Anyone that has been following the farce down in Westminster these past weeks that still thinks London Rule is Scotland’s best option is either insane or on the UK pay roll.
I watched yesterday as the Brexit pantomime played out at the Palace of Westminster.
It would have been better if it had been staged in a West End theatre and advertised as a true British Farce.
Teresa May kept repeating over and over about the alternative options to the Backstop.
She didn’t actually specify what she meant and when asked on several occasions to be specific she did her usual and just didn’t answer the question.
The last time she tried to push through this measure she told us how in the next stages of Brexit she would involve the devolved nations more deeply.
Two days later her lackey was too busy to meet the delegations from Scotland and Wales.
This time she didn’t even wait in the chamber to hear what Scotland had to say.
It is the ‘custom’ in the English Parliament that the PM makes a statement then listens to the replies from the official opposition and the third party.
The third party now being the SNP and Scotland’s voice of course it is different.
Neither she, the Parliament or anyone else in the Westminster bubble gives two shits about Scotland or its people.
At every opportunity the Anglo-Brits tell us that the voice of the people expressed in the June2016 referendum must be heard and honoured, except for viewers in Scotland.
They must be ignored at all times.
Our vote of 62% -38% is irrelevant, as an English Colony we cannot possibly be treated like a normal country.
This is another of these occasions for Anglo-Brit selective love of democracy.
The Scottish Nation as an alleged equal partner in the British Union only has its decisions recognised when the agree with England’s decisions and narratives.
All other times they have to be dismissed.
Throughout this entire debacle London and the Tories have refused, ignored and then dismissed Scotland and its interests.
The biggest disgrace in all of this is the MPs from 24 constituencies in Scotland currently held by Anglo-Brit Parties.
These so called democrats voted against the will of their own constituents, their nation and the very democracy they profess to support.
In true collaborative style these 24 lickspittles voted for the wishes of the English nation, not the Scottish nation.
They put their loyalty to a foreign country and parliament before their own.
There will come a time very soon when these people will have to face the Scottish voters and explain their duplicity and actions.
In the meantime there is still a couple of Acts of this English Brexit farce to play out.
Angela Merkel last week in her remarks encapsulated the Anglo-Brits perfectly.
She pointed out they never bought into the whole European Project.
They have only ever been interested in the trade and in ways of making money out of Europe.
They have never had any interest in the social policies expounded by the EU.
That said, the Brits have no interest in social policy in the UK unless they can privatise it and make profit for shareholders.
Westminster for over a thousand years has always been a taker, never a giver.
The Imperial days were never about giving the enslaved nations of the empire or their people anything.
It was about stealing their natural resources and wealth to enrich a few people back in London.
It has always been the same nothing changes just the centuries and the characters.
They love to pretend to themselves and others about their glorious past, about the great and noble deeds of the British Empire.
Like Brexit, it is all a fantasy in their tiny minds.
If it was today and the Triangular Trade was in full swing they would spin it as the Brits assisting multi-culturalism by bringing non-white slaves to the Caribbean and The Americas.
They would never admit the truth and say it was a way of making a few very rich individuals even richer.

This greed and desire to make money clouds the thinking of the Anglo-Brits and their little helpers in Scotland.
The Withdrawal Agreement to the Tories is an irritant that they have to get out of the way.
Then they can get to the only thing that interests them, The Free Trade Agreement.
They want all the same trading terms from the EU as we receive now.
What they don’t want is to pay anything for the privileges or have to abide by any rules that reduce profits.
They don’t want the protections for workers or any scrutiny of taxation.
They don’t want regulation on food standards or working practices.
They want to be able to hire and fire at will without pesky EU rules that protect the workers.
They want to force you all to have zero hour contracts and no working time directives.
That way they can have you working 50, 60 or 70 hours a week for the same money they now have to pay you for 37.5 hours.
No more sick or holiday pay, no NHS, private pension or penury will be the new slogan.
They will deny this of course, but if you have any doubts just look at the promises they made in 2014 about pensions then look at the WASPI ladies.
Their rush to get to the money bit has exposed them to the world as duplicitous rogues that cannot be trusted.
The GFA is an International Treaty that the Anglo-Brits signed up to in 1997.
Yesterday they showed they are prepared to drive a horse and cart through this to get themselves in a position to make profits.
Should it result in carnage on the island of Ireland they don’t care.
A few short months ago they agreed with the EU the Withdrawal Agreement.
They signed up to a legally binding agreement on this.
Now because it gets in the way of their money making schemes they wish to re-negotiate the terms.
What kind of message does this send not just to the EU but to every other nation on the planet?
The Anglo-Brits cannot be trusted even after signing up to Treaties and agreements.
They want new FTA throughout the world why would anyone trust them when they show such scant regard to these?
Within minutes of the vote at Westminster Donald Tusk rejected out of hand the chances of re-negotiation on the Withdrawal Agreement.
“The backstop is part of the withdrawal agreement, and the withdrawal agreement is not open for renegotiation.”
French President Emmanuel Macron also said the agreement was “not renegotiable”, while Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said the backstop arrangement remained “necessary”
This, of course, does not stop the delusional Anglo-Brits and their flunkeys in the British Media from pretending to everyone this is just a negotiating tactic and the EU will blink first.
The fact that the country with the most to lose from any weakening of the GFA or a hard Border is the ROI and guess what, they have a veto!
We also know that the EU will back Ireland 100%
Compare and contrast how Scotland gets treated in the British Union.
Yesterday just confirmed what many of us knew already the UK is a busted flush heading towards the abyss.
We need to use our mandate and secede as quickly as possible.
Nicola, if not now, then when?
Just call it we are ready, more importantly the nation of Scotland is ready.

Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
Spot on Roddy and another well written article. For me personally, I’ve been sitting here for months following up articles and reading everything from all the Groups I’m in and wondering ‘When’. When will Nicola trigger it? As you yourself said,Scotland is ready! And after yet another put down in WM last night I’d say every man Jack is ready to vote out of this joke Union. It has to be done swiftly as any more time wasted with these pompous self interest twats is another day lost.
Well said!
Absolutely noone who was watching could have any doubt at all of Scotlands total and complete non-say in the impending English Brexit Calamity.
Of course the Mainstream Media are not exactly shouting from the rooftops.
Probably only us political anoraks watch the raw footage so observe what actually happened.
We need to find a way to communicate to the passive majority, who do not actively observe.
We need a campaign!
p.s. InveterateProofreader adds:
‘has its decisions recognised when the agree with England’s decisions’
reads to me as though it should be ‘when they agree’ ?
‘there is still a couple of Acts of this English Brexit farce’
plurality nitpick suggests ‘are’ ?
I honestly never thought I’d say this as a member and activist of the SNP I have said Nicola knows, she is playing a canny game getting everything ready to strike, just at the right time but I’ve watched a few times over the past few months and thought, right go this is our time now tories are at sixes and sevens call it now catch them off guard don’t give them any warning but nope. My mind is confused am I the only one who watches a confident First Minister meet all these officials and think is she to comfy in this role, will she call our Referendum in time or leave us at the mercy of Westminster. Do we need someone else to take us forward to Indy. This is just my own observations and sorry for the rant 😂😂😂😂😂
IMHO on Thursday the Scottish Budget is due to be approved or voted down.
Should that be agreed I think shortly after Nicola will make her move.
There are too many of our senior MPs and MSPs urging it to believe they have just broken ranks and gone rogue.
I am sure it is part of the strategy and I await the announcement like you with bated breath.
Good post, Roddy, and a good mini-analysis of how you think things will shape up in the next few days.
Excellent post Roddy as always. I think Nicola may be waiting on the inevitable, I feel no doubt No Deal Brexit and I don’t know: if then the Government’s budget somehow fails to pass?
There has to be a Scottish Election? Fortuna fortes adiuvat!
Perhaps my thinking is too Machiavellian or maybe not.
Sadly , I suspect Nicolas ‘announcement within weeks ‘ will be no more than holding pattern meaningless waffle telling us all to ‘start campaigning ‘ blah blah. Anyone hoping for an actual date will be bitterly disappointed.
A date MUST be announced before March 29th or we are doomed , the U.K. Must not be allowed to negotiate with our assets in future trade deals.
It gives me no pleasure to say so , but I’ve thought for months now that the party just don’t have the guts to roll the dice.
Aye- it’s time. Well written Roddy
I agree , it is a great post Roddy and like everyone here I cannot wait for it to be called , but lets not kid ourselves WE all know that the establishment , all the britnat parties know the TRUE wealth of Scotland and the massive economic damage that will hit the ruk when we leave
The tories and the old money establishment are desperate for brexshit to avoid the new tax regulations being introduced by the EU , but I am convinced they will do everything to hold on to Scotland’s wealth including cancelling brexshit , so I don’t envy Nicola’s job of calling it at the RIGHT time , if she calls it too soon it gives the maybot the excuse to canx brexshit , if she calls it too late the maybot could institute martial law and suspend Holyrood
If as some people are concerned the SNP have lost the plot and are too feart or have got too comfortable , what have they got to gain , they would be finished in Scotland , no one would vote for them , look what has happened to liebour in Scotland after all their years of lying to us
I am an old git 68 and I doubt I would ever see another indy ref , but remember guys the 40+ years liebour ruled Scotland there was never ANY mention of independence , it is only since the SNP came to prominence that we have got a sniff of our goal so caw canny we will do it this time
I think that we can agree that no-one, least of all Ms May, knows how Brexit will turn out. If we want to have Indyref2, on the basis of “material change “, then we need to know what that change is. So that means waiting just a little longer, until the excrement hits the air cooler. Calling Indyref if the UK then decides to have a second Brexit referendum (unlikely I know, but not impossible) or an article 50 extension might look very stupid, and could be a strategic disaster. Unfortunately, we have to let this play out a little bit more. But we need to be ready. “Ripeness is all”, as Mr Shakespeare said. Great article though.
I think your advice would be very good if Brexit had been the only material change.
However the changes have just kept mounting from the moment the Referendum result in 2014 was announced.
EVEL , 100+ of our Anendments to the Scotland Bill dismissed out of hand.
The ignoring of all and every single one of our requests for input and dialogue in the Brexit process.
The Power grab, taking our Parliament to the English Supreme Court and overruling a perfectly legal bill by means of delaying and retrospective legislation.
I also am strongly opposed to any Section30 order this implies we need another country’s permission to allow our nation to decide future
I agree with all your points, but the punter in the street, the voter in a referendum, might not know what they are. Personally I can’t wait (even though I live in Italy), but I think we might have to.
Do you think Bannockburn would have been a success if the warriors had said..wait a minute..there’s more o’ them than us… a few more days lads ..Nah the Pink Panther got it right…..there is a time to strike Cato..and it’s now!
Listening First Minister….?
