Excellent interview. Going cannae is fine by me but I would be confident in the careful approach if we had a leadership that embraced the movement and was answering the questions that we need answered with regard to convincing the people that our country is ready. I do not see any evidence of that. Maybe it is going on in secret maybe we are building the things we need when we become independent? If so, I won’t go down on my hand and knees and beg forgiveness but I will carry a deep criticism of myself for the rest of my life. .
Why push away pro independence people and groups who could assist with the process of addressing those questions? We are getting virtue signalling bills in parliament and little else. I have to say that I am losing faith in the current leaderships desire to do this. I lost faith in their stewardship of the SNP as a political party a few years ago just after the EU vote when we got a growth commission rather than a forum to nail down what we need as an Independent country.
