  • Even though for some reason you’ve blocked me on Twitter, I still read your blog and agree with it 99% of the time. I hope your fishing trip is just a wee holiday. Enjoy

  • Hi Roddy,

Heard you were throwing in the towel and just wanted to say that I enjoy your hugely informative and entertaining Prism shows.

Please know that no matter how scunnered you are feeling, that your show helps cheer up the rest of us Independence supporters when we are feeling that the cause is failing.

The New Scottish Media will be weaker without your ascerbic wit and interviews with folk that don’t get a look in on BritNat and Corporate MSM.

This following on from the recent news Colin Dunn is also stepping back from the fray and the same with Stu Campbell has thoroughly depressed me.

Scotland needs folk like you, unafraid to grasp the thistle and help inform the discussions and debates we mere mortals have when trying to convince others of the benefits of and best route to Independence for Scotland.

  • Started visiting after stu Campbell stepped back, hope it’s not the end! Your content has been excellent really helps me keep the heid re: Indy in these really tough times.
Aw the best hope to see you soon BB.

  • I’m so sad to read this. You were one of the people keeping me going. I stayed because you kept fighting. So I figured I should keep on too. Sorry – that isn’t meant to be a guilt thing! Just explaining what you were doing for people – and for the cause. You’re such a big part of this.

BUT – I don’t blame you ONE BIT for now needing to head off to the ole fishing hole. Take the time you need. Catch some of those critters and enjoy every minute of trying to outsmart ’em! YOU DESERVE IT. (As Gordon Lightfoot says:) I wish you good spaces!

See you at the end of fishing season! (I hope!) If not, enjoy every single gin you drink between now & whenever… And always remember – your friends love ye! xx

  • Hi Roddy Maggie C posted this link and comment on WOS

    https://twitter.com/bigandymccoll/status/1411667331600769026?s=20

Looks like Roddy has had enough as well as the other bloggers , The Snp have really managed to destroy the indy movement with their inaction re Independence .

Although not a member of twatter I went on to the link and quite honestly I was disgusted at the comments towards yourself , a member of the SNP for 30 years , an activist in many campaigns and elections , a fundraiser and active supporter and defender of the SNP
I have NEVER been a member of any political party although I have always supported independence but quite honestly the rancorous bile aimed and directed at you and others because you support the UN stated conditions for participating in a referendum is an indication that the SNP and its current crop of messiah apologists are lukewarm on the priority of independence

It is often said The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result , so sticking with the same SNP voting franchise where 70% of incomers voted against independence for Scotland whilst Scots born people voted over 50% for independence , would that be considered insanity
I think any incomer who truly believed and wanted independence would be happy to forego the franchise

  • The problem we have is not the political leaders of the SNP but the supporters of independence who cannot see the bleeding obvious that Sturgeon and her gang will never deliver independence because they don’t want to. In 20 years time these same numpties will be saying indyref2 will take place after the next election just give both votes to the SNP SNP.

  • Two years is far too long for any grandparent not to see their grandchildren. Take as long as you want/need.

It seems to be taking a long time for a lot of independence supporters to accept the reality that Sturgeon is a charlatan. Even the most pig headed of them will eventually come to accept the truth. Unfortunately their ongoing support of Sturgeon and her Unionist gang has damaged the independence cause.

  • Roddy, imo all yes marches in Edinburgh should head for the parliament, snp HQ,and Bute house. And angrily make our feelings known, time for the people’s gloves tae come affect,wi this shower
