Great interview! I haven’t heard Julie speak before & it was good to hear what she had to say! She’s very knowledgeable & the folks in that area would get a terrific rep if they voted for her! The only game in town now is to replace the SNP.
The SNP is no longer an independence party. Neither is it democratic. Indeed, the Marion Millar arrest, finger printing, DNA taking, threat of taking her children into care and all based upon the allegation of a tweeted ribbon is simply the latest in a line of political oppressions facilitated by a corrupt Police and prosecution acting on behalf of their political masters.
Listening to a thoroughly sensible Julie McAnulty on this interview and contrasting her with some of the absolutely crawling perverted SNP low life that masquerades as SNP councilors close to Sturgeon and her gang, one realises just how out of touch the SNP are with ordinary folks.
The forthcoming council elections are therefore a great opportunity to send a message to Sturgeon. Lets wipe out all of their candidates and replace them with sound sensible individuals committed to independence……….and ordinary mainstream policies that ordinary mainstream people want.

There seems to be a number of people who are calling for unity now. If everyone would take a step back, he or she would see that these are the same tactics being used against former SNP folk that are being employed in the pseudo woke camp against trans issue dissenters.
I do not, and never have, agreed that the wokerati agenda is the distraction that distracts us from independence (although it fulfils that function, too). The pseudo wokerati captured the party at the height of its regeneration after the disappointment of the 2014 referendum. They have brought this about. It has not brought them about. They put the brakes on independence precisely because they had an agenda to push through. It was never a distraction from independence, but a deliberate decision to not progress independence. A large part of the independence movement, both within and outwith the SNP, have been gulled big time.
The glacial pace/the absolute inertia of the move towards independence is a different issue in that it heralds the inescapable fact that the SNP has no intention of taking us to independence. Whether it will be ALBA or another party that takes us there, this split is the inevitable conclusion to the glacial pace/inertia. It is as simple as that. There is no going back now, and no unity is now possible because unity would stifle any renewed push for independence, and cannot even be contemplated until independence is regained. It would signal that we are all willing to be shunted down the road yet again.
Splitting is more or less, to a lesser of greater degree, the process of achieving/regaining independence for all nations that have done so, and it will put us squarely in the path of UK ambitions to keep us tethered, as a more hard-nosed and realistic, yet pragmatic, approach is adopted. There never was any other way but confrontation with the British State. It is the nature of that confrontation that we should be worrying about, not the confrontation itself.
As an aside, I trawled the newspapers to find reports on the arrest of Marion Millar and could find precious little. The first person to be charged under the Hate Crime legislation is not news, apparently, and neither is her possible conviction and jail time for posting the photo of a Suffragette ribbon online which someone with a lower brain cell than digit count decided was a noose threat to great hulking, hairy a***d men. A photograph of a young man/woman with an automatic weapon (which he claimed was a toy) with real, not perceived, threats to kill women has been left alone. The MSM, just like social media, are either cowards, or complicit in the crushing of women’s rights, as they are in the crushing of independence aspirations.
