The past week or so has been very reassuring and rewarding for an old lefty like myself. Mick Lynch leader of the RMT has been like a breath of yesteryear fresh air to lefties. At the same time he has been the worst nightmare for the right, the bosses, the chattering classes and the Anglo Broadcast media amateurs.

This 60 year old Londoner is no longer just the spokesperson for the RMT. He has become the voice for all the working class as well as his RMT members. He should be a pathfinder for all the Trade Union Leaders to follow. His calm reassurance and manner under the scrutiny of the 5th Column Media or gutter press if you prefer has been a masterclass and a joy to watch. No matter how they try to trick, bait or bully him he continues just talking straight truth in a reasoned and calmly manner. He explains the unions position and grievances and offers a solution out of the current impasse. He offers to negotiate. He is non-confrontational. He is respectful to the other side. He calls out the liars to their face. He smashes the idiotic media interviewers drivel out the park with logic and polite resolve.

He has been accused of being a Marxist, a Trade Union Baron and he just laughs it off. His salary has been made known with the hope of discrediting him in the eyes of the public. The people doing this probably earn far greater sums than Mick, but a small detail like that is of no consequence to the establishment lackeys. The elite in the UK enjoys nothing more than breaking anyone that speaks up about equality or fairness. Thus far Mick is proving to be beyond their bile and hate.

It was a particular joy to watch him being interviewed by Kay Burley on SKY News. This is a lady that thinks she is way more talented than the reality. She is nothing more than an Anglo Imperialist propaganda mouthpiece for the establishment. Like all those involved in our broadcast media she is from and represents, middle class, middle England politics. Her badgering of Mike regarding picketing was a rather cheap and it has to be said, rather amateurish and ham fisted attempt to trip up Mike. She was trying to hint at strife for anyone that crosses a picket line, attempting to conjoure up visions of the miners strike picket violence of 1984-85. Needless to say Mick saw her crassness from a mile off and easily dealt with her idiocy in a calm and reasoned manner. Her overinflated ego was certainly badly damaged by the encounter as her later very childish tweets can attest to. She does not have the mental capacity to outwit our Mick. She shouldn’t be too hard on herself, no other media luvvie has laid a glove on him either!

The London media bubble views only allow their perceived opinions of the world to be acceptable.They want everyone in their place on the UK class totem, especially the working class.This need clouds their objectivity on every matter from politics, housing, immigration, foreign policy, the monarchy. They want a UK wide groupthink, hence all the platinum jubilee garbage that was thrown at the British public recently. It is all about control!

Their right-wing neoliberal view of their bosses has at all times to be at the forefront of every piece of news. They truly believe that only a select few should be allowed an opinion They, of course, are part of that select few! Workers should never ever dispute the managerial class, only obedience and gratitude for whatever their betters decide they are worth is the attitude that is expected. The working class should remain in the lower rung and never challenge the bosses or the media world vision!

Meanwhile, inside the media bubble, the TV news on all channels allows the print media to dictate the news cycle every day. The print media view is that of their billionaire owners. The newspaper editors are only there as gatekeepers for the owners.The last thing on their mind is the fate of the general public.

In turn the TV news and current affairs follow the lead of the dead-tree press.They never set the agenda. That is why all the news channels have a ‘What the Papers Say ‘ slot every day. They are beholding to the press for their daily news cycle. It really is that simple and that pathetic.

Remember too that all our MSM is owned by a few offshore, tax avoiding, right wing billionaires. Men that hate having to pay taxes, but vilify Joe, the plumber for being late with his VAT payment. They hated the EU because they couldn’t manipulate it the way they have captured the British Political system. Rupert Murdoch often boasts about slipping into Downing Street by the back door for discreet meetings with prime ministers. He took it as a personal insult and challenge to his greatness that the EU bigwigs didn’t offer him similar status in Brussels. I think if truth be known that was the main reason his media empire always hated and attacked the EU and its institutions. Even after Brexit their onslaught on Europe and Johnny Foreigner continues unabated.

These people like Murdoch, Rothermere, Barclay while not living in the UK want to decide who can live or settle in UK. They want to choose the governments, our domestic and foreign policy, our allies and enemies. They are to be the sole arbiters of good and evil.They also make it their life work to ensure as many of us as possible have the same prejudices, hatred and world outlook as them. The only place they depart from that is when it comes to taxes, incomes, rules and laws. Those are solely for the poor, not the filthy rich or press barons they have no need to abide by those norms.

This is why over the coming days and weeks you will see more and more personal attacks on Mick Lynch and the RMT strikers. The establishment will try and pit workers against workers, poor against poorer. They will talk of nurses not getting to work causing grannies to die because Comrade Lynch and the Communist anti-Semite strikers in cahoots with Mad Vladimar Putin must be defeated. The Express will no doubt tell us that a ‘no strike policy’ is what Princess Diana would have wanted. Lower wages and compulsory redundancies for rail workers were an even bigger thing for her than clearing away land mines.

They will tell you that rail fares will need to rise dramatically because of RMT greed. What they won’t tell you is any of this,

• The latest accounts for the UK registered DHL Supply Chain Ltd reveal that over £2.7 million was paid to company directors in one year, with the highest paid director receiving an eyewatering £476,000, a rise of nearly 8% from the year previous.

Corporate greed is never highlighted or discussed by our compliant media. Bosses make offers Trade Unions make demands. The use of language and innuendo by the media is what protects the establishment and status quo. Intelligent, articulate working class people like Mick Lynch scare the living daylights out of the spivs and crooks in the establishment that runs the UK.

The establishment and their tame media will put everything into defeating the rail workers. The entire working class of the UK must put in the same effort against the media to see that Mick and the RMT win in this dispute. Ongoing we must continue to back the workers against the parasites that rule over us. If the RMT lose, we all lose, conversely if they win, we all win.

Remember it is not a guy in a railway uniform that has made your life difficult or brought you austerity, unemployment and inflation. It is the guys in the expensive suits and shiny shoes with the posh voices that are the baddies, the crooks and the liars.
