Webcom Radio is Now Playing: Ocean Colour Scene - Don't Get Me

Through A Scottish Prism 31.10.21

This weeks edition sees my guests Iain Lawson, Michelle Ferns and Phil Boswell discussing the weeks events regarding Scotland. The Budget by the English Chancellor, COP26 and The First Minister’s decision not to promote Independence when Glasgow has 161 World leaders attending and Scotland has been excluded in our own country. The anger is palpable on these discussions. Joining and let us hear what you think.

The Facebook Censors

Unfortunately a number of pro Indy Facebook sites have turned out to be merely pro SNP sites and have blocked a number of bloggers, including myself. We have managed to frustrate these efforts to close us down through our readers sharing our articles and building our audience.Sharing in Facebook is very important and helps the Independence message to reach a much wider audience. In addition many have taken out free direct subscriptions. I very much appreciate this support.

  • A good chat, thanks for sharing.

The impatience for independence is growing. It manifests itself in many ways.

  • Nice talk BB. Glad you came to the same conclusion I told you a few posts ago when I told you that you all voted for her. Even after the Salmond scandal where as a Yoon I believe Salmond all the way. Gave up on AS and Craig Murray when they told everybody to vote for NS. A.S even said she would be a good FM???. Anyway she is putting it off and the reason I think is that it would bring the AS setup right back into the news with bad consequences for Sturgeon. But who am I BB?. Just a Yoon with a view.

  • The mistaken assumption that the SNP is the only vehicle to bring Scotland to independence should’ve, in my opinion, been dumped a long time ago. How often do we need to told by the SNP, by its apparently unassailable leader, indeed, that the so-called party of independence has no interest in bringing Scotland to independence? I would seriously love to know which part of the message it is that the movement is having difficulty in understanding.

All of that aside, though: That was another great episode, thank you. And, you were 100% right, of course, in your prediction last week on BHB: “miraculously” at the eleventh hour, cash was found for the train and bin workers etc. Who, that’s ever put an honest shift in or carried a union card, could’ve doubted it would be lol?

    • And, you were 100% right, of course, in your prediction last week on BHB: “miraculously” at the eleventh hour, cash was found for the train and bin workers etc.

Not just a pretty face Josef🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • I watched your programme again tonight – mainly to witness an SNP member ( politician ) who has seen the light. He gave me so much hope – and he must be one of many. So, at last, Nicola is on the way out.

    • Phil is a thoroughly decent man and honest as they come. There are many like him left in the Party. Our only hope is that they somehow remove the carpet baggers.

  • I’m in total agreement COP26 is a great opportunity being blown by Sturgeon’s feckless incompetence, but even a rare one off event like COP26, is still a much lesser opportunity to push for Independence than 2016 and Scotland’s subjugation and forced Brexit.

Brexit was a material, unconstitutional subjugation, where one sovereign component of a Union Treaty unlawfully subjugated the emphatic democratic will of it’s sovereign “equal”. It is unbelievable that the Treaty of Union was allowed to survive such a blatant act of colonial subjugation.

Sturgeon’s gutless acquiescence has set disgraceful precedents which are an affront to Scotland’s Constitutional Sovereignty. Scotland must defend it’s National Constitutional Sovereignty, and stop treating the miserable Scotland Act as the Nation’s constitution. It is not.

Sturgeon, and indeed Holyrood, should be impeached, and denounced as stooges who turn a blind eye to Scotland’s rights being stolen.

  • Hi Breeks, this needs repeated often…

“Scotland must defend it’s National Constitutional Sovereignty, and stop treating the miserable Scotland Act as the Nation’s constitution. It is not.”

As things stand, we need to progress to ‘beyond Holyrood’.

    Welcome to November 2021.

  • Sturgeon said earlier today:

“”I don’t think anybody is in any doubt about my SUPPORT for Scottish independence. But the focus of the next two weeks is about making sure Scotland’s in a position to lead by example,” she told Channel 4 News.”

She doesn’t think… anybody is in any doubt… ohhhh really?

It’s only ever feigned ‘support’ and never commitment.

    Commitment trumps support.

    • I believe Nicola Sturgeon’s commitment to independence as much as I believe her statement that she is a feminist to her fingertips

      • The exact comparison to make!
She fights for Scotland in the same way as she protects Women’s Rights. Both are irrelevant to her grand plan of being head house jock until the UN job gets delivered.
The SNP campaign for Independence has now been reduced to a Twitter hash tag campaign and a “We Love Nicola” Newspaper which is helping to keep the Unionist Herald afloat.

  • Good afternoon all.

Yeah, the purpose of any genuine First Minister of Scotland should be to proactively LEAD and return us to our default status and previous position of independence. Nae excuses.

At this point in Scotland’s journey… a First Minister merely ‘supporting’ independence is weak and insulting.

The responsibility for supporting an iALBA is for all of us Scottish voting citizens..

Sturgeon is just a failed politician of a now unrecognisible and unfortunately commandeered political party by her and the extended corrupt.

    Other options are available.

  • I’m sick of hearing her say “Everybody knows I am committed to Scottish Independence” or words to that effect. Sorry Nicola – many of us do have serious doubts about your commitment to Independence. Actions speak louder than words. Your actions don’t back up your claim. Simple as that.
