With our midweek specials we tackle topics though not directly related to our independence are always factors we need to take into account. One day, hopefully soon, Scotland will be an independent nation. At present all our foreign policy is decided by English Nationalists in London. Most of the time the English world view does not agree with the Scottish worldview. This was never more apparent than with Brexit.
When Scotland’s moment of Liberation comes, we need to be ready to enter the game of world diplomacy. To do that we need all the facts, not just the ones manufactured from London.
In Scotland, being the poodle of England is bad enough without also being forced on us to be a US poodle too. The English love pretending to themselves that they are a big world super power. The reality is, of course, the exact opposite. The UK lives in the shadow of the world’s biggest bully and attempts to get reflected credit from being that obedient little American lapdog.
We Scots are also less inclined to support the British foreign wars or policies. We feel more attachment to our Celtic neighbours than the Anglos. We also feel a kindred spirit with our Scandinavian neighbours. Who in Scotland does not know of the Auld Alliance with France?
When we go on holiday or business trips overseas we see and feel first hand the change in attitude towards us when it’s discovered we are Scots and not English. While almost universally in England they take the side of US in every foreign policy decision, we Scots are more circumspect and like to take our own viewpoint not have it decided for us. Sadly, their view always prevails.
This latest outbreak of violence in Western Asia is a case in point. Where the English politicians immediately decided to support Israel as always. Despite daily war crimes being wrought upon the Palestinians by Israel, you will not hear a word of criticism against the illegal occupiers. Well, you haven’t in 57 years, silly to think that will change anytime soon.
The Israeli lobby quickly ensured that the flag of Israel was to be flown on all UK Government Buildings. I am proud to see that at last some pushback from the Scottish Government who refused the edict from London to place the Israeli flag on the Holyrood roof. Bravo!! No flags and neutrality should be our cry.
As with matters appertaining to Scottish independence, Scottish wealth and natural resources. The Ukraine war, Yemen, Iran North Korea, Syria, Palestine, the English run government in London wants to control the narrative you hear!
In this latest killing spree in the region, the account is to be, we the UK along with the other good guys, US, Israel, EU are defending democracy. Meanwhile, those dastardly brown Muslim type terrorists at the behest of the evil Russians and Chinese are trying to take over the world. They have launched an ‘unprovoked’ attack on those lovely, kindly never done a thing wrong ever Israelis. Israel has a right to defend itself and use whatever nears possible.
The Palestinians, though, are not allowed to fight back against their oppressor, unlike the Ukrainians. The Ukraine must be armed to the teeth by the collective west. Palestine is to be condemned by the collective west for the exact same resistance! Also anyone that attempts to arm the Palestinians is to be condemned. I know, I cannot square that circle either! Ukrainians heroes against big bully. Palestinians terrorists against their big bully!
To keep you onside the lobby has already deployed the kidnapping, raping and cutting off babies heads lies! This tactic sates back to WWI and was used against the Germans in Belgium. Thought up by the British,of course!
In Palestine paint the oppressed as the bad guys and the occupier as the good guys. The exact opposite of what they want you to think in Ukraine. If you want to keep up, follow the money and check who controls the natural resources and banking in that country!
It is a war crime and against all international laws for any state to deploy collective responsibility towards civilians over the acts of others. Israel has ignored that law for 56 years. It is ignoring it once again today. You will not ghear any condemnation from our political or media class as Israel continues to bomb civilian areas. The west will ignore all Israeli war crimes. The hypocrisy is massive.
The name of this podcast was chosen specifically because I was sick and tired of hearing everything through the Prism of England. That is why today I am pleased to bring you a different view and narrative of what is happening in Palestine.
I oppose all wars and because of that, ill educated buffoons and armchair generals call me a Pro Putinist and Pro Russian because from the day the Russian SMO began I have been pleading for an immediate ceasefire.
After today because I make the same plea stop the killing in Pakestine and Israel. I call on both sides, stop killing each other! Let’s have an immediate ceasefire and settle this by peaceful means. Apply international law, and we could end the 75 years of death and violence in the West Asian dispute, tomorrow.
I am joined by Finbar Markey and Lloyd Quinan to bring you some news and views about the latest events from Palestine, details and opinion you will not hear from the captured politicos and media parasites in UK.
No doubt by the end of this podcast I will not only be a Pro Putinist I will likely be called an anti-semite, holocaust denier for daring to plead for a ceasefire and a negotiated settlement!
Unlike the corrupt western media we are not trying to feed you our viewpoint. We are giving you alternative facts and opinion. Like everything else from Prism it is up to you to make up your own mind about what is right and what is wrong.

Many Israelis do not go along with this, and the re election of the ultra right-wing Netanyahu was a signal that Israel would push forward into Palestine, creating more and more kibbutzes, to be filled with Americans and other Jewish people from other parts: Israeli expansionism. Israelis took to the streets to protest against the Zionist fundamentalists.
This has always been a matter of two sides in Israel itself, and two sides in the conflict, and Israel has always been supported to the hilt by America. I heard someone say this week that the Palestinians were not a united people in 1945, not a nation, but nomadic tribes. Nonsense. Arab villages were destroyed by Irgun between 1945 and 1948. Fields grew oranges and lemons and limes and other orchard fruits from that area. Nomadic peoples could not sustain orchards. These were taken over by kibbutzim. It is armed kibbutzim who are the worst perpetrators of violence against the Palestinians, and the aim has always been to expand further and further into Palestinian territory – illegally in international law. The Philistines are the present-day Palestinians, and they were always in the Middle East, and were always enemies of the Israelites.
Finbar lost me when he tried to say that war rapes do not happen. They bloody do happen. Those armed Hamas militia did gang rape that lassie. The original unblurred video showed her bleeding from her groin area, and her trousers were soaked in blood, and she had been badly beaten, too. If we are going to peel apart the propaganda on one side, let’s do the same the other way, too. All conflicts end in female rapes on a large scale because it is used as intimidation against the ‘enemy’ – and because the females are unarmed and easy prey. Armed men are going to fight back. There is a lesson there for females, a terrible one, and this young woman was accused of being in the militia, which has not been proved at all. Has Finbar never heard of the Berlin rapes where females aged from six or seven to eighty and over were brutally raped? Has he never heard of the West Pakistan-East Pakistan war? Of Nanking? of Rwanda? Of the Congo? All military forces rape females in war zones, friend and foe alike, although there might be a lesser and greater degree.
I do agree with Finbar that the Americans are over-stretching themselves, interfering in every area of the planet. Someone said that they were the only country in the world that has never been a colonizer, but has colonized just about everywhere with its ideas, but I disagree about Corby, albeit he was deliberately undermined. He was never a friend to Scotland, as left-wingers never are, in common with their right-wing compatriots. As an English only PM, he might have done well, but, as a British MP, no. The UK cannot move without American say-so and is just as culpable as America.
Lloyd is right on that UN Resolution 242 – the two state solution – with the 1947 borders pertaining. This would require a huge withdrawal from the kibbutzes and a rejection of the anti semitism narrative in the rest of the Western world. The Israeli government criticism and anti semitism are two very different things, as many Jewish people and Israeli people understand. It is not hard to comprehend how both sides feel because both must feel isolated and in danger of elimination. Lloyd and you are right: this has to be solved by talking to each other. No other way. Israel must accept that Palestinians have a right to exist and exist in their own state and allow a corridor between Gaza and the West Bank, access to water, etc. The Palestinians must accept that Israel proper (1947) must be recognized and that this land is never going to be returned. It is very hard, but it must be done.
The rape claim is patently untrue. Western sources consistently make such claims in war to justify the unjustifiable. I’ve seen images and video of the girl emerging from the Jeep. No groin stains. You have the facility in this comment box to share the images you claim are proof Lorna. I will be producing a video this evening debunking the atrocity porn being shared to justify the genocide of the Palestinian people including this claim. I will publish on this reply string tomorrow. No, I can’t put it on here, Finbar, because I don’t have it, but I did see it. Why was her dead, stripped body paraded like that? Although there are Christian Palestinians, neither Christianity nor Islam permits such treatment of women or of dead bodies. I have heard that she might have been a soldier, and, therefore, a combatant, but the music festival was a peaceful festival full of young people and children. They were not combatants. I’m not saying that the Israelis do not commit horrendous crimes against the Palestinians, because they patently do, and nor do I doubt that Israel will try to seize Gaza or as much of it as they can get away with, but, please, don’t try and say that rapes are not happening in every war zone. If anything, they are far, far worse than we ever know, and I have no doubt that it happens the other way round, too. However, if you have evidence to refute that that she was raped, I will be glad to see it.
Apparently, the figures on femicides stand at almost half a million annually, worldwide. In ten years, that is almost five million women, probably all unarmed, killed by male violence worldwide. That is the dead, not counting the injured and brutalized and mutilated, and not counting war casualties. These dead women were killed because they were women. Do females not count as human beings? Where are the voices calling for the cessation of the killing of women in such huge numbers? Why are our rights always the first to be taken away or to be handed over to others and we are forced to fight for them over and over again?
I have been on Finbar’s site on Youtube, but still no evidence to refute the rape of that girl. I have watched the video again, and, as she is pulled from the jeep, you can see her face, you can see that her knees are bloodied, that she has been struck and that the groin area of her trousers are soaked with blood, too. It is either that, or she wet herself with fear and she has been stained with red desert sand totally reminiscent of blood, but it looks exactly like blood. The fact that her naked body was paraded around on the back of the jeep later would suggest that she was violated before being killed. I have read that the videos are fake. If they are, then it should be fairly easy for someone with the know-how to prove it. I am not taking sides because I see both sides, and there are two sides, not just the one. All people, whoever they are, deserve to live their lives free from violence and hatred. If that video is correct, and if the hostages, mainly women and children, have been murdered, then those men with guns, shouting the name of their God, are abject cowards. Killing unarmed civilians, whether from the air, with rockets, or by shooting or other means is the way of weak men.
When you see what the Israeli state is doing there is no difference between the Israeli regime and that of 1930s Nazi Germany no one can fail to see that they are exactly the same.
The world cannot allow this behaviour and these neo Nazis need to be stopped.

Good to hear a broadcast that is balanced and truthful and very much an antidote to the appalling propaganda that we are fed by our establishment masters.
What is happening in Gaza is against every tenet of decent humane human behaviour. Incarcerating 2.3 million people and cutting off there electricity, gas, water, food and medicines whilst fighter jets pound civilian areas killing many, women and children is state war crime. No ifs, no buts.
And to try and justify and encourage support for such action we now have the state sponsored lies carried by the west that Hamas are beheading children and babies. Biden has just been called out for his administration promoting these lies, but it reinforces the utterly Orwellian fascist western world we live in. No doubt kindly uncle Joe concurs with the Israeli lawmaker who has declared that Israel needs to consider the use of doomsday weapons to purge their land of the Palestinian scum that inhabit the land. And if ypu don’t think so, ask yourself why Biden is sending a nuclear powered aircraft carrier the Gerald R Ford replete with F35 fighters and accompanied by five missile destroyers and other support ships.
The Nazis in the 1930s were pussy cats by comparison to today’s USA and its hegemonic chums.
But maybe we are wrong. Maybe the the Israeli occupied lands are models of democracy and fairness. Maybe the Israeli settlers are warm comforting people who in the spirit of being good neighbours welcome Palestinians as friends. Or is it we are maybe even more wrong when we do not accept that the 2.2 million Palestinians crammed into the Gaza are but savages that should be exterminated, wiped from the face of the earth.
The Nazis in the 1930s had vey much the same ideas about Jews and indeed put some six million up the chimney into mass lime lined burial pits. Seems that the Israeli state has similar ideas about the Palestinians. But for anyone with with even the slenderest shred of human decency they know that what is happening in Gaza today is as bad as what happened back in the 1930s in Germany.
