The ALBA Party has welcomed the findings of Survation polling, pointing to a political breakthrough for ALBA. The poll commissioned by the strategic advisory company True North also shows independence support rising to 48 per cent across Scotland.
The ALBA Party Chair Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh said;
“This is the third opinion survey in a month which shows ALBA on course to win seats in the Scottish Parliament and it is the first time that the Party has registered in a Survation Poll.
The survey places us at 3 per cent across the country but at a breakthrough 6 per cent in the YES city of Glasgow where independence support is now measured at almost 60 per cent. That is a great boost in the wake of the mighty AUOB rally at Glasgow Green last Saturday.
The ALBA Party move into our Conference in Inverness next Saturday with a real spring in our step. We are the party with the plan to get the independence cause moving forward, and back once more on the front foot.
The Survation poll shows yet again that while the SNP may be in trouble, support for independence is strong and rising. The ALBA Party calls for the Independence Movement to take leadership of the campaign, independent from any political party, and for the independence parties to unite under one banner at next year’s Westminster elections are gathering strength and will get a full airing at our Conference in the Highland capital.”

When the @albaparty was launched last year immediately the SNP mocked them using the MSM one senior SNP MP who I know personally told me that ”the Alba Party were going nowhere” This was a few months ago at an Edinburgh March so be careful what they wish for because it had backfired on the SNP!
Fantastic news! At last we’ll see movement towards our goal. INDEPENDENCE!!
Independence and the SNP have always been separate, but connected. That is the lesson that many on both the Unionist and SNP loyalist sides did not learn. Independence is always a people-led phenomenon, not a party-led one. The party picks up the mantle and takes independence forward on behalf of the people. It is a fundamental lesson of politics that must be learned, but the SNP refused to learn it, as, indeed, did the Unionists. Playing the game is the second lesson that has to be learned, and we have seen that with Sinn Fein, deeply republican, playing the royal game, recently in the understanding that it is a game, with rules and limits and an ending.
Beside other independence movements and parties, the SNP comes across as both irredeemably naive and bone-headed at one and the same time, not to mention irretrievably gullible as far as the ‘trans’ issue goes. Because they do not understand the game, they think that no one else does, while the ‘trans’ lobby in particular, has played them like a fiddle, literally a fiddle. They still evidently believe that devolution is what this lobby will settle for when everything points to his lobby never being satisfied until Scotland is a desert for critical thinking, intellect, innovation and forward thinking. It sits like a dark parasite, sucking the life out of the party, of all Scotland’s institutions and its people.
ALBA will have to give people hope that it will be dealt with – and not by some far-off Bill of Rights, etc. – but by weeding them out one by one and destroying their SNP base. To do that, and to have a real chance at turning the tide towards independence at last, it has to start establishing rooted branches all over Scotland, in every constituency. Its seeming hope that the SNP will turn to it and, miraculously, reach out for detente is misplaced. This lobby has shown, time after time, that it does not do detente, it does not do debate, it does not so reaching out to others.
It is rooted firmly in totalitarianism and authoritarianism, not to mention, an ultimately nihilistic social and biological cul-de-sac. What ALBA and the other independence alliance, including the YES movement, needs to comprehend is that this cabal, pulling the strings of the devolutionists and me-ists, actually operates the SNP – which is why it cannot be fixed from the inside or persuaded to co-operate.
That is why ALBA needs to strengthen its own roots substantially before the next SE and it must gird its loins against infiltration by this monster. To boot, Labour will not ally with the SNP – if it even wins the GE, which is not a dead cert, by any means. In England, the forces against the monster are massing, and Labour has swallowed the propaganda and will pay the price, despite its council election showing. Ditto the Lib Dems. Many, many English people are determined not to fall to this ideology as Scotland has by playing the game on their own terms. We would do well to learn from that. They are not always wrong.
Alex Salmond recently said that in politics things can change very quickly
Given how Nicola has disappeared like a Paul Daniels magic trick gone wrong, and how Alex himself was cheered onto the stage at recent march in Glasgow, just how accurate was he ?
The change is happening right now and very visible given the ludicrous child like policies by Greens and SNP it is clear to see they are a match made in hell and that i where their vote is heading…and fast
Good news. Once the 6% breakthrough has been achieved in elections, in any part of Scotland, the optimistic psychological value for Alba and Scotland will be huge.
Just heard: Edinburgh Council has awarded a wodge of cash to Stonewall for inclusion in its diversity scheme. Meanwhile, public services are being cut. Prepare for revolution, folks, because it is coming, and, with it, the advance of independence. First, the rainbow warriors get cleared out of everywhere, then we go for independence. It has to be that way round if Scotland is to survive the madness. The people will not take kindly to the ‘trans’ lobby receiving cash when their services are being cut or demolished, their bus passes taken away, tuition fees introduced, school meals done away with, and so on. These people really are unhinged and deranged, naive and malevolent towards those they disapprove of and cannot manipulate – women, older people, sensible men.
“First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.”
IMO, Alba are already past the first two stages. Progressing slowly but surely. They may still pretend that Alba doesn’t exist. They may continue to chuckle nervously for a while, but the big fight is coming, that’s for sure. Be prepared!
