Let Battle Commence

In a few days’ time, we will know the outcome of the latest UK General Election. The polls and pundits are suggesting a majority of between 40-80 seats at Westminster for the English Tory Party. The same indicators are suggesting that the SNP is likely to win 45+ seats. The only way this will not happen is that something extraordinary occurs between now and Thursday, or there is electoral fraud on an industrial scale in Scotland.

The UK Media, except in Scotland have reluctantly admitted that our First Minister has been the outstanding politician of the campaign. She has charmed and impressed the electorate wherever she has gone. A politician that is honest, answers questions directly and knows their brief is a rarity in UK. Thousands of voters in England have expressed a wish to see SNP candidates in their area. Complimentary as that is, it shows just how politically uneducated, naïve and unaware voters are in the UK.

The most amazing thing in all this is that Boris Johnson and his extreme right-wing Tory Party are going to win any seats at all. He personally and the Tories, in general, have spent this election blatantly lying to the British public. Not just on Brexit but across the full range of policies. These are not little ‘white lies’ but great big, vile, disgusting, criminal type untruths. Had any of them told lies like this in a court of law they would be getting 1-5 years in prison for perjury. Instead, they will be getting a cushy five year sinecure at Westminster. Johnson, the liar in chief, has told whoppers that have been exposed daily. His lieutenants have been equally dishonest and equally found out. Yet for all these lies it seems that the English and Welsh voters egged on by a corrupt media will hand them victory. Stockholm Syndrome it seems is an epidemic in parts of the union.

Then there is Jeremy Corbyn an individual much maligned by the vile English media. He has dithered throughout the campaign much in the same way as he dithers every day on most topics. As an SNP supporter for all my days, I find myself lacking in much sympathy as the MSM and Broadcasters do their worst to this man and his Party. When we have complained of similar treatment in Scotland Labour supporters laughed and suggested we were all tinfoil hatters. Just like poll tax and other matters it is only taken as relevant when something starts to affect England. Just as with all the Labour leaders before him, Corbyn’s message has been the usual, ‘just give us one more chance and this time we will give you a land of milk and honey.’ This translated means Vote for us because we are not the Tories! The Labour Party is still in transition from the Tory Lite New Labour Party of Blair/Brown. They have some distance to travel before they can even attempt to call themselves a left of centre social democratic party.

It is not my place to tell the Labour Party what it should have done/do to gain the trust of the people. However, all this we will get rid of prescription charges and student fees and nationalise the railways comes over as empty rhetoric. Corbyn has been leader since 2015. He should have shown the rest of the country his blueprint by turning Wales into his test bed. He could have then said to England,  ‘look how we have transformed Wales into a caring left of centre land just like Scotland. He could have said to Scotland.’you don’t have to leave the union we are all on the same page.’ Instead, Corbyn’s Labour Party has left Wales as the worst performing part of the UK. On every single devolved matter Wales lags behind the other 3 component parts of the union. In Scotland his party has opposed every single one of the policies he now espouses. He states that they cannot do these things in Senedd because Westminster has squeezed them financially. Yet in Scotland where we have the same London financial pressures directed towards Holyrood he accuses the SNP of the austerity. How can anyone take him or his promises seriously? Mr Corbyn you and your dick Leonard should not try to con the most educated, politically switched on voters in this union. We see right through you and your chancers in Scotland.

I suppose we have to mention the Not Liberal and Non-Democratic Party. They are hardly worthy of a mention. Their latest leader is a belter. She of the strangulated vowels has taken the Liberals from a very high % of the opinion at the start of the campaign and managed to throw that advantage away on a daily basis. Just as Nicola Sturgeon has impressed the voters throughout the UK with her delivery, her honesty and her integrity Swinson has had the polar opposite effect on UK voters. Her TV performances have been dire to say the least. Her lies about caring for the poor and disadvantaged are not supported by her voting record or her participation in the coalition. Her patronising tone and manner have not gone down with the British public. She is viewed as a bit of a clown. If she manages to hold her seat do not be surprised if the Liberals dump her at the earliest possible opportunity.

This brings me to Scotland and the SNP. The UK Parties have treated us with their usual patronising Anglo-British arrogance. A couple of 3 hour visits and photo op with a can of Irn-Bru, a fishing boat in the background or a glass of whisky in hand. Off the 9 am shuttle and back to England in time for lunch. Tell the Jockos just how shite their country is and how vile and evil SNP are and job done. Leave the rest to the corrupt media.

The SNP has fought their usual doughty campaign using their ground troops to good effect. The media only being a vehicle for the Brits it is what has to be done every election. They have managed a few own goals along the way Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath being the prime example. The FM has been the most impressive performer on the national stage. She has gravitas and way about her that endears her to people and frightens the bejesus out of her opponents. There is no doubt the SNP will win the election in Scotland. There is also no doubt that even if they won 75% of the popular vote and 100% of the seats the unionists would still say it is not enough to suggest Scotland wants a referendum. Dick Leonard, Willie Rennie and the extreme right-wing guy will deny democracy until their last breath.

The only thing left is the scale of the SNP victory on Thursday. The fight for democracy begins on Friday morning. The SNP has to toughen up both internally and externally. They can no longer turn a blind eye to the small band of single issue wreckers now imbedded inside the party. They have to be taken on with no quarter given. They are an irritant in the party and if not removed they will become a cancer that not only destroys the party they will also destroy the entire movement.

Externally we can no longer play by the Westminster/Union rules. Their branch managers have shown they only respect democracy and the will of the people when the result is in their favour. Their overlords in the Anglo-British Imperial HQ in London are equally dismissive of the Scottish voters. The SNP need to stop asking, imploring and begging. It is time to remove the gloves and if need be fight as dirty as those Brits that treat us as a colony. They too must be given no quarter. The pearl grabbers in our midst who think we should all just play nicely and hope that the Brits will play fair need to be told the reality and need to step aside and leave this to the adults.

From Friday onwards. We demand, we do not ask. We disrupt, we do not comply. We agitate, we do not accommodate. We dominate, we do not yield.

Independence is never granted, it is only ever taken!

  • Scotland could not ask for a better First Minister than Nicola Sturgeon after independence, but right now we need a fighter.

I’ve always thought that was why Alec Salmond was targetted, and why the allegations against him are now being pushed into the limelight. He was the fighter, the bruiser, that we could do with now.

  • Good to hear someone talk with a bit of grit Roddy, come the 13th whatever the outcome I don’t want to hear Nicola or anyone else from the SNP even mention the word Brexit.

Brexit is Englands problem they created it, they voted for it, leave them to deal with it, no more softly softly approach, we’ve tried reason, we’ve tried compromise, they’re not interested

We are in for the fight of our lives, I just hope the SNP stand up to the plate, they are up against a vicious and formidable enemy (make no mistake they ARE our enemy) they will have to be ruthless not only with the Westminster establishment but their 5th columnist lackeys north of the border

  • “From Friday onwards. We demand, we do not ask. We disrupt, we do not comply. We agitate, we do not accommodate.
