling station vote – will be in the BBC archives. Also, on the BBC, Ruth Davidson’s wee slip of the tongue on polling night. I recognise you from The Scotsman and Herald, with your ‘Soar Losers’. It is not bullshit. Your nose is too near your own rear end to know the difference. As for Roddy living elsewhere, no one here is going to blame him for that. You and your Unionist friends have made this country of ours a living hell for so many.
Many more Scots would stay in Scotland if they had meaningful work here hope and didint have a racist Westminster government that actually prevented trade with there neighbouring countries. All so that the toffs can hid there money in off shore tax havens. Brexit was paid for by the Russian oligarch’s , Rule Britannia take back control for the mafia state.
Yeh Lorna I think your right .BMJ was reporting a lot more deaths till the Torys put the screws on them. Probably put a D notice on it. Thats what the corupt rotten to the core Unionists do. They have taken over Wales and were next unless we get away.
Definition of colonial country one which is controlled politically and economically by a separate country. Dose this to ring a bell. UN recognised Ireland as a colony of the UK. What is the difference with Scotland.
Clearly in Scotland we have been attacked by a very cunning from of the Coronavirus. Ours is a type that can specifically target certain individuals at specific events whilst leaving others well alone:
1. Independence referendum campaigns are highly vulnerable but election campaigns are safe
2. SNP in-person conferences – even ones with only 500 people in attendance – are susceptible but not so COP in-person symposiums with 25,000 additional overseas persons invading Glasgow for the latter’s duration
3. The Census in Scotland has had to be delayed 12 months but the process in the other 3 constituent parts of the UK which, despite the latter population being 11 times that of this nation, is immune to their own local virus varieties
In addition the virus is obviously an armchair sports fan as it will not be in attendance during the following occasions in the first third of next year:
1. The World Cup football qualifier against Ukraine in March, when Hampden will accommodate 52,000 folk rubbing
shoulders and hopefully celebrating madly
2. The Six Nations matches against England and France in February when 67,000 fans will be crammed into Murrayfield on each occasion
The First Minister even felt the need to issue a decree to the SNP membership banning all online campaigning towards the beginning of the lockdown in 2020 presumably because the Scottish version of the virus is so clever that it could transmit itself down through the ether, jump out of PCs and infect all end users reading materials in favour of restoring Scottish statehood. Smart indeed. One might even be tempted to think that COVID is a Unionist plant.
And if you think that the virus is that smart then you must be as dumb as Nicola Sturgeon and her cabal considers you to be.
Either that or you believe in Magic.
Thank you, Duncanio…. “Either that or you believe in Magic.
Looks like many ARE prepared to believe in Magic. Magic that the Great Houdini would be justly proud of.
In all my Seventy years, the only Variant I ever saw was made by Volkswagen.
I’ve not seen the SARS-Cov-2, either. But I am content with that because I am told, no one else has seen it either.
And that’s okay because it hasn’t been isolated, therefore not identified or categorised. I am also told the Covid related vaccine is not a vaccine. I am also content with that, since the US Patent Office rejected Big Pharma’s product terminology.
But the main thrust of Roddy’s article is exactly right, IMO.
Sturgeon is playing for time, dancing on the head of a pin, grasping at straws, “doin a Boris”. Choose one, or all if you like?
I believe she may be hanging on for the “End Game”, that is the Global Reset. Hallelujah!….or is it that, that other place beginning with H?
Keep the foot on the gas, Roddy….
“the only Variant I ever saw was made by Volkswagen”
You have to be a certain age to understand that bit, too! We had one; mid-70s.
She needs asked directly why she doesn’t immediately recall the MPs and annul the treaty. Re lockstep, nodding dogs, no control over borders, same old. Don’t piss off the masters, keep your nose clean. Good ol Nicla, bless. Step a bloody side! Another thought, do we at a grass roots non-politucal level need to crowdfund this action and at least somehow financially support the assembly, plus a campaign to make it happen.
Until the next Parliamentary Election we can only agitate. Nicola Sturgeon is the only person that could set this in motion. I think we all know that is not going to happen. Perhaps if the SNP get a bloody nose at Council Elections in May some of the underlings worried about their own seats might put some pressure on her.
My thinking too on local elections but it is a confusing picture with the latest poll showing 55% for indy which must help the SNP leadership. True to form the BBC are slow with the news on anything positive to do with independence and don’t mention the poll or it is well hidden away.
At the end of the day I will support any party which leads us to independence and we can ditch them if required once goal achieved.
I read today that poll was one of those Angus Robertsons special polls that only get put in front of his selected tame preselected group that always give him the Answers he wants to hear. Clearly Angus just rigged another poll to try to take the heat away from Elsie McSelfie. Its all part of the Carrot Dangling plan to keep Sturgeons gullible loyalists sedated for a while.
https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/scottish-news/4551699/snp-independence-expert-mark-diffley/
You have been warned about lying on here. We know that unionism can only be sustained by lies however not allowed on here. The poll was conducted by Ipso Mori a recognised polling company and a founder member of the British Polling Council. Last warning, if you want to lie stick to social media!
STV commissioned the poll from IPSOS-MORI.
Truth and facts allude Arthur one of Jill’s green ink Brigade.
It doesn’t matter a jot what the polls show. All that counts is the vote on the day. We are unlikely to win a referendum, so squabbling about when we are likely to get it, or if we are getting one, is pointless.
Yes its an Ipso Mori Poll
“But Professor Curtice was not convinced the poll showed any solid evidence support for IndyRef2 had dramatically changed as he noted Ipsos Mori had a habit of overblowing their results”
https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1530274/john-curtice-scottish-independence-ipsos-mori-referendum-snp-scotland-news-video-vn
Now why would Ipso Mori overblow their results ?
Mark Diffley worked for Ipso Mori for many years (now works for himself but still uses Ipso Mori because its all his old mates but is doing Angus Robertson/SNP bidding , its all part of Sturgeons pretence of wanting another Indyref but all she really wants is to keep Her gullible worshippers to keep on Voting SNP/Scotgreens.
The SNP is now ramping up the propaganda because its expecting a snap General Election by the Tories to be held in 2023 and will of course tell all Her drones on the run up to it that if they want another Indyref they will need to Vote SNP 1 and Scotgreens 2 because only they can deliver it.
Its just the same old routine over and over and over thst worked for them time and time again and if she wins you all know very well there still won’t be an Indyref because Sturgeon will still be chasing Her Section 30 permission and you all know Johnson is never going give Her it.
SNP will have got what they wanted regardless and will be laughing at all the usual suckers all the way to the Bank.

Arthur you say in your post to me above that you never read the Express but here you are quoting from the Express. I know what that makes you. Have a guess.
And Alin as you say the nusnp or sturgeon groupies and apologists will grab this positive polling as being down to the traitor and her minions , whereas the polling is support for INDEPENDENCE NOT STURGEON who couldn’t spell it , this is the frustrating part that anything to do with independence , marches or protests or good polling results are automatically considered by the MSM and broadcasters to be down to the work of sturgeon and her tartan taliban warriors when we all know the TRUTH , that the traitor is becoming more hated by the day
Mandeep Singh, Alex Salmond, Mark Hirst, Craig Murray. 6 mandates of inaction. The Covid Queens regin must come to an end. Even the Sturgeonites must see this.
“… Yet without a single case or knowing the severity of Omicron Variant, Nicola Sturgeon was already suggesting it might indeed delay her Gold Standard, Section 30 Super Duper Independence Referendum in 2023. Going by past form that sounds like preparing the ground for once again kicking the independence cause into the long grass. The troops will be marched down the hill again. No doubt at the next UK General Election due by December, 2024 Nicola or her successor will be asking for just one more mandate… ”
Yes.
Every variant has probably (I wouldn’t claim definitely, but very probably) entered Scotland via the south because it is a simple fact of UK life (benefit of the Glorious Union) that almost all hubs of travel are based in the south and people must travel via the airport hubs, the ferry hubs, the Channel hubs to get to most places. If these hubs are not controlled, and people enter the UK without having been cleared of carrying the virus, they will spread it far and wide throughout the UK. Therefore, it does make sense to adopt a four-nation approach – in any case, Westminster would withhold funding to deal with the pandemic if we didn’t to the line) but it is a waste of resources and energy of all four governments of the UK if Westminster simply overrides everyone else’s suggestions and experiences, and goes with its own London-centric approach.
Had all the travel hubs been closed down immediately on discovering that the very first variant had entered the UK, instead of plumping for herd immunity, which was the approach adopted initially, and they can deny it all they like, we might have used that experience to ensure that future variants could be stopped from spreading in the same way. The Black Death and the plagues following its first arrival prove beyond doubt that quarantining in the place of origin prevents the spread, as the BD was carried to all corners of the UK by people rushing out of the infected areas.
The tent hospitals set up for isolation were never used either. Had they been, Covid patients could have been treated by a mix of the three armed services’ medics and NHS staff, and kept them isolated from those with other illnesses. The thing with herd immunity is that a virus will take the weakest first, and those were the elderly, especially the confined elderly (in care homes and geriatric wards) who were infected in NHS hospitals by placing Covid patients in open wards and moving geriatric patients to care homes.
Once the most vulnerable are dead or have developed immunity, the virus will start on the next set of people, then the next and the next, until it comes to the youngest – children and babies. This is exactly what is happening now. I’m not an epidemiologist, and would never claim to understand the ins-and-outs of the virus, but those in the know were warning that this would be its trajectory. Where the UK has been exceptional, I think, is in its applying the vaccines, and the NHS has to take the credit for its ability to do this under such circumstances. It would be the ultimate irony if the NHS crumbled under this pressure and had to be privatised, would’t it?
I think we have to accept that there will be no referendum ever, Roddy, and independence will be shelved yet again. Maybe we should accept that and start to look at how we might change matters. All that The National distribution did, for example, was entrench the gradualist approach, as do most of the articles and letters. The gradualist approach did not work before, and that was with a leadership determined to bring about independence; it won’t work now with a leadership determined to undermine it. It requires a completely different approach, a far more radical one, but, in order to do that, we have to discover all the ways that we can move towards independence, and there are those who are doing just that as we speak. We will get there in the end, but it’s going to be an uphill struggle to recover lost ground.
We should be grateful the Liar didn’t get Her way or deaths in Scotland would have been far greater.
https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1417277/nicola-sturgeon-SNP-vaccines-eu-news-coronavirus-covid19-reform-uk-boris-johnson
Arthur the Express is not a trusted link ffs!!!! Don’t embarrass yourself.
Arthur: we will be independent. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but your Unionism will be defeated in the end. The reason? It is unsustainable.
Linking to the Express…ouch!
Lord Beaverbrook, who owned the “news” rag, in days goneby, kept the Express newspaper as a propaganda outlet, nothing has changed on the Express front as far as I’m concerned.
Prehaps the only peoples who are laughing at us are the British state. UN gave Ireland colonial status. Definition of colonial subsevant country, one which its economy and politics are controlled by a foreign country and one which has its resources plundered. Does this ring a bell.
When an elected government, enshrined with the sovereign will of its citizens is rendered unable to enact any mandate from its citizens, we have a travesty of democracy and can be said, for all intents and purposes, to be living in a dictatorship. Dictatorial governance requires a muzzled media and a subverted judiciary as fundamental prerequisites. No further comment required methinks.
Listening to medical boffins on the radio, most have said that the Omicron variation is more contagious which is supposedly good, as the more infectious it is, the more likely that it might be less potent, and ergo should lead to fewer deaths.
As for deaths in Scotland, correct me if I’m wrong, but we count deaths differently with regards to say England, I think, if Covid is suspected (not confirmed we count it as a Covid death) whereas other nations might not.
Of course next years council elections will not be affected by Covid, but an indyref the following year will need to be kicked into the long grass until the Twelfth of Never due to this or a new Covid strain.
“As for deaths in Scotland, correct me if I’m wrong, but we count deaths differently with regards to say England”
Your not often right mind but you are wrong again anyway “The government reviewed this in August and decided that all four UK nations would use the same method to count coronavirus deaths.”
https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-data-idUSKBN29J2TH
Arthur.
So they did count them differently until August, right up until post-peak pandemic, anyway thanks for the update on how they count them now.
I agree with you, Roddy. Scotland is awash with independence-loving politicians. All they have to do is take back that which has been misappropriated over the years. They must make sure we have what belongs to us – nothing more, nothing less. Scotland belongs to her people. English WM politicians might find that a difficult concept to grasp but time, as they say, is a great healer (!!).
It seems though Roddy the Swedish Pm says they didn’t ever have a Herd Immunity Policy ?
https://www.thelocal.se/20210426/today-swedish-pm-stefan-lofven-to-face-questions-over-coronavirus-strategy/
Its hardly any wonder is it that so many Scots died when Sturgeons favourite Dentist tol Scotlands elderly things like this ? https://youtu.be/O1siJcR57AI?t=414
The first step to being an Independent Nation is to behave like one.
A 4 Nation approach!
Fighting Brexit to save England from itself!
Etc
These should have been the opportunity to show leadership and push Independence.
I am ashamed now of the SG. From a powerful force it has become a Westminster lap dog. Only the Sturgeon loyalists are allowed office because the most powerful political force in Scotland is Stonewall’s TransCult.
The People of Scotland are Sovereign but the evidence shows Sturgeon is determined to dictate change and I don’t mean Independence, quite the opposite.
“Time is precious, every day Scotland remains in the union is a danger to the well being of our citizens and nation”
Absolutely spot on Roddy. Its also a truism that if colonialism is not broken, the colonised nation itself will perish. We now have ‘a rusted (Scots) tongue and a moribund culture’, a consequence of three centuries and more of Anglicisation and cultural domination. We are left with only ‘the dregs of culture’, our culture is withering away, and our nation with it, which is the aim of colonialism – ‘to make the territory not appear foreign to the colonizer’s eye’.
And, as the census tells us, Scots are being replaced at a rapid pace, which represents a leakage of sovereignty every day, and will continue so long as we have no control over Scotland’s borders, which is one of the most important responsibilities of any sovereignty nation and people.
You are right, our daeless and petrified independence leaders need to get a move on, we don’t have any time to waste. It would also help if they and more Scots understood what independence is, i.e. decolonisation: https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/2021/07/18/determinants-of-independence-colonialism/
Yeh the Union always has its helpers and quislings ready to sell their soul for English gold or an climate ambassadors role at the UN. 300 years has past and they still have no shame.
Legal documents our colonial masters legal documents dont count .Look a UN Decolonialisation process.

Some people would have you believe the Mother of all parliament’s is sovereign. Let me tell you Brothers and Sisters the people of Scotland are sovereign. We dont need to put up with this charade of a democracy chained to Xenophobic back word looking country which is hostile to foreign national’s and dehumanised refugees. The UK false togetherness is a master slave relationship, If this isint colonialism what is. In northern Ireland’s you can can a referendum every 7 years with 54% of the vote for the EU and stay in the EU. Scotland who has 62% of the vote cant get a referendum and are pulled out of the EU. But some people think we are not a colony. We are 2nd class colonial subjects of England with less rights than the Northern Irish. I pray for the day all my celtic Brothers and Sisters are free from English imperialism.
