  • All laudable sentiments with which I agree.

However, I see even from your webpage some tweets – not yours – referencing the on-going spat between some high profile Independentistas who recently left the Alba Party and some equally high profile members of the Alba Party.

How can we combine for the common goal when this stuff continues?

  • That’s a great analogy Roddy. Scotland becomes a “normal” independent nation in international football and rugby, and how good does that feel ? The grassroots support from Queen of the South to Brora Rangers and other lesser teams in between unites on international occasions to support our national team. Politicians need to learn from this.

  • Support for independence is c.50% and that’s without a charismatic leader. Imagine how greater the figure would be for independence if the movement had one. There doesn’t seem to be anyone who’s willing to take on the role. Sadly, unfairly, Alex Salmond has just too much baggage to return to the fore. In Scotland Yousaf is happy to fart about with devolution [big fish in a small pond] and in London Flynn is content to play childish Westminster games.

Is there someone just under the radar which we should be looking out for?

  • Agree wholeheartedly. The only test for me in life is evidence, real evidence. Due to whatever reasons the SNP have avoided etc from the needed and necessary head on confronting of the establishment. With this, they have provided the gullible, malleable and loyal with hope in the shape of orange 🥕 and green. This has created a virtue of “we are powerful..and you need to trust us”. Any threat or disagreement now to them has and is met with hostility by there troops. They nurture the virtue of loyalty to and protection of Party over country. Will they, the groupthink loyalist ever wake up? I don’t think they will. It is up to those with courage to change who will be the facilitators of the real pursuit of independence and the needed actions. The work of Salvo, the grassroots, the Independents shining the light on Independence, the film ‘The Union on Trial’.
