Through A Scottish Prism 19/06/22

This week my guests are Sara Saylers and Phil Boswell. We discuss Nicola’s long awaited starting gun. Is it for real or indeed is she just firing blanks. Is the Unionist backlash real or are they just playing the game? Begging for the Britfest Eurovision Song Contest for Glasgow in the year of the referendum a sign of the lack of strategic thinking in the SNP or an admission that there will be mo referendum in 2023? What will the statement before the close of Holyrood contain? A plebiscite in 2024? A court case? A new secret plan?

Julian Assange rendition to USA what does it say about freedom of the press and freedom of speech in west? Leaving the ECHR good or bad? This and so much more.

  • Roddy, you raised the issue of a new gender called a eunuch.

This is not a new classification of person in Scotland. I think you may have become confused, with the creature in Scotland called a Yoonach.

Unlike yourself a wise Bodach and loyal Albanach, a Yoonach is the snivelling treacherous supporter of the Sassenach. And there are a few of them about too. The big question then of course is what we do with them.

Could we send them to Rwanda. Or would that be unfair on Rwandans. Or what about strong doses of hormone therapy. Or could that make them worse, more aggressive and prone to attacking people and making war.

We could of course add them to the list of LGBTIQ++ and Y. That would soon upset the rainbow alliance with the Yoons causing misery and mayhem.

I trust these few comments in our currently insane world will be a source of positive comment and clarification on the existence of the Yoonach. And if you want an example of a Yoonach can I suggest the closet example of our Nicola.

Their, who said it’s only the LGBTIQ++

Otherwise, good enjoyable prism today. A bit of sense in an insane world.

  • It’s brutally honest to acknowledge that YES 2022 is faltering while in 2014, YES was absolutely buzzing.

While I believe that’s true, it’s not all bad news. We need to understand the Claim of Right and the Constitutional awareness is beginning to buzz, and it is an absolutely pivotal issue that was sorely missing in the 2014 campaign.

YES 2014 was an Independence Referendum using the tools and protocols dictated by the 1998 Scotland Act and Westminster, and the campaign manipulated from start to finish by the BritNat Propagandists.

YES2022 must not draw it’s legitimacy from the 1998 Scotland Act, but instead stand apart from UK legislation and cite the Constitutional rights of Scotland, and Claim of Right.

Sturgeon and Holyrood must not be allowed to sit on the fence and sleepwalk into another 2014 style shambles, and endlessly prevaricate whether Holyrood answers to Westminster or the Scottish people.

Personally, I see it as critical that Sturgeon’s Holyrood needs to be interrogated about it’s Constitutional strategy, and before we go too much further down this 2023 IndyRef, we need to know where Holyrood stands and where it’s allegiance lies.

What “actually” codifies Holyrood if / when Scotland rejects the Westminster white sovereignty of the 1998 Scotland Act, and pledges it’s allegiance to the red sovereignty of the Scottish people and the Claim of Right?

We NEED to know, and know before we fall in line behind Sturgeon’s enigmatic non-campaigning campaign.

The other good news, is that the cynicism we have for the Media is now rampant. People are now scathing about the UK propaganda, and that too is much healthier state of affairs than 2014. If we can “contain” the problem of Sturgeon’s bizarre leadership, then YES 2022 might quickly find ourselves in a good place.

It is down to us, the people, to make it known what we will or will not accept. We need focus.

  • Great Prism amigos n amiga .

Phil , if yr square go offer is accepted n any bams on their side tryn jump in , gies a shout , masel n the lads n lassies will gie ye hauners , nae problem .

As Willie says above …. Prism is an island of sanity in a turbulent sea of political/social babbling idiocy and deceit . As is your blog amic ( how’s your Catalan coming on ? 🙂 )

  • It looks as if a campaign for Independence might be about to break out.

I’m regarding it as a potential virtuous circle. I admit to being a sceptic about whether a referendum will actually happen in 2023, BUT I am going to put that scepticism to one side and behave as if it really is going to happen.

If we all start to campaign, then we will create a momentum for independence, and that in itself makes it more likely that a referendum or an alternative “democratic event” will actually happen.

    So let’s get to it.

  • Great prism show again, Roddy, Sara and Phil. Can I just say that I don’t believe the SNP can pull this off without miring themselves in Real Politik. The more they try to dance on the head of a pin, the more they draw people in, and the more they draw people in, the greater the expectations. Heaven help them if they fluff it – deliberately or otherwise – because there will be no forgiveness for the leadership and its cohort. They will be held to account, and they can retire to their fastnesses if they want, it won’t save them from what will follow them to their graves: the complete opprobrium and loathing of the Scottish independistas and their names languishing in the mud throughout Scottish history, and forever, as thr names of th collaboators of Vichy France are still remembered with disgust. A betrayal on this scale will never be forgiven.

Never. Neither will the women of Scotland forgive the betrayal of half the population for the sake of a cohort of men in frocks, the vast majority of who are sexual fetishists who bleat about their human rights but give not a toss about anyone else’s. When did it become a human right to act out your perversions on the public who have not consented to being co-opted? In the end, the law will have its pound of flesh when those who participated in this madness will be brought to book. Let us take note of the names now and pursue them when the right time comes if they don’t drop this insanity. Anyone in Holyrood who professes not to understand what the problem is or who actually believes this utter b***s**t is not fit to govern, or even to be an elected representative, so f*** off now or you will be brought to answer for your monumental stupidity or vile spinelessness.

Sara: Professor Ian Campbell, public law (constitutional) expert, and latterly of Liverpool University, might be a lawyer to talk to. I’m sure the university would be able to put you in touch with him, if he is still around, and he might be willing to offer advice, if nothing else. He is a very learned person, a judge, etc., and he does appear to be in support of Scotland’s constitutional rights. If he is amenable, he might put you on to others who would be willing to help. I think I did suggest before that the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland might be the place to go to, as well. All lawyers in Scotland or who have ever lectured, or practised, in Scotland will read it. A well-written essay on the Scottish constitutional tools you have uncovered, I should imagine, might be welcome, albeit most lawyers are pretty ‘conservative’ with a small ‘c’; a lay person’s viewpoint would be a novel change for them.

Or you could advertise in the Journal. Young student lawyers might well jump at the chance to work on something constitutional if you could supply them with the materials. Many a PhD has ended up being co-opted into a larger project. There are lawyers out there who are in favour of independence, and Scots Law is at risk of elimination just as much as Scotland if the UK has its way. The Treaty, the Claim of Right, etc. are just the red meat that an academic lawyer might want to sink his or her teeth into. It’s worth a try. Your launch of SALVO might just be the opportunity to contact the media and try to entice out a constitutional lawyer of two who doesn’t toe the establishment line. They do exist, especially in academic circles, but you need the publicity to draw them out.

Phil is so right about the algorithms: a leak recently stated as much. Certain words and phrases are built into the algorithms to trigger a reaction from Twitter/Facebook, etc. This is down to the Big Tech companies who work hand-in-glove-with Big Pharma and other ‘Bigs’, all backed by billionaires who are very likely of the psychopathic persuasion. The leak also suggested that individual techies, sitting at their desks, many of them incels, have primed the algorithms themselves. I don’t know how much of that leak is true, but it sounds about right, considering that the most vile, porn-sodden ‘trans’, deranged people seem to get away with blue murder while females are hunted off the fora with very peculiar regularity for the most innocuous gender critical comments. The same must surely apply to ‘news’ algorithms, with certain words and phrases throwing up adverse reactions.

  • Just back from holiday yesterday, tried to watch the prism today, and it has been blocked by the guardian. What the hell? Going by comments it was another great prism, anyway I can view it Rodney? I watch ALL prisms..
