It is the week where King Cherlie of England gets to put on his 19th century garb and the big English Crown with all the knocked off gemstones and talk about ‘his government.’ Before that he gets into a gold carriage and goes to the Palace of Westminster to tell the proletariat to pull their belts in another notch because the nation is skint!
When he says the nation is skint, he of course, is not talking about himself, his dysfunctional family or the English elite. They are positively rolling in wealth. The more the rich can steal from us the poor, the richer they become.
Each year they take a little more and tell us we need to pay a little more in taxes. Accept a little less in our pay settlements. Get by on the pittance that is the UK pension or welfare payments. They get the gain, we get the pain. It is the UK Union way. Suck it up plebs!
Meanwhile, the offshore banks in Panama, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Bermudan vaults are overflowing with our national wealth and all tax free!
Our new PM Sir Keir Starmer had Cherlie tell us there is no money to abolish the Rape Clause or the Bedroom Tax. There is of course, £3 billion spare to send to Kiev to kill Ukrainian and Russian kids. There is money to send arms to Israel to kill Palestinian kids. However, there is no money to lift kids out of poverty in Scotland or anywhere in the Union.
Not to worry though, the kids of the Saxe-Gotha Coburg line will not go without. Nor will the children of the elite. They will do just fine under the English Business Party called Labour. That ‘change’ you were promised was only the face and voice telling you to expect less and pay more!
Kate Forbes says she will cooperate with the UK Government to enact English Government policies in Scotland. We know from last week Stephen Flynn wants to be best buddies with Scottish hating Mr Speaker Hoyle. Independence fighters eh?
Labour intends to have a Council of the Nations and Regions. Guess who will be the dominant force in that, spoiler it wont be Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. This is being formed for one reason only, to weaken the devolved governments and strengthen England’s dominance over the Celts.
Watch as Westminster bypasses Holyrood, Stormont, Senedd and funds Local Councils and slowly but surely strips away the authority and powers of the devolved parliaments. Suddenly, the Mayor of York or Manchester will have the same status as the First Ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Watch as Northumbria County Council is quoted by English Ministers in the same breath as they mention the devolved parliaments.
This is just the thin end of the Anglo wedge. Our devolution is going to go.
Our panel of Phil Boswell, Lloyd Quinan and Eva Comrie join me to discuss the King’s Speech and its implications. They do not hang back with their words or opinions. Indeed, our Phil was particularly incensed this week. So if you are of a nervous disposition or strong language offends you easily I respectfully suggest this weeks podcast is perhaps not for you!
We note that a recent Social Attitudes Survey shows that less than 50% of Scots actually trust the Scottish Government. Down from 70% in 2014. Hardly surprising after 9 years of Sturgeon the destroyer and Yousaf and Swinney the puppets of the Sturgeon.
The jailing of sexual predator Cameron Downing for horrific sexual assaults and other assorted crimes is indicative of the people promoted by Sturgeon and her cabal. This guy was an SNP Equalities officer! Promoted while people of the calibre of Joanna Cherry or Angus Brendan MacNeil were cast onto the back benches at Westminster!
We also discuss other gender warriors, Cameron Allan and Dylan Brister who this week are awaiting sentence for a horrific sexually motivated, drugging, raping and murder of a young father. It is believed Allan is the same person that stood behind several SNP MPs ,MSPs in Buchanan Street with the ‘Decapitate Terfs’ placard. Is it any wonder the Scottish public have turned against the SNP? People have rightly lost trust in a government that put these deviants and their desires before the Nations independence? Gender issues before Scottish independence. Well the chickens are coming home to roost Nicola, take a bow!
We had Mhairi Black this week trying to distance herself from the ‘SNP Implosion’ which apparently she had seen coming for years. Really, Mhairi? Of course, like Stewart McDonald, Alyn Smith, John Nicolson, Nicola Sturgeon ,John Swinney. Humza Yousaf and many more in the cabal, it was absolutely nothing to do with her or her drag queen friends in primary schools.
The SNP leadership and inner circle just refuse to accept responsibility for the mess both the SNP and nation finds itself in which has allowed an English Labour Party the perfect conditions to start stripping away our devolution.
As if to rub salt into our already open wounds this week it was announced that there are plans to build a Hydro Energy Plant at Loch Awe. This plant will be able to cheaply produce enough energy to power 4.2 million homes! This is fantastic news except, Scotland only has 2.1 million homes! Guess where this cheap electricity will go? Guess who will benefit and who will not benefit? Hazard a guess which country will house the company that carries out this engineering feat?
At Westminster it took a Tory MP David Davis to once more invoke Parliamentary Privilege and expose the corruption in Scotland around the false charges brought against the former First Minister Alex Salmond. While all decent law abiding Scots welcome Mr Davis for highlighting the corruption and democratic deficit in Scotland and naming Liz Lloyd as the Daily Record leak. We should all be as enraged as Phil Boswell that no Scottish MP in this or the previous Parliament had the courage to do what David Davis did this week!
Too many put party before nation. We need radical change in how we do politics in Scotland.
We also saw that the 9 remaining SNP MPs scurried out of the chamber before the Davis revelations. Our independence warriors once more putting the party before the nation! Shame on them!
Until we lance the boil that was the corrupt Sturgeon regime Scotland and its independence cannot get back on track. We need the liars and deniers brought to account. We need the truth to be told and the guilty to be punished.
All this and more discussed on your favourite Scottish Political Review podcast.
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
What the English government plan to do was pointed out years ago when it was first brought up along with the English government writing into English law what has thus far only ever been convention. People didn’t want to know and tried to dismiss it. Like so many things it is only when it is too late that folk start to pay attention. Maybe now folk will take heed.
I think if you look through the articles here and watch the TASP back catalogue you will find we have been warning of this for years!
A dark projection and all too likely now we have exposure of the corruption of SNP .
10 years of wasted effort by 10s of thousands of independistas.
We so badly need the type of people in Scottish politics that Ireland has in Sinn Fein.
When will they rise up . People like me are too old and my die before the cause is resurrected, sadly.
Excellent show Roddy.
Aye, colonial Scotland is treated as a ‘Dependency’, which implies that we are ruled indirectly by ‘dependency complex’ native elites and ‘collaborators’, including the national party leadership, as Freeport Forbes admits. Divide and rule policies and manipulation of the people are the tools of the oppressor, as we see in the past decade of national party actions and laws which ‘mystify the people’ (Fanon).
How politics ‘works’ in a colony is clearly quite different from politics in an independent country. In running a colonial regime the national party elite behaves like a gang; they protect the colonizer’s interest, allow plunder to continue. ‘Confidential agents are pensioned off at high reward’. The task, as we see, is to take the independence movement up a blind alley, attack the ‘radicals’, and prevent independence. Devolved governance is colonial governance, aka ‘indirect rule’.

Yes, on electricity we need independence to move from what are the highest energy prices in Europe to virtually free energy, and allowing us to invoice for production that is being stolen from us – soon £100 billion a year worth of kW to add to oil and gas plunder:
https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/2024/04/18/the-realities-of-an-energy-rich-scotland-plundered-under-colonial-rule/
And on the cost of colonialism, the value of plunder is easily calculated from current GDP-per-capita analysis – i.e. at least £150 billion a year:

Independence is therefore decolonization – sae lat aw doun-hauden Scots fowk ken.
Thank you Alf,appreciated.
This is a post I made (unhappily) elsewhere today:
“Perhaps increasingly of a worry – has the Yes movement also lost trust in and of itself. The degree to which we witness attacks between the differing fragments we have become and now inhabit seems to increase rather than diminish. In 2014 we (perhaps naively imho) were one, now as time has passed we have matured(?) into very different. and all too often competing personalities.”
If that is in any way accurate and reflective of where we are today – it does not bode well.
Cracking Prism, gang, and Phil’s meaty words should not put anyone of sense off because it’s what we all want to say. Can’t agree with him on ‘trans’, though – no such thing. Only people who need help in other ways. The minute we start to call people ‘trans’ at their behest, we have thrown the game. Same with independence – don’t use British State words to explain ourselves. Play them AT their games, but don’t play their games. That ism the cardinal lesson from Sinn Fein’s success – although, they, too, have been fooled by the ‘trans’ lobby and are liable to be eaten alive from the inside.
Independence will never be a panacea, but it is the answer to many problems we have: we cannot utilize our own resources and target them at our own needs without independence. So much requires full independence, but we are being led by the nose again, as the big English regions will be given autonomy on an even greater level that Scotland has, and they will, not might, but will, become rivals for trade and business. They will be able to tout for having Scotland’s siphoned-off resources processed in their areas and returned as a quota to Scotland for far more than the unit cost. This is already happening. The other thing is that we will be by-passed when energy pipelines from the Scandi countries are fed straight into the northern English counties. Again, plans are well-formed in this area. We should have gone in 2015, or, at the latest, 2016. After that, it was already too late because the UK Framework was already mostly in place as an idea, if not as an actuality.
The SNP, the Greens and the ‘trans’ lobby which infiltrated these parties, and knocked them completely off-course, are entirely to blame. Stop blaming the UK: England will do what England has always done. We know that, but, still, we loitered and loiter; far too many still believe that the SNP can pull the rabbit out of the hat. It might, if it wanted to, but it does not. The fools of history are rarely remembered. People and history moves on and forgets.
