Independence For Scotland Party are pleased to announce the agreement of vetting procedures for the party and are now inviting members to put themselves forward to join the vetting panel.
Our aim is to have prominent local figures in the Yes movement standing for the Scottish Parliament to focus on achieving our goal of Scottish independence. Members will receive communication in the next few weeks with instructions on how to apply to become a candidate. There will be a 3 stage process for any member who wishes to apply to become one of our candidates for the upcoming election and those wishing to do so will undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure only the strongest applicants go through to the final hustings process.
This represents yet another stride forward towards our readiness as a party to contest every region at the upcoming election and shows the significant progress made by the team.
ISP are also announcing the publication of a video primer for the Additional Member System to explain to prospective voters why they should consider voting for us on the list. This video can be viewed and shared through the following link: https://youtu.be/h9wi_SRqCgY
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
I want a Scottish parliament with as many pro-independence members as possible, so therefore considering voting for the IPS as it seems more viable than voting SNP with both votes. The D’Hond system confuses me a little
The explanation on the video is the best explanation of the List System that I’ve heard or provided.
There are very minor points of even further improvement that could be suggested but to do so with my imperfect English might lead to comments being misunderstood.
Excellent wee video it should be shared everywhere.
An excellent video. Well done ISP. Keep up the good work and you may well get my vote.
As a point of info there used to be (probably still is) a simple but effective video describing the Holyrood voting system on the Scotgov website.
